    Breakfast
    Nathan D.

I arrived at Euston flustered and wondering how on earth people do the early morning commute every day. My train wasn't for another 45 minutes so I decided to give Leon a try. Best decision I could have made. For the uninitiated, Leon do great food, but the breakfasts are a bit egg-centric. So as a guy who has been known to 'chunder everywhere' like a gap yaaaa student from eating eggs, I felt a bit underwhelmed. Sometimes you are just craving a sausage and bacon sandwich with avocado and haloumi... Anyway. The lady behind the counter was super friendly and when I asked for recommendations, it was a toss up between some berry-muesli-thing, and a porridge pot with banana, honey and CHOCOLATE - appropriately titled: Porridge Of The Gods. I was recommended the latter. We had a good chat about how young I looked, (thanks Clinique) and she very kindly got a bit carried away with the stamper, meaning I get a free drink or treat on my next visit. I'm not sure if that is a typical day at Leon, but it completely turned my morning around, and I'll 100% go back next time I'm at Euston!

Service was good but food was terrible. Flavor was too plain and rice was undercooked.

Not the worse burger I've had, not the best either. But too…read moregreasy and the fries portions are really small.

Most overrated place ever... I kept seeing long queues outside this place for ages and I really…read morewanted to see what all the hype was about. There's 3 main burger options and then you add all the toppings you like to customise your burger. While my boyfriend asked for all of the toppings I asked for the plain bacon cheeseburger as I wanted something simple. I obviously tried both options and they were equally disappointing. My boyfriend's burger was juicier than mine for to the peppers and onions that made it taste more fresh, while mine was a mass of meat and plastic-y cheese that I can easily dub 'the artery clogger' because it felt like I'd need a double bypass after eating it. Not to mention that the bacon was bone dry and crunchy, borderline burnt to a crisp and breaking in crumbs when you bit into it. Honestly worst bacon I've ever tried. To be honest the variety of toppings was very underwhelming as the choices were something you expect from a basic burger (mayo, onions, tomatoes etc). With gourmet burgers in your average pub offering avocado, egg or pulled pork and even your local spoons burger coming with onion rings, Five Guys is really not bringing anything new to the table. The skin on chips were enough to vaguely justify the £4 and they were decent so I was happy with them. However, my highlight was getting free pints of water which on its own says a lot about what this place has to offer. This place is a glorified Mc Donald's with pretty much the same quality as far as flavour or texture are concerned and five times the price to fool you int thinking it's a real restaurant. I do not intend to go back there again as it was a complete waste of money to eat something basic and unhealthy.

Five Guys - Banana milkshake to die for... It's so thick that even with only a little left the straw stays upright!
