I mentioned this to Dr. Todd and he began his "quest" to find the reason. After several exams and a couple of different pair of lenses he actually made a significant improvement in my vision. Instead of being able to only read for a few minutes at a time I can now read for an hour or more without taking a break! This means the world to me and I will be forever grateful!! When was able to talk to a human being was told is was "their policy." The explanation was confusing. inconsistent and disjointed. It makes me wonder if they are having cash flow issues. The outcome was beyond words, I now have 20/20 vision as determined by the day after surgery exam. I had the right eye corrected in the same fashion on April 30th. I had my day after surgery exam performed today 5/1/2025 and I have 20/20 vision in my right eye as well. The entire experience with Zion Eye Institute was nothing short of fantastic, to the entire support staff and to Dr Denny I now for the first time in my life can see without glasses.

I bought my glasses from Standard Optical 10 months ago. 5 months ago the frame cracked in half at the nose bridge after normal usage. They replaced it no charge under warranty. 5 months later (last Friday) they broke again. Same place. I went to the store and they told me since they weren't under warranty now (they only give you one warranty replacement) they could only give me a 50% discount on a new frame. Had I realized how poor of quality the frames they sold me (which were supposedly the "high end" frames) were I wouldn't have bought them. I'm always super careful with my glasses so it was definitely a defective product, not unusual abuse or anything. I've had glasses for over 10 years (previous pairs were purchased from Costco) and this is the first time I've ever had a frame break. If I were to do it again I'd go to Costco and get glasses that are 1/3 of the price and actually quality.

He said that i could only get the very best Clearview 3 lenses there. They are such high quality that Medicare would not cover them so it would all be out of pocket (9K). He said that when the surgery was complete that I would be able to throw away my glasses, that I would be able to see clearly near and far and wouldn't even need readers. That was in October of 2024. My vision has been cloudy in both eyes ever since. I have been back to see Paul and he has written two prescriptions for glasses, neither of which is any better that my poor vision without them. He has given me no explanation for why this has occurred. I've been to other specialists to see if I can have these removed and replaced and was told that I might end up with a detached retina so I'm stuck with these. I also wrote an email and a letter to Bryan Monson who seems to be good friends with Paul. I described my experience and have not received any response. To say that Paul Gooch overpromised and underdelivered is an understatement. Not sure what his exact relationship with Monson vision is but I can tell you that trusting Paul was a huge mistake.
