Pro Tip: Write down/email ahead of time shots you'd like for family photos, ceremony, etc. so you know what to prioritize and know what you can hand over for creative reign/room. For example it rained on our day so we got some mismatching umbrellas, with "it's raining" faces in our audience. However, we had some flexibility during our reception and the McAnally's took us out for a night photoshoot project which turned into some really cool photos we will treasure forever (attached).

Together they are a dynamic duo. They both have a special eye on what makes a shot great: Tab is great at ensuring small and easily overlooked details are just right (like my hair not laying right, or the guy's jackets bunching up in odd spots), and Jake is great at posing the shot in the most balanced and beautiful way. They are dedicated and uncompromising in their vision. "Good enough" isn't in their vocabulary or work ethic. 2. They are professionals in knowing how to execute a busy, schedule-packed day. Weddings are stressful enough, knowing it's one thing after another. While myself and the bridesmaids were running behind in Hair/Makeup, Tab and Jake were on top of it, being flexible to adjust their timing on where they were supposed to be (with us vs the groomsmen). Additionally, Tab kept reassuring me that we would still get all the shots we wanted/needed, and she was RIGHT. They timed and adjusted everything perfectly so we could still have an off-site First Look & wedding party photoshoot BEFORE the ceremony, despite our time crunch. Just WOW. 3. Some comments on here have recounted stories that, based on my experience, seem to be over-dramatized. I found Tab and Jake to both be very receptive to shot requests and ideas, from all parties!! They have a gung-ho enthusiasm and directness that I found reassuring on such a stressful day. They took command of their (major) responsibilities for the day and ensured that everything would be perfect for us. One story I'll recount that I was particularly thankful for: My fiance has a large extended family, and we wanted to avoid getting stuck in a loop of pictures after the ceremony. Jake and Tab had our preferred shot list, and helped us stick to it. When the extended family began creeping in to ask for photos, Jake and Tab politely but professionally handled the situation for us. It's awkward to tell our own family 'no', but they handled it for us. Whew! 4. They are so incredibly hard working. They were literally somehow in 100 places at once, getting all the photos and video that we wanted. While I know they were everywhere at once, they also did not interfere with the wedding day or the guests. They made sure that the day was about us. TLDR: Jake and Tab take amazing and creative photos. They are professionals who take ownership of their responsibilities day of, and I trusted them wholeheartedly to guide us through the day. Edlyn was helpful by helping us relax and giving us ideas on how we should go about taking the photos. We had taken them in downtown Stockton (not the most safest place in town) and the pictures came out as if they were taken in another more picturesque city. I've known Shereen for a few years now, and have had the pleasure of working with her for Family Portraits and, most recently, for my daughter's Senior Portraits (my daughter's photos are absolutely BEAUTIFUL!) What makes Shereen special is her ability to put her subjects at ease in front of the lens, her creative use of locations and poses, and how she really knows how to shoot flattering angles and capture a person's essence in her photos. That's not something that just any photographer can do! She's also very professional and reliable. My experiences with Shereen have been excellent, and I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a photographer for a wedding, engagement portraits, family portraits, senior portraits, or any special event. You can read my review on that encounter in my last review for him. I closed out that review by stating that I was so impressed, that I left a 24-105mm f/4.0L for him to look at. At this point, I don't even remember what was wrong with it. He worked on the lens and got it back into working condition and called me. It's 71 miles from my house to his shop. I made the drive down and in the course of conversation, Scott said that he would be more than happy to sell it for me and could get up to $400 for the lens. That particular lens was the first lens that I bought for my Canon 5D. It was my only lens for at least five years. Needless to say, I did everything with it. When I returned to my local fire department as a volunteer photographer, I added a few more lenses to my arsenal included the Mark II version of the same lens. Since I didn't need the one Scott had just repaired, I asked him to sell it for me. I didn't hear from Scott for quite a while, but the lens wasn't my priority. I do a lot of volunteer work, and I had enough equipment to keep working. I called him in April of 2025 to check status, and it hadn't sold yet. We spoke briefly about lowering the price. I told him I would take $300. I didn't hear from Scott again until August when he said he had a buyer for $275. I told him that $300 was the price that we had agreed on and he said that he would "make up the difference". I didn't fall off from the turnip truck just yesterday. I know that the difference of whatever he sold it for and what I got would be his profit. But I also know that when you are selling something on consignment, you have no right to arbitrarily lower the price without the owner's permission. His "making up the difference" meant that he made less profit. He asked when I would be driving down to pick up the check. I asked Scott to simply mail it to me. Every time, I've visited him at his place of business, I've had to call to let him know when I was close and sometimes, he wouldn't be there. I know as a single person business operation, clients need your time, meetings run long, photoshoots take longer than expected. I figured getting a check by mail would be easier for both of us. In October of 2025, I called for and left a message for an update. January 30th of this year, I called and Scott told me that I should have received the check by now and that he would have to check with his bookkeeper to find out what happened to the check. Yesterday, 3/23, left a message letting him know how disappointed I was with his lack of communication. And so here I am, dropping my five-star rating for him to one-star. Next will be the Better Business Bureau. I may never see my $300 again but I don't want to see other hard-working photographers get taken for a ride.

My husband and I both decided that our photographer would be the most important vendor at our wedding, so we placed a lot of emphasis on trying to find the perfect one throughout the planning process. Lauren was just that, and more! Her talent is unmatched, we could not be more happy with the way our engagement and wedding day photos turned out. They are absolutely stunning and will definitely stand the test of time. We just received our wedding album and are completely blown away with how well it turned out.
