I would give them 10 stars if that was possible. Leonard's book restoration are the best at what they do. They have restored four of my antique Bibles as well as my personal regular Bible. One of the Bibles that they restored for me was an 1820 King James version, and they brought it back to practically mint condition. It is a priceless item in my bookshelf! The price for their service is very affordable. They could charge a lot more for the quality that they provide. My dad has had his Bible restored by Leonard's. I referred a fellow pastor to Leonard's book restoration and they restored his Bible. And they are thrilled by the transformation done to their Bibles. I can't speak highly enough about Leonard's book Restoration. They are super friendly, very professional, and they do know what they are doing. My bible had a bonded leather cover that was disintegrating after ten years, but I didn't want to buy a new bible. Leonard's rebound my husband's bible years ago, and did a beautiful job on it, so i got in touch with them again. My bible needed pages restitched and the cover redone. They 'ironed' all the pages that had bent corners and the cover is absolutely gorgeous. AND it only took them two weeks! (The estimate was 4-6.) I have had two books rebound at Leonard's, both Italian, from 1846 and 1570, respectively. The first was completed in a professional manner, and I was quite pleased. The second, however, was a different story. For some reason, the bindery decided to put an English-language label on the spine. It was clear that I wounded the feelings of the proprietor when I attempted to point out the inappropriateness of this choice. Their best solution was to excise part of the label, which left a hole in which a red dot appeared. They did this at no additional cost, for which I should be grateful, but after several years their nonchalance and condescending attitude still rankles. read more

I could not be happier with the repair Leonard's Book Restoration completed on my Bible. The Bible was only 9 years old but was originally a fake leather that fell apart pretty quickly. Since I had notes in it, I wanted to keep the pages but enjoy a new cover. Leonard's estimation process was thorough and detailed. They answered questions pleasantly with any feedback I needed. The turnaround time and shipping was faster than expected. They did an amazing job! The Bible looks awesome! I chose the mahogany English calfskin with black lettering on the spine. The combination is a great look. The calfskin is a nice weight, being fairly thick but still quite flexible without flopping too much. Leonard's smoothed the crumpled pages and repaired the binding. I had a Bible rebound here a while ago. It was a new ESV Study Bible that I wanted change up. I was able to talk to them and tell them exactly what I wanted. They answered all of my questions and walked me through the process. It took a few weeks (because it's a small shop and everything is done by hand) but when my Bible came I was blown away. The quality was top notch. It turned out even better than I was hoping. The materials were high quality (I chose goatskin) and the workmanship was great. Over the past two years I've had the experts and kind people at Leonard's repair over 25, old, damaged collectible gems of illustrated books from the late 1800s and early 1900s and they have done a wonderful and creative job. These 100+ year-old books were almost un-useable and unreadable due to their condition. Leonard's recased, repaired or put them into new bindings so that they are now usable and beautiful.
