$55 blue and white striped wrap dress, with shorts attached underneath

Pros: This is a cute little boutique that always draws me in with their front window display. Their jewelry is always so dainty and delicate looking. They also have some trendy, well-made pieces at decent prices (~$45 for a shirt and ~$55 for a dress). I got an adorable blue and white striped wrap dress, which has shorts attached underneath. It was perfect for a dinner by the marina! (See photo below) It was pretty windy, and the shorts saved me from a couple Marilyn Monroe moments... Cons: Sadly, since it's a small store, the more popular pieces are often sold out in size small. I'm 5'7" and 115 lbs, and the small usually fits me well. The dress I got was only available in medium or large, so I had to get a medium and pin in the sides. Another downside is the customer service. I've found that the employees are usually pretty unfriendly, and don't even bother to smile or welcome you into the store. It can also be a pain to find parking. For a close and affordable parking lot, I recommend the Aiso St. Parking Garage at 101 N. Judge John Aiso St.

I'm always wary of venturing into small, trendy boutiques like this. I'm averse to absurd prices and pushy sales people. I like to quietly peruse without feeling watched or pressured into buying anything. Well, I took my chances and strolled into Leola Lace on a lunch break and I'm so glad I did! Their selection is small, but their items are stylish, well-made and well priced. Tops are around $25+ and dresses around $40+. They have new items coming in every week, and they boast a wide variety of styles ranging from classic to hipster. They have their own wonderful line of jewelry that is unique and dainty-definitely classy pieces that will be chic for years to come. Service is wonderful! Great music! A hidden gem!

I like Leola. Come here while you are waiting for your ramen. Or just come in here for a cute outfit. The feel in here is upbeat an fresh. Almost nautical with the rope drape and cheery sunlight. Clothes are feminine. They have tiny necklaces and fun jewelry. I also love the fringe purses. Price points are reasonable. It's a small space so when it fills quikly be prepared to get boxed in.

Super cute. Super affordable. Nuff said. This place is where shopping spree dreams are made of. The jewelry is to die for. Unique delicate pieces at ratchet Forever21 prices but looking and feeling much more expensive. I ended up going in earlier in the day and returning again later. Got my sister her graduate present here and twinning with "matching" crane necklaces. I'll be back for sure.

I stopped by Leola Lace yesterday on a whim as I was headed down the block for sushi and happened to park around the corner. Where has this shop been all my life?!?! Although I didn't really look at the clothes and handbags, everything was very cute and the prices were phenomenal. I was drawn to the jewelry at the center table: earrings, necklaces with adorable center pieces, and bracelets. There was also more higher quality jewelry near the register. I ended up buying two necklaces and one ring for a little over $30. The woman working there was very nice, too. I feel like this is LA's best kept secret when it comes to low price, cute jewelry, like the ones I've been drooling over on Etsy. I can't wait to go back there to get more things for myself and gifts for friends and family.

Leola Lace recently opened in the Little Tokyo area, and I'm excited to have such a great selection of accessories, clothing, and jewelry. This is the perfect spot for gifts, and accessibly priced accessories to change up your style without having to worry about spending 1/3 of your rent money. It's located conveniently on one of the hottest corners in Little Tokyo just couple stores away from Daikokuya (hey, there are other amazing fooderies in Little Tokyo, folks, just fyi) and it stay open late for a great drop-in shopping while you wait to get your ramen and shredded pork bowl. Searched it up on the good ol' IG, and Leolalace has over 50,000 followers. For me, that means that this is a place with heart, passion, and fantastic style. Check it out, you'll be happy you did.

    My Leola Lace haul. Obsessed!

The sister and I were in Little Tokyo and decided to check out this place since our favorite YouTuber discovered it. It was kind of hard to find for us, but it's on the corner of 1st St. and Judge John Aiso St. (the building with the clock). The store has really cute decor inside! Lots of branches for displaying and nicely lit. The woman working there was really nice and patient with us - we were shopping in there for at least an hour, LOL. They have mostly jewelry, but there's also a good amount of clothing and accessories. Prices aren't bad! Most of the jewelry is $12-15, but they also have some higher quality gold/sterling silver pieces that are $30+. They have a lot of great delicate necklaces - great for the whole layering trend right now! As for the clothing, prices aren't that great, so I'd probably skip on that. Thank you, Leola Lace, for such an enjoyable shopping experience! I ended up getting quite a few pieces and I'm obsessed with them :D

You will find a wide range of gifts, at very reasonable prices. Some of these items include small ceramic pieces such as vases and small dishes suitable for stashing jewelry or other trinkets, crocheted animals and artistically designed maps of cities. I have also enjoyed the handmade soaps and other lovely, fragrant body products. I have often admired the jewelry on display, made by artisans running small businesses. There are a number of very interesting pieces: a gold/silver duo-tone necklace recently caught my eye and there are a number of pieces using labradorite and other less "mainstream" stones. As someone who write people frequently via snail mail, I have come to rely on Sumi's as one of my primary supplier of cards. Regardless of when I shop, I always find something that either a) cracks me up or b) is perfect for a message to a particular friend of family member. You will also find cute stuffed animals, scarves, posters, naughty cross-stitch patterns and more. Sumi's has a gift for just about anyone. Sumi and the other staff members have been universally friendly and willing to chat about various pieces they carry in the store. If you are shopping for presents, I would highly recommend a visit.
