I really wanted to love this place, but my first experience here today was not good. They have a really great selection of frames, definitely ones that fit my budget, and they can get what I thought would be a decent pair of glasses done in about two hours. I went in and picked out my frames and gave them my prescription from my previous eye doctor and was told my glasses would be ready in about two hours. I came back this afternoon and upon trying them on, found that I couldn't see a thing, either close up or distance... So Mr. pro took a look at my prescription, and compared it to what the lady wrote up earlier this afternoon and found that instead of putting down a plus for each of my lenses she put down a negative strength... No wonder I couldn't see a thing. And yes, everybody makes mistakes, but she didn't doublecheck what she wrote down in comparison to the copy of my prescription that she had with my order, and the individuals back in their lab that created my glasses did not verify the documents as well, putting me in the situation where I have to get my disabled husband out of the house into the car and back to the store to pick them up tomorrow. Big inconvenience over something that really should've been verified by them before doing the work. Also, they offer no military discount, and did not offer me a discount for my trouble. read more

Went by 2 years later and the people here still have horrible attitude. Went in for a eye glass repair. The snare look and tone of these people is not ok. These employees must be trained by the owners wife she is beyond ugly and snippy. One employee was talking down to a gentleman in a loud audible voice about his situation with a demeaning tone. The owners wife was standing near by, never stepped in. Older gentleman did not deserve this. I was embarrassed for him. She was discussing his insurance and what he didn't have available for all to hear. Beyond unprofessional. Perhaps this falls under the Hippa law violation. She was almost scolding the gentleman like he was a child. What is wrong with these people? Never giving them business again. Pure Rude n nasty. If I could rate zero stars I would. They all need a serious course on customer service training. If you are not there to serve customers with courtesy n respect just shut your doors!! read more

I have been taking my grandson for glasses here for the past 5 years. His mom set him up at this place. Only once I would say, they were courteous. The owners wife is rude and has a pompous attitude. She sizes people up with her attitude. The majority of the staff with the exception of a couple are rude and burnt out I suppose. These people cater to kids, adults on government programs so it's about volume in and out, next. They have built the business because of the Corpus people, treat customers with respect n courtesy. I spent high money on designer sun glasses here too. Won't do that again, not here. I've shown up to pick up glasses close to closing time as well, OMG so rude cuz they want to leave so bad. I was in need of a new pair of glasses since my glasses broke a month ago. I have been getting my glasses from Pro Optical for years now. I always loved the atmosphere & vibes of everyone. The workers we're always super friendly and sweet & very helpful. However, today my experience was horrible. As soon as I walked in the workers were being very rude and disrespectful to my mother and I. They snapped at us with an attitude and attacking us very snarky. We had always loved the vibes of this place but today it was completely different. The manager even apologized for their very disrespectful behavior. She mentioned they were newly hired. I am very impressed with the woodland camo hunting edition Oakley sunglasses I bought. My husband uses these to hunt and he swears that they are nothing less than amazing. I took my frames to Pro Optical for realignment and they twisted them sideways after asking me if I bought them there. They were very discrete about their malign intentions; telling me that they couldn't do it at the front and playing it off afterwards. They could've just left them how they were but instead decided to give me a little bit of that holiday spirit. read more

I've tried the big named optical in the mall and all you will get is time and money wasted. Pro optical has a great and large selection. I was a little hesitant to come to a new optical place seeing as how hard it is to find a good deal with my insurance. But last week just proved my suspicions. When I first walked in, I wasn't even greeted by anyone nor did the staff even acknowledge my existence. It didn't help that one staff member, Frank I think his name was, reeked of marijuana and was just absolutely rude at catering to my needs. I will never do business with this place again. Took my daughter for glasses, took time off from work to have the glasses fitted on the day we were told they would be ready, waited 2 hours until I finally tried to find who was in charge, glasses finally arrived after 3 hours and the workmanship was poor. Two days later we discovered a crack on one of the lenses. I do NOT recommend this place to anyone. The service was terrible. The salesperson was running around from customer to customer, they did not take the time to answer questions. We felt rushed the whole time we were there. The service was horrible.
