Still so good. The new location has worked well. Easier parking. Still great fresh kielbasa and others meats. The holiday crowds can be large, but they are quite efficient. Jerky and German weiners are other standouts. In the freezers you can get pierogi, cabbage rolls and much much more. read more

Best meat market in the area. Always clean. Excellent homemade products. Must try the Hot shots and jerky. Friendly and knowledgeable staff.

We love Frank's Market. They have the best beef jerky. We also love their hot shots. And sometimes we try their sausages or chorizo. They are super friendly and helpful. We have been to both Grand Rapids and Grand Haven. read more

Clean and friendly meat store you say? And they have some stable grocery items?? AND they have coolers of options if beverages?? So what I am telling you is in a pinch, they can be a one stop shop of deliciousness! If you haven't stopped into Franks Meat Market, I must admit, you're missing out. Prices are fair. They are locally owned. And, they have hot shots. In my opinion, the best meat sticks to be created on this Earth! Hot shots range in flavors, three are actually pictured in my post but I had them mix two. I ordered Honey BBQ, their traditional Hot Shot - more like a mild spicy - and then the cheddar hot shots (close second fav to the Honey BBQ)! They offer jalapeño and jalapeño cheddar if you want a spicier kick! Even though the hype is real on those, let's not forget the other meats. Beef, chicken, pork...sausages, kielbasa, bratwursts...you name it, they probably have it! read more

Stopped in today...just impulse buying. Got some corn on the cob (thumbs down) some kielbasa, Italian sausage... Paid handsomely for some Delmonico Steaks - couldn't wait to grill them on our pellet grill...but, they were tasteless, grizzle, texture like a bad sirloin. Not impressed at all, likely won't be back. I used to like going to the butcher shop. Back to Meijer - where I'm almost always very happy with the steak I get - for less! read more

Been going here for 15ish yrs and also when they were at their previous location. My favorite thing was the hot shots, they have changed since last year. They have gotten shorter by 3-4in and wider by a few mm. The other thing that changed was the flavor or should I say the lack there of. They just tasted like meat with little to no spiciness. They were never super hot to begin with but there was at least a slight amount of heat almost like half the spiciness of Tostitos mild salsa. I was really let down as I'm from out of town so whenever I come back to see family I get the foods I grew up with/familiar with/can't get in NY. read more

I have been coming here since 1980. I was 10 when I first started coming for beef jerky and hotshots back then. The best in town. Now as I'm older I come for all my meat, lunch meats and cheese. They have a great variety of real good meats and I love the sausage and kielbasa..bacon out of this world. This place is a staple for me at products in my neighborhood. If your not shopping at Frank's meat market on West Fulton, you are missing out. Real meat, no fake meat, no added fillers, just delicious wholesome food. Why not give them a try if you haven't already. You'll be glad you did. They also sell a variety of other things, including ready to eat submarine sandwiches..when on the go. read more

Frank's Market!! ⁣ ⁣ Happy Weekend GR!⁣ ⁣ Franks Market is a family owned and run meat market since 1933 that is truly a West Side tradition. ⁣ ⁣ My family has been going to Frank's since I was a kid. I'm a 4th generation customer you guys! Our fam has been buying keilbasa from Frank's since they opened! (Polish Heritage) ⁣ ⁣ We love their fresh sirloin burgers, keilbasa, mock chicken, specialty stuffed brats and hot shots. And their service is hard to beat! ⁣ ⁣ (Pro tip: They're kindaaaaa famous for their hot shots - so stop in to try them & prove them right! ) ⁣ ⁣ If you've ever been, I think you'll agree that this is one of those "if you know, you know" places. ⁣ read more

Stopped in today to get some meat and sausage. The hamburger meat was good, but the pork Polish Kabasa homemade was awful. I boiled it like I always do and it had no flavor; very white looking. I had to add some gravy so the girls would eat it. I have learned to never again buy sausage w/ cheese that is pre wrapped; it is disgusting I'm not sure what happened at Frank's read more

Frank's Market - The address is wrong in Yelp. Frank's Market is now at 1017 just up the street about a 1/4 mile on the other side. - Grocery Near Me - Grand Rapids, Michigan

The Hot Shots, Bacon, & Fresh Kielbasa are my favorites and have enough drawing power to bring me into Grand Rapids from Standale and after that, I buy whatever tickles my fancy. read more

