The best thing they could do is to close down. Customer service was trash. Not one employee approached me to begin with. Frame selection was dull and limited. They gave me the wrong prescription for my glasses. And to top it off they have been sending me emails to come back to get a new pair of glasses since then. As if I would waste my time. I normally don't have issues with this location but I finally did unfortunately. Went in for warranty on my glasses was told to have a seat. I was never helped. Others walked in after me openly stating that they don't have appointments they were told to have a seat and were seen right away. I am visibly upset now and one of the workers looked at me and told me to wait for someone to be free. Very confused and very upset at what happened today. read more

Got to the store to pick up a pair of glasses. Lights on, one employee present but doors locked. Oh not open till noon. It's now 11AM. The advertised store hours were 10AM. It's a holiday....turned off light when in back. No customer service or concern. As 4 other employees arrived no attempt to help. Waited till last second to open. Asked why the web hours weren't updated for holiday. Oh, we don't have any control. Drove an hour based on their advertised/web hours only to wait another hour. The ophthalmologist at this location is excellent! Extremely thorough in explaining everything, and takes his time to educate on the structures of your eyes, which is something most doctors don't do when examining your eyes. The staff are extremely helpful when trying to look for glasses as well. I've been to this location multiple times and have always had all my questions answered thoroughly, and received everything I needed. read more

The gentleman who helped me and fixed my glasses was extremely Helpful. I think his name was Jacob but I apologize if I have the wrong name. He discussed scratch proof lenses and how to care for them. I told him my new glasses were ordered in New York and I will get them on Monday. So I made an appointment to go to this LensCrafters. I got there when an had my eyes checked got the new prescription. Before I got there I made sure that they took my insurance. And then I go out and I talked to a very tall gentleman and he said I don't take that insurance here we just don't take it explained to him about the insurance and he says I told you we just don't take it. Okay I said. I called my insurance company yesterday and they said they definitely do take it. When she called the store she got a hold of girl claiming she was the manager and then pretty soon she said she was going to have to give it to the manager. The lady on the phone from the insurance company says it's like a girl that just doesn't know how to deal with people. And that's the way it is. I don't think that any of these people here that work here have any idea what to do with customers or they're in the insurance. So even when the insurance company called them they weren't sure about what they were doing. I guess they only want cash. This is how things work at this LensCrafter. It seems like they're very rude. I have no idea what they're doing or they're just completely lazy. I'm not sure but I can tell you this but when the owner actually finds out what's going on I'm pretty sure things are going to change. And if you don't think writing these reviews work trust me they do. I will be calling corporate LensCrafter today explaining my situation to them. Explaining the store and what went on this happened on the 23rd of this month. If I was the owner of this store these people would be gone looking for something else to do. Maybe a coal miner. NEVER use this location as they don't honor their word. Today at 3:34 PM I received a call from them that my lenses were ready. I asked if I could come down and have them installed in my frames quickly to which the woman on the phone replied "yes". I indicated to the woman on the phone that I was coming right away and could be there in 15 minutes. I drove down there expecting to have the lenses installed and was told when I handed over my frames that it would take 1-1/2 hours for the work to be accomplished. That's unacceptable since I was told it wouldn't take long. So I caution anyone considering this location....DONT GO THERE! read more

With consideration and professionalism, Josh seemed to understand my discontent concerning glasses I purchased that don't match my prescription and explained why they don't jive. When I first wrote this review I was a bit upset, so I'm rewriting to better explain my experience... this review doesn't reflect on the optometrist working here. after my appt I went to pick out new frames, the salesman assumed my budget before I mentioned it. Yes I like things affordable, but the frames here and the 40% off lenses were very much within my budget (I have AWFUL eyes so my lenses are the biggest cost for me) as I tried on and picked out frames the sales guy repeatedly told me that I should visit sears for more affordable frames that were more in the budget he assumed I had ‍ when I say repeatedly- at least 2-3 times. I then decided to leave and come back when he's not working. at my next trip in a lady did help me, I had my heart set on rose gold frames from Michael Kors and unfortunately none of the frames were good for my face shape so I decided to wait to see if any new styles would launch soon and come back in a couple weeks. with my prescription being so high I ended up selecting a completely different frame along with sunglasses.. I was pretty much over the fact that the one associate assumed I was too broke to shop there as the others didn't seem to treat me as poorly until I went to pick up my glasses. no one even said hello when I walked in- after a few minutes I approached one of the associates who told me to take a seat, after waiting a while I asked if there was anyone that could just grab my frames for me so I could head out, I was treated as if I was annoying them... after an exam, contacts, and 2 new glasses i just expected a little bit more than how I was treated.. I like LensCrafters as a company but I don't think I'll be returning to this location in the future. read more

