Today, stopped in to print a workbook for a book I'm reading. It was 36 pages- paid total of 5.35 (you pay a small fee to send the documents for printing). They didn't have bags though. I inquired about holes ( so I can put it in a binder) and wellll that didn't turn out well. They didn't have a standard hole puncher. Sooo the hole puncher contraption did... fail (check out photo). Otherwise, Monica was pleasant. I'll get a folder and not a binder or maybe a hole puncher.

Eventually, they moved into this two storefront location a bit west on East 82nd Street. They share space with Rumble, a boxing/fitness outfit that recently hosted a Yelp event. This is definitely a much smaller spot. Self-serve options are more limited, though they do exist including the ability to copy. The maximum package weight that can be shipped here is 150 lbs. Despite being much smaller, this location still offers both printing and shipping services. Printing services include self-service copying, scanning, and faxing. They also include shredding, copy/print, free wi-fi hotspot, passport photos/renewals/expediting, direct mail, computer all-access stations, architecture/construction/engineering prints, business cards, flyers, postcards, labels, promo products, custom-branded boxes, padded mailers, and more. Shipping services include getting a shipping label, express drop-off, ground drop-off, being able to hold both express and ground packages for pickup (great for those not able to be home for a package), QR code returns, return shipping, packing, packaging supplies, and international shipping. There are two accessible parking spots directly in front of Rumble with a curb-cut. There's a blue-striped spot between the two spots for wheelchair access (technically NOT ADA since ADA requires blue stripe access for both passenger and driver). Still, it's better than most. There's a single glass entry doorway. It's within visibility of the counter if assistance is needed, though when I entered the sole employee was in the back. I only needed to ship out a lab test on this visit. It was pre-packaged with a shipping label already affixed. The employee took the box, gave me a receipt, explained tracking, and we were done. He was friendly, efficient, and I was out pretty quickly. A customer actually opened the door for me on the way out. I spent many special projects hanging out at the old Kinko's. I've always kind of missed it, but time moves on. This was a solid visit to this new location and I won't hesitate to go back if needed. While it seems easier to just have FedEx drive by the house to pick up a package, I've always found drop-off easier and this worked quite well.

Kept talking over me just shouting instructions at me and not understanding why I was confused. Then acted like "she didn't know how to help me" which was a complete lie. When I told them I was going to try restarting the return. I hear them walk back to someone in the back. Tell them what I did in a whisper and the other person start chuckling. They came back and was standing there watching me struggle, not helping and I explained I thought I had done something wrong. Then this person proceeds to explain how sellers can pick how they want items returned. THEY KNEW THIS INFO THE ENTIRE TIME AND CHOSE NOT TO EXPLAIN AND INSTEAD GO MAKE FUN OF ME. Worst possible customer service. This person needs to not work with people.

I'm pretty disappointed with the customer service I experienced at Staples…read more We had a print order made, and the sizing came out slightly off. Nothing major. We simply asked the associate at pickup if she could trim the edges using the in store cutters so we could take it with us correctly sized. Our pickup was scheduled for 7:30 PM. She told us she couldn't do it because they were closing soon, and instead offered to take it back and have us return the next day to pick it up. Mind you, this is something that would have taken maybe five minutes at most. It was frustrating because we planned our pickup around the scheduled time, and the job itself was already completed. We weren't asking for a redesign or reprint, just a quick trim so we could leave with the finished product. This type of customer service is exactly why people are moving away from shopping in stores. Convenience should apply to the customer, not just the staff. Taking a few extra minutes to make sure a guest leaves satisfied goes a long way. There definitely needs to be better training around customer care and problem solving in moments like this. Small interactions shape the entire brand experience, and unfortunately this one missed the mark.