I hate coming in here, because there are usually 3-5 guys behind the counter without masks who look like they're sizing me up. No offense, but I don't want to be looked up and down/sized up when I go to buy sausages. I've also heard them make fun of other customers that were in the store. They were trying to keep it whispered, but I heard them saying some super rude things. The staff has a very juvenile sense of professionalism. Other than that, the sausage cuts are decent and they have a decent beer selection. Don't come here for Polish food though, because it's not good. It's basically the same kind of low quality "Polish" Kielbasa and Pierogi you'd find at Wal-Mart or Meijer. I thought I'd like this place, but the staff's immaturity has made sure I never come in again. read more

I grew up on Jaworski's in Hamtramck, something only sausage purists will remember. Frank's kielbasa is perfect, right out of the 40s and 50s. This is a great store, clean, great meat counter, better sausage, qualify beef and good service. Since Stan's Market on Joseph Compau closed, Franks would be "best in Michigan." read more

Frank's is amazing! Reminds me of the butcher shop my family frequented as a kid. Good service and a great set of products. Love the jalapeño hot shots, jerky, bacon and meatballs. Great cuts of steak including ribeyes, filets and porterhouse and many more. Delmonico ribeyes have perfect amount of marbling. If they don't have something fresh they're likely to have some vacuum packed in the freezer. Definitely my go to meat market. read more

This place has such a good selection of meat. The Polish sausage is the best in town, hands down. It is homemade and out of this world. Last year during the local Polish festival I saw several trucks pull up from the Polish Halls that sold food. What were they buying? Franks Polish sausage, not grandmas, not some Eckridge sausage crap, FRANKS! One of the best birthday presents I ever got was a 2lb package of Franks Polish sausage. I had never had it before and was in love from the first bite. On top of that the jerky, meat, chicken....oh and the cold cuts. Everything I tried is great. And the service.....second to none. You walk in, there are always a couple guys behind the counter to help. You are doing your tastebuds a disservice if you are buying your meat at Meijer, or some other mega-mart. O read more

If you've not been to Frank's Market recently you should think about visiting them at their new store. It's beautiful! the meat selection is fantastic, the environment is simple, clean, and friendly, not to mention their prices are very competitive. I recently stopped in to stock up on meat and purchased pork chops, ground beef, a chuck roast, kielbasa, and a few of their honey BBQ snack sticks. All the meat was fresh and delicious, and if you like sausage the kielbasa is some of the best I've had. You'll not be disappointed after a visit to Frank's. read more

Frank's Market has the most delicious papaya I have ever tasted. I have an autoimmune disease, and I am proud to say that I love the selection of foods that I have chosen that are aligned with my diet. Very good quality meat fresh and frozen. Not a wide variety of things otherwise, mainly just the basics. I wish they would invest a little into offering more products. You might expect things to be a little fancier for the price but it seems like more is put into quality. I don't doubt their meat, even later on in the week like some places. They have the best jerky I've tasted in my life. They have these meat sticks as well that seem very popular. Living in the neighborhood, it's a good store for meat but you usually need to stop somewhere else to get things for a full meal. They sell pop cans for 75 cents and 20 ounces for $1.50, fifty cents cheaper than the liquor store next door. read more

So. What can I say. Frank's is amazing. This is the place you go for fresh meats, polish food, and a smoked meats aroma that will make you drool. The prices are excellent for fresh local meat. The smoked sausages and homemade beef jerky are sooooo good. I also recommend you try a sub sandwich from there too. Very good and cheap!!! read more

There's little I look forward to more when traveling home to the frigid state of Michigan than Kielbasa from Frank's. It is seriously the most amazing thing ever to touch my lips and the only thing that would make me happier is if I could get some shipped to me in Atlanta instead of only getting to indulge when I visit the fam (HINT HINT). If you haven't tried it you absolutely must. read more

I have grown up on Frank's Meat Market's fresh kielbasa. I always remember growing up and when my mom would need to get more fresh kielbasa, we would venture down to Frank's from Kentwood, and the smell is full of nostalgia. I remember when Frank would always give me an apple when I was little. Did he do this to all of the kids when they came in? Aside from my nostalgia, Frank's fresh kielbasa is top notch. It tastes like it has more garlic than other market's fresh kielbasa, and just tasted more "fresh" and flavorful. The market is also very clean, organized nicely, and all of their other meats are very fresh. I would also recommend the Kracki and Keilbasa Loaf lunch meats, which I also grew up on. The staff and customer service is also excellent, and the handsome young men always provide service with a smile! I would recommend Frank's if you are looking for a nice meat market on the west side with excellent Keilbasa and other meats! read more

Got Brats from Frank's this past Thursday. Really delish! Best I've had from a market in a long time. Juicy and flavorful. I had the regular and cheddar jalapeño. Can't wait to go back and try their kielbasa. So glad to have found them! read more

