The customer service isn't all that great along with the outrageous prices they even if you have insurance get ready to burn a hole in your pocket with this place. After having to pay over $800 for single vision lenses and then some got. A promise date of 10 days and my glasses would be ready and yet nope still not done. I guess it's the price I have to pay for not shopping around for a much better place next time having to go to an optical that I could get my glasses in a hour this is just ridiculous and to try and talk to the associates there is even worse they talk over you and don't even let you finish what your trying to say. read more

I purchased glasses with large lenses and due to my prescription the lense is extremely thick causing me to not be able to function with them while walking or driving. I went to the store to make a return for a refund with the intent of going back to my eye dr first to see if the prescription is correct and then I planned to repurchase smaller lenses from lenscrafters so the lense is less thick. I went in the store and they told me to wait on Juan the manager who would take care of the refund. Juan asked me what my issue was and when I explained and told him I wanted to proceed with the refund and come back at a later time to repurchase his behavior was very rude. He told me in the rudest way possible not to go back until I went back to the eye doctor and also told me Not to repurchase the same large lense. He was so upset that I was wanting a refund. He then told me to go to the counter for the refund he then asked me for my credit care card. I advised him I dont have the physical card and asked if he can just charge it back. With a bad attitude he told me no he needs my card which i thought was odd. I told him I then asked for his name and advised him I was going to report him for his bad attitude. He refused to give his last name. Then he rudely told me Im giving him attitude back. I said im the customer and I didnt understand why he is taking my refund so personal. He loudly said he would do the refund but he needs my card. I told him I was going to step aside to contact credit care to see if I could get the card number. I wasnt able to so I told him I would have to come back later this afternoon with the card. He then loudly stated he accessed my account and I have a repeated pattern of doing this. I was baffled because I have not purchased glasses from lens crafters in at least 10 years and I have never made a return here either. I told him I have never made a return here and then he said I was calling him a liar. Please keep in mind this is in front of customers who are watching his theatrical behavior. He was being loud on purpose. I told him he didn't own lens crafters and its their policy to honor refunds if the customer is not happy and thats all I was doing. That he cant be upset and be rude when a customer asks for one. He was rambling something I told the other employees I would come back later with my card and did not want to interact with Juan again. Misleading and unprofessional. We were told the contact lens appointment would be $40 with our Cigna PPO plan. Instead, my wife was charged $140 due to a so-called "required retina exam," even though our insurance clearly covers pupil dilation. She called me on the way home, upset that the office refused to let her leave without paying in full. After calling back, the office admitted the $90 charge was a mistake--our insurance does cover it. Sadly, the front desk staff was cold, dismissive, and rude throughout the experience. What happened to the $40 we were quoted--and the $0 copay I'm supposed to have with my overpriced insurance? The back office billing saved the day and confirmed this shouldn't have happened and refunded the additional $90. Upgraded experience from 1 star to 2 stars. read more

