    I dont understand the bad reviews? I have never had a problem with customer service and I think Dr. Vo is excellent!

It is now owned by Bay State which has approximately five locations and was started by Dr. Timothy Lynch years ago. I had zero wait time, and was in and out of there very quickly. The office was modern and comfortable and I was able to get my glasses ordered prior to leaving would definitely recommend Dr. Barrows! She is a great eye doctor!

    Dr. Vantosh is great at what she is doing but the admin work there is unprofessional (as far as…read moreproper billing and explanation of services). Once I made an eye exam and didn't specify nor was I asked if I wanted to do the additional exam for contacts. It was done and I wasn't aware of this being an additional cost, however, I didn't need the extra assessment; it was simply implied I wanted it. I paid for that and let it go. Then this past year, again, another terrible experience. I asked if they would price match the online pricing from another company, and I was told yes. I was never informed that they were price matching me after my insurance allowance (which would've made my decision different). I asked for it to be SELF PAY, I paid in full, then this year I called again and she said you're not eligible through your insurance yet. I was going to submit a claim for reimbursement of my eligible part for last year, but because they were sneaky and unprofessional about it I won't get my reimbursement. I am all about supporting local businesses but when one does things without your explicit consent, it is very unpleasant. Melinda also gave a response over the phone "Well, if you didn't use it you were going to lose it ANYWAY" -Melinda. First of all, you don't talk to a customer that way, neither should you be making a decision on their behalf. I work in healthcare and know very well how it works, I don't need someone processing claims when I explicitly explained the condition on me making a purchase through them and not online. I will also be filing a BBB complaint. Never again am I going back there.