When it comes to old school butcher shops, it truly is as good as it gets. One of the hidden gems here are the "hot shots"; smoked sausage with a kick, not too spicy, but just right to wash down with a cold beer. The staff here is also something of legend. I have always lived in Chicago, but was taken here when I visited my folks in G & R. This place gives you that nostalgic feel, even though it shouldn't. Kielbasa is what this place is known for, but the cuts of meat, knowledgeable staff, and carry out items are all items that make this place 5 stars. read more

Frank's Market - Inside - Grocery Near Me - Grand Rapids, Michigan

Frank's is the absolute BEST meat market that I have found in Grand Rapids. They have a super friendly staff, that are willing to help you find whatever it is that you need. They also have a great selection of high quality meats and cheeses. Also has a small market area with milk, and buns, and condiments, etc. Definitely have to try their sausages and pierogies, as they're the best in Grand Rapids! read more

I picked up two New York Strips (15.99 a lb.) and grilled them for a belated Fathers Day. I was very satisfied with the quality of meat. The price was approximate to most other shops, though I feel it was higher than some of the shops on the NW side of GR. If you haven't been to this shop before there is a little parking lot on the corner of National and Fulton. Then you just have to walk about 25 yards to the shop, which is next to the Bitter End Coffee shop. Or there is a little drive in between the little pharmacy on the opposite side, which it looked like you could also park in. Staff and service were prompt and readily available. read more

Frank's is the best. My mother got our meats there when I was a kid, I buy my meats there, and my son shops there now. Frank's is friendly, clean and has a small town butcher shop feel. You are waited on by a friendly and helpful staff that takes the time to make sure you have what you want. They have a great varity of meats, and very affordable prices. Their kielbasa and breakfast sausage are better than anyone's in town. And the amazing aroma when you walk throught the door, will make you wish you never had to leave. read more

Great place to buy Polish food! I am much more impressed with Frank's than with Lewandoski's. Frank's staff is friendly and helpful, the store is just large enough to carry a great selection and is well organized. Food is wonderful - I love their frozen "cabbage rolls" (galumpki :) Only downside is parking can be a challenge, but the food is worth it! read more

Best meat market in town hands-down. Love their kielbasa... all the flavor without the weird gelatinous chunks you find in other links. Hot shots are off the hook... and If you're looking for a good steak, try the tri-tips! read more

I grew up on franks meat. Their Kielbasa, Jerky, & Hot Shots are amazingly delicious. My mother would always make their kielbasa once a week along with a bowl of macaroni and tomatoes when I was growing up and I honestly can say no kielbasa I have ever had can even come close to Franks. My mom would always buy a couple of their pickles and we would slices them up and eat them when we were having our TV night usually watching my mother favorite show Knots Landing. That was about 30 years ago and I still love Franks. They offer great deals on meat packages also. But their kielbasa is something you will never forget. My brother moved to Arkansas year and years ago and he always wants Franks kielbasa when he visits and talks about how much he misses it. If you never had Franks I urge you to try it because you will love it and no other kielbasa will ever compare. read more

I love going to Frank's. Service is great! All the guys are so friendly and answer my many questions with patience. I get their bacon - a fantastic price - pork chops, provolone cheese, and anything else that sounds good. I (meaning my fiance) haven't tried their burger yet, but we might soon. We love this little Westside gem. read more

Love the Hot Shots! Great service, prices, and everything is fresh. The bacon is amazing I love to use it for brunches.

The best Polish sausage, Andouille sausage, bacon (OMG!) jerky (they're all good, but the BBQ is even more incredible), pirogi...you name it - TOP NOTCH. This rating is for customer service only as I haven't had the opportunity to taste the food (which sounds amazing). I just moved to town and had an early morning interview. I was afraid that my mini-recorder might run out of batteries, so I thought I would get some batteries. I stopped at the market thinking they might have some for sale; they did not. The gentlemen proceeded to get two batteries from the store's personal stash for me to have. I tried to pay, but he was too kind and wouldn't let me. It was a very kind gesture and very much appreciated. I can't wait to go back for the products! read more

I grew up on Frank's meats. I now live in Washington state. It may be beautiful here, but they don't know what a meat market is. When we come home to visit, we always visit & bring meat home in coolers with dry ice. With the cost of an extra bag, we are now considering having meat shipped. Holidays are just not the same without some of Frank's smoked & fresh Keilbasa! We visit in two weeks & I can't wait. read more

I don't go here too often but I've been buying Kielbasa, wieners and hot shots from Franks whenever I feel the urge. I recently tried the other place in town just to compare. Turns out I like Franks much better. I believe Franks is seasoned just right, not salty which I found with the other place's Kielbasa. read more
