Went in for dinner tonight with a group of 27…read more This dining reservation was made at least a month in advance and confirmed four days prior to the meal. When we arrived we were escorted to a nicely prepared table for all. I was a bit dismayed when it appeared as there was only one waiter assigned to the group but he was very nice and began our drink orders immediately. A second server placed chips and salsa on our table and the wait began. It was more than 45 minutes before our drinks were delivered that included both alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages and water. There was another person to help deliver the drinks when the auction began. Our server then took our dinner order (all 27). An hour later some of the dishes began to arrive and were auctioned off by another server to the guest who had ordered. (We hadn't seen our waiter the entire wait- we talked about drink refills but figured our waiter threw in the towel and left). All but 8 of the guests were served dinner by now with about a third finished. 1 hour and 45 min into the wait, the waiter came to one guest and said they were out of the steak she had ordered. 5 people were still without food at the 2 hour and 15 min mark. The last dish was served when everyone else was finished and needless to say no one was impressed. The food was not as expected, there were several orders wrong- most dishes were cold by the time they got to the table. There were a few people that thought their meal was good. Chimichangas were not crunchy, chili rellenos tasted as though the red sauce was ketchup. We were comped for all but our drinks. Yikes. We go out with this group monthly and have never had an experience as ridiculous as this.
