The eye clinic is supposed to be open at 10. It's not open and I have an appointment at 10AM. Unacceptable given the doctor can charge a $25 for a missed appointment. When I am able to start charging for my time. In addition be aware the doctors are very loyal to the attached LensCrafters. I asked for a pupil distance measurement at the front desk. The receptionist stated "We don't do that. What are trying to order from another place"? None of their business but yes, I am buying from somewhere else. I won't be going back to the doctor or LensCrafters. Shame the short sightedness. Brick and mortar services are going out of business due to the lack of nimbleness and professionalism. The sales staff was very helpful but it's been 3 weeks and I have yet to receive my prescription sun glasses. At first they said that it would take 7-10 days to receive the glasses. I called when they didn't contact me after 10 days, and was told that it would take a few days more and that it usually takes two weeks. Now it's been 3 weeks and I have yet to receive the glasses. The sales staff does not seem to know when they will come in. I will never use LensCrafters again or recommend them to anyone. read more

The Optomitrist, Dr. Daniel Isaac, is excellent. He is both skilled and knowledgeable. It's been a long time since I was fitted for a pair of glasses that corrected my vision so well. Second call left a message they called me back and left me a message that they were ordering lenses. Third call, again had to leave a message checking on status of lenses (it's been over a week). Two employees on duty on the sales floor. One was with a customer, the other doing stuff at the computer/cash register? I walked around that place, on both sides of the store, and after 15 minutes being in the store, Employee number one asked if they could help me,I responded with "Yes, I'm looking for glasses." I didn't pick up on it, but that employee didn't think it was funny. I found two pair I liked, took them to the counter to see what price they would be. Cross employee number one asked me to sit and they would be with me in a moment. I responded with: "I hope it will be a quick minute." Employee number two had had the decency to greet me while with the customer and let me know which were men and unisex. Employee number one who was doing stuff on the computer was too busy to make a sale. Meanwhile, after the customer had left the store, Employee number two still didn't come over to help. My back was to them, but I had my insurance card out, a couple of glasses on the vanity, and after four minutes of waiting, I decided to leave. "I'll be back when it's not so busy." Yep, I was the only person in the store, but they couldn't be bothered to make a sale. What's wrong with these people? They don't think customers' time is valuable? They think customers are never ending? Never going back as there are so many eyewear places. read more

I paid to have my prescription installed in a new pair of semi rimless Ray-Ban glasses that I supplied. Because they did not have the lens shape in their computers, it had to be sent out for a week to be created. Which I was happy to oblige to make sure they were created correctly. After the first time within days they started to split internally on the lens groove. I was told that it may have happened because they didn't have the pattern and they had to trace the glass they were supplied with, and that "maybe they had been cut wrong the last time" however these were brand new with original packaging from Rayban and had the original glass lens from the manufacturer. Within days the second lens fractured, where I returned an I was told "they didn't know why it was happening" and tried a different glass material. Each time I interacted with the "manager" of the store location I was met with more and more sentiment that this was "something I did" They fractured again, and I was told "maybe they are making them too large, and attempted to cut the lens smaller. When I brought them to the store yesterday, I was told that I was out of my 90 warranty and that they "didn't know why it was happening" but wouldn't be remaking the lenses or refunding my money. I explained that each time they were made I returned within a few days, I was told the warranty doesn't reset and that there was nothing they could do because it had been 90 days since the original purchase. From a company whos sole job is to "Craft Lenses" I am left with damaged glasses and out the money I paid to have them made, because the company failed three times to create a product I paid for, and "nobody knows why" and "there is nothing you can do". It again should be mentioned, that the manager at this location, is not at all personable, slightly disgruntled and seems as if she doesn't like to be hassled dealing with customers legitimate issues. read more

