Joe from JD Electrical is very dishonest and irresponsible. We called him to set up an appointment…read moreand he gave us a date a few weeks out. He was supposed to come on Tue Nov 12. He never sent any email confirmation at any point. I was a bit concerned so I called him the week before to confirm. At that point he said, oops I don't have you in my book but I will fit you in for Wed. at 9:30 AM instead of Tues. Wed. Nov 13 came and he was a no-show. We called him back, and at that point, he lied and claimed that the appointment was supposed to be for next Wed. Nov 20. We had never agreed for him to come on the 20th and that was not what we had set up. He was quite rude, actually. Moving the goalposts because he is irresponsible. I bet he found some other work elsewhere to do so he just stood us up. We asked him why he never sent any email confirmation and his answer was that he doesn't do that. Sounds very lazy and unprofessional. The guy claims he's been doing this for over 20 years, but he sounds like a drug addict and I'm surprised anyone would use him at all.

My plumber and carpenter who worked jointly with them on a renovation were equally impressed. Add to the superior craftsmanship, the dependability and trustworthiness of their employees. I really dislike leaving negative reviews for small businesses, and I gave Pigeon Hill Electric the…read moreopportunity to resolve this directly before posting publicly. I hired them to replace the outlets and light switches throughout my home and paid a little over $650 for the work. Unfortunately, after the work was completed, every three-way switch in my house was no longer functioning properly. I contacted Pigeon Hill Electric about the issue and was told they would return to correct the work. That never happened. I have followed up multiple times and have since received no response. I also requested a partial refund given that I will now need to hire another electrician to diagnose and repair the switches, and that request has also gone unanswered. Mistakes happen, and I would not be leaving this review simply because something went wrong. My concern is the lack of follow-through after the problem was brought to their attention. I paid for electrical work to be completed correctly, was promised the problem would be fixed, and have now been left with improperly functioning switches, an additional repair expense, and no communication. Unfortunately, based on my experience, I cannot recommend Pigeon Hill Electric.
