My mother got her eye exam here today and was told there were no public bathrooms while waiting for her husband to finish his eye exam. The front desk suggested that she walk to McDonald's. They will not be buying any glasses from LensCrafters, nor returning for any other annual exams. If you sell high-end or expensive products, like designer eyeglasses, you should be above and beyond basic customer service, which includes having restrooms available. read more

They promised to have my sunglasses in my hand and be able to wear within 14 days. At 13 days, I called and they weren't sure if my lenses came in and then, suddenly found that they had, but their "cutter" would not be in few a few days. I needed my sunglasses for a trip to CA. I asked if they could simply send the lenses across the street to get them cut, but they refused. Don't trust their word on anything. Go anywhere else to buy your glasses. read more

I am not posting this about Lens Crafters I am posting this about Tucson Family Eye Care. This is the optometrist in Lens Crafters. The place was absolutely filthy. there were old chairs in the waiting area. 2 ladies that didn't seem to care about the place. there was junk all over the carpet and someone spit chewing tobacco on the floor. I was really wanting to leave but didn't. The receptionist did the glaucoma and another test and also did part of the eye exam. I have never had that happen before. The optometrist came in and spent like 5 minutes at the most with me. I was not happy with the way the Phoropter was not adjusted properly and I was uncomfortable. I am hoping my prescription is right. I still wont go back even if it is. This is suppose to be like a doctors office clean. read more

They people working there were nice and they had a decent selection of frames, but their up charge for the different choices of progressive lens was outrageous. Of course the cheapest were the ones with the least range in them. The widest range was an upsell of $900. That's just crazy. I gave three stars because it would be a decent place to go if you only need single lenses and not progressives. read more

Came in needed a new nose piece for my Prada glasses and he took them apart cleaned all parts did something to the lenses to really make them easier to clean and replaced both nose pieces with new no charge and done in under 15 minutes excellent customer service and care! LensCrafters was a nightmare. Just wanted new sunglass lenses, simple. I'd been there before so they had all my old information but could not/would not deliver. After 2 months of aggravation and finally a full refund, I'm stuck with "new" lenses I cannot wear. Worst of all and without my consent, they threw my old ones away. I would not recommend them. I was really impressed with not only the large selection of eye wear at LensCrafters but the customer service is exemplary. They were very busy when I walked in but was quickly greeted and explained to about where different categories of glasses were and then was given an eye glass box to start on my selections. I found the perfect pair for me (my daughter was with me so she did the job of the rep with her "Yes; No; OMG No; I like those; Ugh take those OFF; Oh - those are THE ones!," assistance) and told one of the reps I was ready. Just a moment later I was sitting down with a tech who helped me order my glasses. I didn't have my insurance card with me but it didn't faze her at all. She quickly got on the phone to verify coverage and then we wrapped things up. I know people can get their glasses the same day at LensCrafters but my frames were not in stock so it took 5 days before I got the call that they were ready. But those 5 days included a Sunday and New Years Day. Picked my glasses up after work and only had to wait 5-7 minutes before my frames were in front of me being fitted to my face. LensCrafters is obviously very busy when people get off work but again, the customer service and wonderful treatment of their clients did not falter. read more

I was able to schedule an appointment within one week which worked out great for me. This location is easy to find and there is plenty of parking. My first impression upon walking in was that it's very clean and they have a wide selection of frames. Since this was my first time at this location, I arrived 10 minutes prior to my appt time. After 10 minutes of browsing lenses, an employee approaches me and asks how can they help. I said that I have an appointment at x o'clock. The employee responded with something along the lines of "someone will be right out to grab you." 20 minutes later, I realize there's a separate "eye exam" waiting area. The ladies behind the counter had me fill out paperwork. I was incredibly annoyed by this point because I just wasted half an hour waiting for, nothing basically. The eye exam itself was very quick and the doctor was very professional and efficient. They sanitize the devices before putting them up to your face and cleanliness was top notch which is why they redeemed themselves at this point. One important detail to note is the optometrist bills separate from lens crafters. The employee that helped me with my lenses was very helpful. They use tablets to locate your insurance benefit details and search for frames. They place your final order into their computer and this is where you render payment for the frames. I would definitely return to this location but upon scheduling your appointment, an employee should inform you that there is a designated eye exam area you need to report to. It's clearly labeled "eye exams" but I clearly cannot see that far, which is ultimately why I scheduled this appointment. read more