I will never go to LensCrafters again. I got a new pair of Coach eyeglasses in September 2022. I spent quite a bit of money on these frames. I did not get the warranty for these glasses because I was already spending a lot of money for the lenses and the frames. Four months later the screw came loose on one of the hinges. I took the frames in to the store to be repaired as I could not fix them because I could not see. They fixed the hinge by putting another screw in but said that the screw was not going to last and that was all they could do since I didn't have the warranty. Also that once the hinge comes unscrewed that they will not be able to fix them again. I have not had these glasses for even 6 months and they are already breaking. I will never go to LensCrafters again. A name brand pair of glasses should last longer than 4 months. I wish I could of got my money back and gone somewhere else. Staff is courteous and they have a nice selection, and I like that my glasses were ready the same day. But I think the employees need better training. I have a pair of non prescription Rayban sunglasses that I wanted prescription lenses put in. The sales associate told me multiple times that the lenses I want aren't available, and wouldn't even check, saying that "Rayban doesn't even make that finish in prescription lenses." Well, guess who ordered the same exact glasses, with the lens finish that I wanted, from the Rayban website today? Kinda sad that the employee was so arrogant and wouldn't even check on it. I'm never going back to lenscrafters again. I will first be honest and say that the staff has been courteous when I have been in the store. However, they do not offer same-day service anymore "because the machine messes them up and people always return them", so they send them off to get done instead and tell you "it'll only be 3-7 days, and we will text you" I waited the full 7 days plus one more- then I called to check on them. I got a snarky reply that they weren't done yet and that theres no need to call, because they'll send a text. I waited ANOTHER WEEK and still nothing, so I called again. A woman answered and said they were going to be shipped the next day, and again said not to call because they would text. Finally got my glasses but had to take them back because the Rx was wrong. 3 months ago Sometime in Sept. I purchased a pair of Oakley gauge 3.1 I liked the style but 4 times in a month had to keep getting them repaired! Regretting buying them at this point. Getting told how fragile they are and be more careful. after each repair seemed worse than the last. Treating me like it's my fault. I also felt like I have been a long time fan of Oakley but thought this was a bad design and poor quality because the Arms kept breaking from lenses, lenses once were returned from repair slanted inward instead of flat with my face, I'm sure that caused one on the breaks.. I felt vindicated when in McAllen TX. on business they broke again 2 days after the last repair on the way down to McAllen .. I was there for a week and needed my glasses. I found a lens crafters there in the La Plaza mall. I called ahead to see if they would offer to help.. long story short.. after the repair for the first time after purchase they felt sturdy and not delicate and fragile like I was being fooled to believe.. going on 2 months without a problem! We go here every year after our annual eye exam to get glasses. Staff is very friendly and fast. They always acknowledge you as you enter the store. Our glasses are ready in a little over an hour! We just shop in the mall a bit until they text us our glasses are ready. Very convenient, never overly crowded, I would recommend them to anyone. read more

05/20/17 Awful Experience!! FYI, the store no longer has a lab inside. What does this mean? Expect to get your glasses in 1, 2 or like me 3 weeks later. Duration depends on what lab they're sent to.... Had I known in advance, I would have went elsewhere!! When I picked up my glasses, I noticed a different case for my frames?? I asked where was the box I brought my glasses in? Mike replied the boxes never leave the store, let me go check in the back... No box found!! Okay, first, why did you take them in the box rather than just hand me the box and say it was not needed? Second, my frames and the nice red signature Cartier box they came in were NOT cheap!! (Which I'm sure someone recognized and put the box on eBay....) Of course if corporate LensCrafters had not decided to close ALL of their in store lab facilities, then I would not be writing this scathing review. While waiting in line at lens crafter there was a man in front of me complaining about his wife frames that she only had less then 3 months and he wanted them either replace or fixed the glasses cost 700 well the rude short lady told him that since he did not purchase the warranty and he had the glasses for a while now am thinking 3 months is not long enough for some 700 dollars glasses to not be under warranty and when you are buying the glasses no i mean no ones tells you that you only have 30 days after you get them to bring them back if something happens to them. So, now its my turn i ask if she could go get the display frames like mine so that i can see if the frames have the same lines carved on both side on the top the lady so she goes and get them sure enough those do not have that on them i tell her i want new frames she ask me if i have warranty i told hervwhat do that have to do with the frames i pick them up last month and have not even worn them because the man could not adjust them right to my face and he was getting on my nerves. She looks and say oh you have warranty i said and am not paying the deductible for something i didn't do you all did that. I visited the store at 10 til 9p because I revived my message that my eyeglasses were ready for pick up. Well I wasn't happy with the original firm so this pair that I paid extra for would be the one I would keep. The new pair was a huge lens which I did not want. The manager Merida or Medina was upset because I didn't want the second pair and then she argued with me that i came on before closing. And it was now 9:05 and wouldn't refund my money until tomorrow n she called her GM manager and he agreed I come back to the store on Sunday for a refund. I said no and it wasn't my fault I didn't like the new frame and the original one was smaller as shoe by the sales associate. So the unprofessional young girl told me I would have to wait and I couldn't speak to her GM when she had just called him on her personal phone. I have to make a second.trip to get my money back and to talk to her store manager. Wait she is one of the store mangers. This place is terrible. Well I went to the store on Sunday to get my refund done the young lady was so rude the night before and she said I came on before closing and I would not get my refund until Sunday which was the next day. I waited 1.5 hours for a refund because they had to call IT for a glitche and my purchase had to be re rung meanwhile plenty of customers waiting to do business with three employees in the store and one of which was busy with my transaction. read more

