I have an event to go to and a tie is required, Belk is the only apparent haute couture in Kinston so I stopped in, The men's department was hard to find because it's probably the smallest in the store. Eventually, I spotted a dozen or two ties to choose from and at $15, that's too rich for my blood. Only one of them was close to the color scheme I needed and I'm just not going to spend that much money for something I will wear once. I have a bunch at home. A lady came out of the back and told me that my father could bring them back the next day with the receipt of my daughter could not wear them. That all I needed was the shoes and the receipt. My daughter could not wear them my father took them back and the store would not honor what we were told. Informed us that the woman in question did not work there. However, the girl who rung us up knew her and told us she worked there and the same lady came out of the back room of the store. I live 3 hours 200 miles away from there and to get my money back they want me to drive that distance instead of honoring the return that was promised by their employee.
