We had family reunion photos in William Land Park (Sacracmento) recently. Ages ran the gamut - from 3 years to 73. We're thrilled with the outcome and how easy it was to work with Shawna - I live clear across the country, and the rest of our family was coming from all different areas including Southern California, England, Colorado, Oregon Virginia and Florida. Right now we're preparing out Christmas cards and will be purchasing larger photos in canvas for our home. I highly recommend! read more

Called to ask about availability for photography coverage for a public event and had a very unprofessional experience. I was abruptly hung up on twice, even after introducing myself and explaining the event. A simple "we're unavailable" would have been appreciated. Disappointing customer service. read more

So far my interaction with Briggs Photography has been amazing! I ordered a Gift Certificate for my sister for Christmas and Briggs designed a beautiful certificate for me to give her. She has been fast in her responses as well which is always awesome. Once the photos are done I will let yall know how they turn out, if they are anywhere close to being as good as her other works I will be a satisfied customer indeed :) read more

We have known Shawna and Richard for years, so when it came time to pick our wedding photographers, we immediately called them! First, our engagement shoot was amazing! We went to Santa Cruz and had so much fun! Shawna went above and beyond to capture the essence of Eric and I's relationship: fun, silly, and loving! When it came time for our wedding day, we had all the confidence Shawna and Richard would knock it out of the park... and they did!!! Our wedding was at Lake Tahoe Golf Course in South Lake Tahoe in July of this year. Shawna and Richard made the day flow effortlessly! When we got the photos back, we were beyond impressed and excited about them! The photos are beautiful and timeless! From the pictures of Eric and I, the first look with my dad, the bridal party, the detail shots, candid moments, family shots, dancing, and everything in between.. Shawna and Richard shot so many wonderful pictures. I am so happy to have these to look back on for the rest of our lives! Shawna and Richard are not only amazing at their jobs, but also friendly, funny, and professional. We love them very much! If you are questioning booking with Briggs photography... DO IT!! read more

We absolutely LOVED working with Shawna and Richard Briggs. They were excellent communicators in the planning months before our wedding and listened to every request we had. Shawna even allowed me to call her in the evening to answer a question I had days before the wedding. The quality of their images and the album they produce is outstanding. I would highly recommend using them for any photography needs! read more

I have SO many good things to say about Richard & Shawna, I don't even know where to begin! Richard and Shawna are the perfect team. My husband HATES HATES HATES taking pictures, and they are the only ones who can get him to cooperate, smile, and have fun. Sometimes, it's so fun, I think he forgets we are taking pictures! From the engagement session on, a relationship builds with Richard & Shawna which allows them to really capture their bride and groom's personalities. The relationships they build with their couples seems to last as many of them come back after the wedding for maternity, newborn, and children's pictures. Since our Our wedding pictures were BEYOND gorgeous. In fact, our wedding was in July 2010 and because there are just so many amazing pictures, I cannot decide which ones to use to make our book. I could seriously go on for DAYS about how fabulous, fun, professional, amazing, creative and talented Briggs Photography is, but this review would turn into an essay! Bottom line is Briggs is the best choice! read more

We had an amazing experience working with Shawna and Richard! We were planning our Northern California Wedding from Seattle and they were a pleasure to work with and made the whole process so easy! We did our engagement session in San Francisco and the photos were incredible. They were relaxed and easy to work with and put both my husband and I at ease throughout the whole session. We were even happier when we saw the photos-they captured us beautifully. We had the same experience the day of the wedding, they were so relaxed which helped all of us enjoy the day! We have not received all our photos yet, but the few we have seen are great and I can't wait to see the rest. Richard and Shawna also worked great with out DJ and our venue, they all had worked together before and had a great relationship, they were professional and kind throughout the whole process and it was clear they enjoyed what they were doing and who they were working with. read more