I was denied a contact adjustment d/t the fact that my initial appointment was at the end of the year. I was told that despite having a full exam just a few months prior that I'd need to pay for a new exam for the contact RX to be adjusted (since the calendar year flipped). My insurance was to include 1 free adjustment. Despite asking to be removed from their email list I get spammed regularly. read more

My husband had his eye exam this morning. Dr Meyers was very pleasant. He showed him pictures he took during his exam. He also was extremely pleased with their state of the art equipment. No dilation of the eyes was needed. State of the art equipment did the work. The staff who took Care of him were extremely pleasant. It was a pleasure. I will never use this LensCrafters store again! When I visited my ophthalmologist last week, after missing last year's appointment due to COVID restrictions, I was quite surprised when the doctor asked me who made my glasses. The doctor told me that they didn't match the prescription that I gave them. In fact these glasses don't match any prescription that I ever had, and I have only gone to this ophthalmologist's office since I moved to Florida eleven years ago. Who knew that you're supposed to have someone check the glasses to see that they match your doctor's prescription before you make a final payment and pick them up!? Using LensCrafters Customer Care Live Chat service, I was encouraged to fill out a Customer Care Form which should probably be renamed "We could care less" form. After buying three pairs of glasses that day at the Gulf View Square Mall location, I will not return this year when I order glasses. read more

Treated very poorly at this office down right from the exam on I have a disability and the eye doctor couldn't do anything to help me first time I've ever been to an eye doctor that was so inconsiderate of my disability then to have the girl out in front line trying to pick out glasses not help me at all and basically Yelled at me after I had waited and waited and waited not pleased with the glasses I've gotten and really not pleased with the way they treat people with disabilities glasses hurt my head hurt my nose very unhappy with my glasses I will be returning there this weekend to see what I can do about this but I intend to take this further if you need to treat this people with disabilities with respect to young blonde there should not even be working there she was so rude read more

I really don't know how good or bad a job this office does. I am handicapped and have a hard time walking. When I made the appointment I did not realize and was not told that this particular office was in the middle of a almost out of business shopping mall. So when I got there I hard time finding it because there's no signs on the outside even advertising the Lens crafters store itself Then when I finally figured out what door I had to go through to get to the business it was impossible for me to walk there! It was easily a 30 or 40 foot walk just to get to the main doors to get into the mall and because the mall is large inside and dying there were no Handicap accessible features. No wheelchairs or carts And no customer service person to talk to etc. After walking a fairly long distance I still could not find LensCrafters and I gave up and turned around and went back and to set on a bench inside, called up LC and canceled my appointment on my mobile phone. I just want anybody who has a hard time walking or is legitimately handicap to be aware of the poor conditions this place has for support. read more

I went to this LensCrafters location to use the warranty to replace my son's broken glasses. I am never going to this racist location again unless there is a change in people. From the moment I showed the White male sales associate what I had left of the glasses, I could tell he has his doubts about me (Hispanic looking female). I had only ever bought one pair of glasses for my son and it was at a Lenscrafters in another city. Being in a different city when his glasses were broken I expected to be able to get them replaced there, since that is what they promote. However the sales man first doubted I was at the correct store (the original store was on a different computer system), and then upon discovering the frame wasn't the exact one keyed in (there was obviously a mistake when they keyed in the frame originally) he made no attempt at helping me out after that. A woman came up (also White and I assume a superior to him) stating there was nothing to be done to verify it was really his glasses. So what? I paid EXTRA for a Warranty that I was NOT permitted to use because of a mistake on a receipt that as a customer and not being able to read their acronyms for the glasses would have no way of knowing was a problem from the start?! These people were rude after that and clearly judgmental and doubted my integrity from the moment I walked through the door. I called another location and the women (Hispanic and Indian) were all too happy and quick to correct the problem. read more
