    Y'all please never use Visionworks. First of all I tried…read morethem out because they took our new insurance, this was in MARCH of this year. They have a woman named Jesse (this is at the location at 101 Saloom Farm Rd ate 104 Lafayette, LA 70508.) who works there who is the most fouls human being I've ever had the displeasure of dealing with in customer service. I bartended for TEN YEARS so that should be saying something. This place overcharged me $60 for my initial exam which was COVERED by insurance and only was supposed to be $10. I paid it anyway. I found my contacts at the place I usually go to and have for about 14 years for $34 with my insurance being out of network (todays eye care is the BEST). Vision works wants over $200 for the exact same contacts. I asked them to send the prescription to them they said no problem. Then sent an unsigned prescription. Repeatedly. When I called and told them it needed to be signed I was told I'd have to wait TWO WEEKS until the same doctor who did my exam could come in and sign it, and then they would fax it. This never happened. 5 calls to them later hearing about how I'd have to wait I ask why they can't just send the signed copy from my chart. She tells me they have to shred everything. A blatant lie. I tell her if it's not signed and faxed (this was 2 weeks ago) I would be reporting them to my insurance company. Well, this morning I called todays eye are once again to see If Visionworks sent over my prescription. They had not. So I call and ask to speak with the office manager and I get, once again, Jesse. Who is the person who answered the phone and stated to me "that's me I guess," I tell her what's going on and she starts yelling at me saying she got the verification (the one that she had to shred and isn't in my chart) after having another doctor who isn't the doctor who did my exam that I was initially told by her HAD to sign the prescription, telling me she wouldn't do it and I could come pick it up. I said I have kids I can't just go wherever. (I'm also in a full knee immobilizer at this current moment but she doesn't need to know that). This woman LAUGHS AT ME (not the first time she's done this) and says "I have SIX kids. you can come pick it up." I said "okay, so here's what's going to happen, I'm going to give you their fax number so you can make sure you're sending it to the right place," she cuts me off and is full blown YELLING at me telling me I need to "calm down." I said I am calm my voice has never changed level, she's still yelling so I continue to maintain my voice because unlike her I am a rational human being, and I tell her just so she's aware I'm recording the conversation. She starts yelling in typical Karen fashion that "just so you know it's illegal to record someone without consent," I said "actually the state of Louisiana is a one party consent state, so I don't need your permission." She goes dead silent then says "OKAY SO WHAT DO YOU WANT ME TO DO?" I said, "so once again I'm going to give you their fax number, so we can make sure you have the right number and then you can fax it over." And then after she said "ok" I hung up. I then called Todays eye care who's having their manager call and deal with them after I told them the story and the lies they've told me about not saving my signed script or having an electronic signature. I will NEVER go to Visionworks. I will tell anyone who talks to me about contacts and glasses (which is a lot of people) that they are terrible. I hate how they treated me so much I'm going to take the time out to not only leave reviews on Facebook, but yelp, google. I'm going to file a formal complaint with my vision insurance against them. I'm going to file a complaint with the optometry board. And I'm going to file a complaint with corporate. This is the WORST place I've ever had to deal with ever in my life for contacts and glasses and I'm legally blind without my contacts or glasses and have been in prescription lenses since I was FIVE and I have NEVER been treated so terribly by an optometry office before. -infinity/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND. And if y'all can think of anyone else to report them to please let me know because it's NOVEMBER and I still don't have my signed contact lens script from them when I had my exam in MARCH. #firejesse