I paid a fortune for my glasses, in less then a year I got blemishes inside my lens. I went back to find out what it was and the girl told me it was a defect inside my lens caused by wiping my glasses with a shirt. But I could replace the lens for $424.80. First of all I have wore glasses my whole life and I'm 50 now, I have never had this problem with any glasses I have ever owned. Secondly I wouldn't pay them to replace it I think there product is crap. Don't come here, all they care about is charging a fortune for glasses and not even backing the product. DO not go here they use your insurance to authorize contacts that you don't even wear. Tell you that you can't get glasses because you have got these said contacts a year ago. On this said date, You call insurance they see no date given but a different date. The same date you had eye exam for glasses and said NO for contacts. So in between leaving to call the date was changed. Return to store to see why and they won't even entertain calling insurance company. Everyone check your insurance make sure your not funding someone else. I shall never use this company for an eye exam or glasses ever again read more

Why would I continue buying my glasses from this store if they no longer can get me glasses in a reasonable amount of time? If you want a high-quality pair of glasses for a fair price, in my opinion LensCrafters in Corpus Christi isn't the place to find them. As a new Corpus Christi resident, and after visiting numerous opticians in the area, I was disappointed to find there are no shops offering higher-end frames - Tag Heuer, for example. LensCrafters didn't carry the brands I wanted, but they had the best selection short of traveling a couple hours to San Antonio, so I went with them. The staff was friendly, and the fitting and ordering process was efficient. The end result, unfortunately, was a pair of glasses that was unusable. The progressive lenses were severely out of alignment: the section of lens used for reading was not aligned with my eyes or with each other. The reading section was up and to the left on the right eye, and down to the left on the other. Reading with one eye meant the other saw only blurry print. When I returned the glasses, the clerk insisted I needed to get used to progressives. When I explained I'd worn progressives for years, she continued to insist the lenses were properly ground, and the problem was on my end - again insisting I get used to them. Ultimately, after I insisted they double-check the lenses, they found they'd measured my eyes incorrectly and agreed to re-make the lenses. When the new lenses arrived, they were improved - but still didn't seem right. Still, because they were better than the first set and, in fairness, the prescription was new, I wore them for a couple weeks to see if the problem was on my end. After a couple weeks with no improvement in the experience, and rather than deal again with the folks at LensCrafters, I brought the glasses to my optometrist and asked that he read them, explaining things didn't look quite right. He did, he confirmed what I suspected. The "vertical prism" was wrong; the various distance sections were not aligned between the two lenses. The lenses would need to be remade. In other words, same problem as the first set. LensCrafters screwed up again. I opted to risk buying a replacement pair online from FramesDirect. I found the same frames I'd bought at LensCrafters were considerably less expensive and, better still, they carried the higher-end frames I wanted in the first place. For the same price I paid for a good frame and poorly-ground lenses I got a very high-quality frame with lenses with all the bells and whistles - and they were made right the very first time. To their credit, LensCrafters refunded my money without problem (a surprise - I'd think they'd want to try to keep a $650 sale and ask for another shot to make things right.) How many others, particularly those new to progressive lenses (or new to glasses in the first place, or children) fall for their insistence to "just get used to them" and live with lenses that are close, but not right? If you want a high-quality pair of glasses for a fair price, don't risk going with LensCrafters in Corpus Christi. Give FramesDirect a shot instead. read more
