Mark-Caesar is an exception to the rule when it comes to the many issues owners have to deal with. First and foremost, he is a real, thoughtful mechanic, not just a technician who replaces parts. He is also often less expensive than dealerships, while delivering higher-quality work--especially as your vehicle ages. Years ago, I owned a Sienna that leaked oil. The former Weitzes Toyota "repaired" it for $900, only for the oil light to come back on. Their solution was that I should consider buying a new vehicle rather than addressing the issue. Mark was aghast at that suggestion. He recommended an oil change with a high-zinc content, asked me to monitor the oil, and return when it dropped by 1L. The issue was resolved for under $200, and I was able to keep the vehicle for several more years. On another occasion, an extended family member's Venza had a non-functioning left high beam. The dealership ed a very expensive and unnecessary $3,000+ repair to replace the entire headlight assembly. Mark identified the actual part causing the problem and resolved the issue for less than a third of the dealership's quote. He is straightforward, honest, and genuinely has his customers' best interests at heart. In fact, if your vehicle is no longer worth repairing, he will tell you honestly to get rid of it. I have happily recommended friends and family members to Mark-Caesar's, and they have become regular customers who all sing his praises. You would be hard-pressed to find anyone equal to him, never mind better.

There was a hiccup one time last summer. They did over tighten the the bolt when they changed the oil causing oil leakage and a lot of panic from us. I had to get my tires swapped for winter tires and my go to shop was booked up for over a week. I called Raymond on a Thursday afternoon and he slotted me in for Saturday at 5:30pm. I got there for my appointment and didn't have to wait long as he finished up servicing a client's car. Got my tires (on rims) swapped for $40 and oil change for $45. I found the oil change price a bit higher than most shops since most in the area are around $30-$35 especially since it's a basic oil change on a 2009 Corolla. But hey it's not a biggie since he accommodated me quickly to get my tires swapped. Raymond finished off the service by saying I'll need my transmission fluid changed during the next oil change. I asked him the cost and his price is $85 to get that service done. Overall it's a good place. I wonder how he'll do for other services in the future. Now I have visited a few auto shops in the area, it's great to have a few options to compare prices and service quality especially since these places are always busy when you need your car serviced most.

Recently my boyfriend had his car tuned up at this shop. After a day or two he noticed there was a rocking on the passenger side that we could both hear sometimes. Concerned and annoyed as we had just had it looked at My boyfriend brought it back to shop where he asked the Mechanic to sit in the car with him for a drive so he could also hear the sound. The mechanic refused multiple times and kept telling him it was on the drivers side. Adjusted the driver's side and didn't even bother to look at the side that was concerning us. The same sound existed then for another day after which my boyfriend asked the owner himself to sit in the car and have a drive around. He then stated that yes it was a problem on the passenger side and to bring the car back in. Fast forward to the next day as my boyfriend is about to take a very long drive to Windsor he hears a scraping sound. Concerned again he takes it to another shop where immediately they found the issue. The mechanic at B&J neglected to replace a bolt and tighten another screw. 2 things that could've cost my boyfriend his life on the highway. I am annoyed because he went back multiple times paid out of pocket and still had to go to another mechanic to actually get the issue fixed. I wouldn't say don't go here, I'm not trying to shut down anyone's business. Just a cautionary word to people who are having their car looked at, If you feel something is off say something. Even though you might not know everything about cars, if one person doesn't listen to you someone else will. Don't let someone do cheap work on your vehicle just cause its cheaper. You could risk your life and whom ever else's in the car. To the gentleman in charge please train your people correctly especially in the service of fixing cars. People drive their families around in these things and we go to trusted auto technicians in hopes that we can trust them to keep us safe. I'd hate for anything to happen to anyone because a mechanic was to lazy or not paying attention and forgot to replace something.

did my tie rod ends and took it to him for an alignment done and it was honestly really overpriced…read morealone.. fyi im a mechanic, we just dont have an alignment bay. he then tried quoting me $800 for an exhaust leak patch claiming it needs a new exhaust system n hes gonna custom weld in a new system from the headers back and what not. i went to minute muffler down the street on finch and weston got it patched for $80. big difference from the scamming $800. recently my buddy got a car and i went with him to inspect it. i knew the deeps of it after i inspected it so I knew what we were getting ourselves into. I was on vacation and couldn't do his service so he told me one of his friends referred this mechanic too my buddy. I warned him and he didn't listen and ended up taking the car there anyways. he did his regular maintenance services and what not, but then the mechanic there claimed it needed new pads cuz they were squeaking and low.. I checked those pads they have about 50% life left and they did have a squeak, which we all know it just needa a brake service. not an entire replacement. he takes advantage of people with less mechanical knowledge and what not knowing theyll fall for it anyways giving him the win and scam he was digging for. steer away and stay safe from this shop. upselling and scamming is his precision expertice.
