That was about 7 years ago and I've been coming here every ear since. They can evaluate your eyes better than an optometrist in my opinion. This clinic is somewhat geared towards children but I don't think they will turn away adults. One caution would be that they typically use your medical insurance instead of your eye care insurance. So, you may want to check on that if having everything covered under insurance is a high priority. I know when I'm here my eyes are in good hands. Enjoy!

I was referred over to this office by my optometrist. When they called me to schedule an appointment, I asked them to hold while I opened up my Microsoft Outlook calendar to make sure I would be in town. As I confirmed the date I made an entry into my calendar. As with any appt I received a call to remind me of the appointment. Working out of town I sent the call to VM knowing it was a reminder of the upcoming appt. A few days later while clearing out my VM's I came across the reminder message for Dr. Swan and was shocked when the receptionist leaving the VM had a different date than me for my appt. I quickly called to let the office know my appt was not until the following Monday. The office manager informed me I clearly made a mistake and my appt was in fact that day and if I wanted to reschedule I could, but, I'd have to pay a $50 fee, followed up with a boldly comment of, "will you be putting this charge on a credit card?" Completely shocked I told her I did not owe their office any fees as I wasn't yet a patient nor did I sign any forms acknowledging their office policies. I followed up by saying, " if you won't allow me to keep my date then I guess I'll be forced to find another doctor." Detecting strong attitude, I decided to hang up. Within a minutes another lady called me back asking if I would like to reschedule, I responded with absolutely, but I'm not paying a fee for the date discrepancy because I strongly feel the scheduling agent was at fault. I could hear the original lady I had previously spoken with whispering in the background telling this lady what to say. This was beyond tacky, really unprofessional, especially for a medical provider of this caliber. Today my wife informed me I received a bill in the mail for 50$? I'm blown away by the tenacity and arrogance. I've decided that if this is turned over to a collection agency, I'm not dealing with this office staff, I will hand this over to my attorney, at this point these actions push the envelope on both extortion and harassment. Tomorrow I will call my optometrist to inform them of what Dr. Swans office staff is capable of. I could be wrong but I can't help to believe that If Dr. Swan knew his staff acted in this manner he would approve. Mark C.

Fast forward a week they came in. Get home and I could not see anything out of them and the lenses were not the blue mirror I asked for. I called was told my eyes needed to adjust, well a bottle of eye drops and a botttle of Tylenol later still horrible. I was told to come back in. I had to Miss another day of work and postpone a flight for work to do this. I get there and was told no idea why they were not mirrored and was told I needed the progressive lenses to see up close, hello I have zero issues seeing far I only use them for reading and I have a stigmatism. I mean it's their job to know these things. So I either get the full scrip lenses or progressives in a 1000.00 pair of glasses do I say go ahead and do progressives. Well they charge me another 141.00 for these lenses. So they don't do their job, they come in wrong and don't notice e and I have to miss work to come back for their mistake! Do they work for free I bet not. I WILL NEVER GO BACK HERE AGAIN! Now I have to wait another week to get these amazing 1100.00 glasses! These people have zero ethics and professionalism, they were more worried about selling me a warranty than getting my shi* right. NEVER AGAIN, be warned FOLLOW UP. Just be aware of the person who is ringing you up and selling you your glasses....she must get paid on commission. She charged us for all kinds of craps we didn't need. Once we got home and really looked at our receipt, we were charged for all kinds of extra stuff. We called and got it resolved...but it was a little frustrating. Both centers had good customer service. And we got our classes the same day.