We just finished our engagement photos, and Shawna and Richard have been an absolute joy to work with. I chose them because I saw their beautiful "crystal glance" wedding books displayed at several wedding venues in the area, and went ahead with booking them because they had amazing personalities. My fiance and I took our engagement photos in Carmel and are just thrilled with how beautiful they turned out. The Briggs have a gift for capturing the meaningful shots. They will be photographing our wedding this October, and I will update my review then! :) read more

Shawna and Richard are the best photographers in town! They definitely have a gift and work great together. They make you feel so comfortable while taking pictures and help capture great memories! They are very professional and great to be around. From our engagement shoot to our wedding, they make sure they get what they need, to make sure they give you a variety of shots. Although the wedding was on a tight time schedule, they were able to make sure we got the shots needed in the time frame that they had. They also make sure to give you some sneak peak photos just a couple days after. And we're excited to see what the rest of the photos look like. Definitely recommend them for any photo shoot needed. The best it gets! From the day I met them to discuss having them shoot my wedding, I knew I had to hire them! Their kindness and relaxed demeanor lead me to feel as if we were old friends, catching up, talking about my upcoming wedding. Shawna and Richard are amazingly talented, kind and professional. These two pay close attention to detail without feeling overbearing. Their prices are more than reasonable for their talent and for their accomodations! They are my new go-to photographers for life! read more

Garrett, my fiancé, and I both have had minimal exposure to having our pictures done professionally. Briggs Photography was hands down one of our best wedding decisions. Shawna and Richard not only made our Engagement Photo day so much fun (seriously Garrett and I had a blast--so many laughs and great conversation)...but they also took our ideas and style into consideration throughout the shoot. I cannot wait to see our engagement photos from Pacific and OakFarm vineyards and cannot wait for them to work their magic and showcase their impeccable talent when I marry my best friend. read more

Amazing photography-wonderful, kind people. We had photos of our son taken and they are awesome! They photographed him so naturally and although he was not very cooperative, they captured his little personality so well. They were also so patient and kind as he stood still as stone and caught the very few candid moments he did have. I definitely recommend them as prompt, thorough photographers and as great people! read more

Stop looking at other photographers...you are wasting your time!!!! I spent a lot of time researching photographers for my wedding on Sunday and let me tell you I was so grateful I was referred to the Briggs by a friend. Richard and Shawna make an amazing team and are able to really capture the the best photographs, they are incredible easy to work with and are true professionals. For someone who REALLY doesn't like to take pictures I must say they are really fun to work with. I could write 10 paragraphs about how wonderful they are but please take my word for it, they are the best in the area! Wedding pictures can be expensive and there aren't any do overs if the wedding day pictures don't come out right so do yourself a favor and go with the best! read more

The pictures were good once we got them, the wedding was July 2007 and we are still waiting on the big picture in January 2012. It's a shame I have to give one star, the daughter took the pictures and she was fun to work with, the Dad took the engagement pictures and he was late, then rude and after the wedding we are having to deal with him, nighmare. read more

Horrible. First of all they did not show up to the engagement photo session and they wouldn't refund my deposit!! So i had to reschedule the engagement session and then to top it off at our wedding they missed everything on my list (grandparents dancing, toast, etc.) They aren't dependable!! You may get one good photo out of the whole day. Don't book for your wedding. You will be so disappointed. Im so lucky i at east had a videographer there. read more

What amazing, talented people!!! We were beyond impressed with their work for our wedding! The pictures were gorgeous and they captured all the important memories from that day and more. Briggs Photography is the best! I recently hosted a large event and had Rich, Shawna, and their staff as the event's premiere photographers. One of the best wedding-related decisions we made was to hire Briggs Photography for our daughter's engagement and wedding pictures. One word comes to mind to describe these two highly talented photographers: AMAZING. Richard and Shawna are a joy to work with. They are professional, dependable, friendly, and williing to go out of his/her way to capture the perfect shot (time and again). On the day of the wedding, in 104 degree temperature, they remained calm, flexible, accommodating, and totally committed to ensuring the pictures they took captured the romance and beauty of my daughter's and son-in-law's wedding day. They came highly recommended to us, and now I know why. read more