Good overall experience. Saw Dr. Ginman for an exam. He was thorough, smart, and friendly. Walked out with a week's worth of trial contacts as I was switching brands. No check of the eyes with the lenses in, though, which seemed weird. No hard push to buy the lenses through them, which is always appreciated, and no issues getting the script released after the trial was over. The LensCrafters side was pretty much what you'd expect. Reasonable selection. Lots and lots of name brand frames which isn't my thing personally because I just use glasses for watching TV at night but I know it's important to lots of full-time glasses wearers. I do wish the process of buying the glasses was more transparent. The employee did lots of tap tap tapping on their iPad and magically came up with an amount. I guess my age is showing but I like being given an itemized list and allowed to take my time reviewing each item. It felt rushed and pressured though I didn't feel I was getting ripped off or taken advantage of. I just prefer more transparency and a slower pace. It's several hundred dollars if you're getting new frames, transition bifocals, etc, so I prefer to be intentional. Overall a good experience and we will be back next year! read more

I scheduled my appointment on LensCrafters.com and was helped immediately when I walked in. They were so friendly and kind when doing my exam. Also helpful in understanding when I asked about my eyes compared to last year. They were able to successfully do the retinal scan, which the LensCrafters in Ohio told me my eyes were too small last year. But let me tell you about Josue. That guy is amazing. I wasn't really sure where to look for the style and kind of glasses. I just knew I wanted nose pads on my glasses because the current ones I didn't like after trying the no nose pads. Josue immediately helped me, he suggested a few and gave me a tray for me to look at myself. He wasn't pushy and he was great. He was really honest about how certain lenses looked and told me about things that could affect my lenses for me to properly see correctly. I had like 7-8 that I liked and process of elimination I was able to narrow down to the two. One eye glasses and sun glasses. He was so professional and helpful when I asked for his opinion. It made it so relatable because he had sunglasses and eye glasses with transitions. I was going to buy myself sunglasses for the first time so having his suggestions and opinions was so helpful. I couldn't help but really be thankful. This LensCrafters really hit it out of the park with the customer service and professionalism. Thank you josue! Amazingly impressed! I truly appreciates the help I got from Matt, Maranda and Christina!!! So, one of my eye glasses had this bubbly build up around one of the lenses and the other was completely destroyed by someone who accidentally stepped on them. I thought that was it for both glasses. Did I mentioned that these glasses wasn't only expensive, but are fairly new. Theses guys all helped me at the same time, amazing!!! I honestly thought for over a year that was it until I finally took them in along with my daughter's glasses that needed adjustment. Both of my glasses got repaired. I purchased Ray Ban frames at LensCrafters several years ago and the frames are still exceptional. I saw a private Ophthalmologist who updated my script. I took it to LensCrafters and was told it would cost $950.00 to fill my script in my old frames. Then told only $650 if I bought the exact same frames and new lenses as they offered a discount when you buy both. I can add and it is cheaper to do just lenses without frames and this adds up to LensCrafters equals illogical pricing. It concerned me enough that I then took my old frames to Walmart optical and they filled my script for $150.00 total bill. I see perfectly and my frames are still like new. I had never been a Walmart fan, but a friend of mine had been very pleased so I gave them a shot, and they nailed it. I will go back to Walmart optical again and again. read more

This location went out of their way to observe and enforce safe COVID protocols - temp, gloves, hand sanitizer, glasses cleaning between clients and overall customer considerations to make it safe and a pleasant experience. I was anxious going to look for glasses but my insurance window is closing so I went at about 2:30 on a Tuesday and only three other customers were there and I observed staff taking temps and educating customers on the protocols. I left feeling pleased with my shopping experience and am looking forward to my new glasses ( I have special lenses that require more time to fill) read more

I stopped in to look for new glasses. I'm giving one star because the staff was rude and Nit Picky. I almost turned into a Karen. Everything I did seemed to be wrong. I had a mask on but would take it off my face to look at myself with the different frames. They said I had to immediately put my mask up in between glasses. so take one pair off, pull mask up then immediately put a different pair on and pull mask down. Also all I wanted to do was look at frames and they wouldn't let me without them standing beside me letting me know what I was doing wrong. I will NEVER go back in there. I went to VisionWorks and was treated with respect. LensCrafters will never get my business. read more

Service during the initial visit was good BUT that's all the positive we can say. It has been over two weeks since the order for the glasses was placed and we have gotten nothing but a run around on when they will be delivered to the store for fitting. Every time we call we are told that they might be in the afternoon or next days shipment. We have been told this five time so far. Communication has been very one sided with them never calling us to update the status of the order. Given the competition I would really consider anywhere else but this store for my prescription eye-ware. read more

I have been coming to Lenscrafter in the Big Lots Shopping Center on Oracle for years. I buy expensive high-end eyewear. This last visit, I spent over $1000 in frame alone. I also understand the importance of sanitizing due to COVID. It is extremely important!! Unfortunately the way I was just spoken to because needing to be cautious was Startling and Embarrassing! Not thinking, I grabbed a pair if Ray-Ban frames looked at them and layed them back down. Being I don'tknow the woman's name, I'll just give her a name! "Ms. White Lab Coat" harshly and across the room, popped off about now having to sanitize the frames! Being a professional myself,, and having taught professionalism classes, Ms. White Coat's tone, to include her body language, was extremely unprofessional.. Another woman shopping frames looked at me and raised her eyebrows,, as if to say, "Damn-better watch yourself!" I did not wait to get a credit I have coming, I will just call, and I will go to a different location going forward!! Ms. White Coat either needs to find a job that keeps her away from customers, or take her angry self, some much need professionalism classes! read more

Okay, the optometrist is great and that is separate company then Lenscrafters, but in the same bldg. Lenscrafters however are horrible and that manager seriously needs to learn customer service. Here's the scene. I need to take a whiz. I tell her that I plan to drop about 1,500 in the store (which I was with 3 pairs of glasses), but I needed to use the bathroom. She tells me no, it's not for the public. Well, I'm there for an eye exam and plan to buy eyewear that is going to be a great day for your retail business. Nope she says, she's the only person on the floor, mind you it's 9 am and there is no one there, and that there are two employees in the back. Anyway, she has to walk me to the restroom because it's also for wheelchairs. Well, I'm not in a wheelchair. Basically, she is saying we don't trust our customers and thus we have to watch you walk into the bathroom. Needlessly to say, I am NOT buying the glasses from there. It's odd really, since nationally their sales are horrible and we are in a pandemic. read more

My Grandmother had an eye doctor appointment at the LensCrafters location inside the Tucson Mall. They didn't have the specific types of lenses she needed there, so we went over to the location across the street. We were assisted by Tate, a very nice and professional young man. He took time out to explain everything to myself and my Grandmother and even gave her a high five for getting her accufit picture right on the first try. Glasses were ready on time and we ordered her sunglasses for pickup. He went so far to ask for my number so they could call me and let me know that her sunglasses were ready since I was her driver. He took time out to explain the discounts he was able to give us through AARP as well as her insurance. Tate is a true asset to the company! Great place I go here every year for my glasses. I was assisted by Lloyd who made sure my order is always right. Even worked with my insurance VSP since it is out of network. I have ray ban sunglasses and expected to have to wait for the lens. They have limited stock of lenses but was able to get them less than a week. More like in that same day!