Arrive, on lunch hour, which like any other hour is 60 minutes long, because Horizon is closed on weekends so you were turned away on Sunday. Even though your insurance has not changed and they could have called Horizon prior to your months-in-advance scheduled appointment. Sign in. Go into room #1, with purse and coat in tow. Put purse on floor, coat on lap. Read letters, identify numbers. Follow assistant into lens room, leaving purse and coat in room #1. Remove contacts. Cautiously follow assistant back to room #1. Tell assistant you can't see the E at all, don't bother, stare at barn image, face off against air puffer. Follow assistant into room #2 for eye mapping, which will cost additional $35, with purse and coat in tow. Put purse on floor, coat on lap. Smush eye against machine, endure momentary blindness due to bright green light. Repeat with other eye. Follow assistant out of room #2 as she tells you to have a seat or go look at frames. BITCH, I CANNOT SEEEEEEEEEEE. Sit & wait, with savior smart phone an inch away from face. Until the battery begins to die. Turn off mobile network. Sit in frustrated bluriness. About an hour after your appointment time has eventually gone by, follow assistant into exam room, with purse and coat. Put purse on floor, coat on lap. Wait for doctor. Go through all of 15 minutes with doctor, follow doctor into lens room. Likely, the necessary lenses are not there. Replace used contacts--ah, the clarity!--and return to exam room for purse and coat. Was this whole process necessarily so long? No, but pay $100 for the contact fitting because Horizon doesn't cover that either! Oh, and go pay a specialist to look at the freckle in your eye that you've had over a decade. I received a basic eye examination today, my vision has not changed from the prescription that is already in the glasses that I already have. During review of my information, Dr. Schuler stated that due to my high blood pressure, an Optimap exam is recommended. This procedure is not covered under the eye medical plan, and is an additional $39. I advised Dr. Schuler that my primary doctor and I have already begun steps to reduce my blood pressure, thanked her for her concern and declined the treatment. Dr. Schuler continued to describe the procedure as 'medically important' as it would be considered a 'base-line' for further results. She additionally asked me for my primary health insurance information and wanted to see if the procedure would be covered under that insurance. At that point, another person (unfortunately I did not get her name) came in and said that it might be covered, but I haven't reached my deductible and would cost roughly $85. Again, I declined. When Dr. Schuler returned, she persisted on preforming this test. I asked if this test would have any bearing on the treatment and/or diagnosis of my high blood pressure. Her reply was no. This would be a picture of my eye at a certain period of time to document an existing condition already being addressed. She started to explain that an MRI does not see a stroke but, and then in mid-sentence, she literally said that she was not going to waste any more time discussing it. She opened the door, said that my prescription was upfront and nothing more. I walked upfront, turned around and she was gone. I do not find this acceptable behavior by any means. This indeed gives your medical practice the appearance of 'milking the clients'. The behavior was unprofessional and upsetting. As for the LensCrafters experience, I cannot say that it is any better than the Doctor's experience. I have emailed 2 request to LensCrafters requesting information specifically related to Oakley sunglasses. While shopping at the LensCrafters store in the Cherry Hill Mall, NJ, I inquired about the Oakley sunglasses and was told that the Oakley & Maui Jim sunglasses are specifically excluded from all sales and insurance coverages with LensCrafters. These glasses are sold at full retail; allow 2 weeks for delivery and the cost range from $500 to $700 a set. 1/3 of the men's available frames are excluded from all sales and insurance coverages is excessive at best. Your business model is in need of a very serious review. Doctor's that continue to push test after a patient states 'no', not resolving emails that have been received in a timely matter, not to mention, at all and the exclusion of one third of available inventory is horrendous. I am completely unsatisfied with the treatment, selection and policies of LensCrafters. read more

I asked to go to the bathroom and one of the sales people stood in the breakroom while I went and rushed back to the sales floor as soon as I came out. Then when I asked a question about a pair of glasses I sent to get repaired and they gave me condescending answers. Very unprofessional. read more

This place is terrible. I stopped in for a second to look at glasses and there were two people working there. The first was just a little out there, the kind of person who messes things up through sheer ineptitude. But the second was a mean and cruel bully. The sort of person who likes to get on power trip being mean to a vulnerable person. I hope never that any of my money or business would go to such a person. read more

Such a disappointment! My wife spent hundreds of dollars on a pair of designer glasses, and top of the line lenses to fill them, but apparently this location is unable to craft lenses in house. They assured her that they would process her order and that the lenses would get back to her very quickly. We waited for over a month, calling the store several times to check on the order, and were told that the glasses were being made and that they should arrive at the store shortly. And today, after nearly a month, we received a call from the opticians, telling us that they had forgot to even mail the frames to the lab, and asked if we wanted them sent now... Such incompetence. My wife has been blind for almost a month, and the staff's oversight is solely to blame. I will never trust her or my vision to these people again. read more

I've been purchasing glasses here for years. My most recent pair had all kinds of issues with the lenses only THREE months after paying a lot of money for them. I went in, and the associate told me...wait for it...I was wearing my glasses too close to my face. Seriously. He told me that it was a shame I hadn't purchased the insurance, but there was nothing he could do unless I paid even more money. I was...not happy. I then asked for my measurements, so I could get a cheaper replacement pair online (I didn't say that, of course) and he told me that they used a proprietary measurement, and he wouldn't give them to me. In case you don't know, your pupillary distance is not proprietary. It's just a plain old measurement - in other words, he lied. It's a shame. I was fine paying more for convenience, but I'll take my business elsewhere. I suggest you do the same (and insist on your measurements). read more

I came in for a routine eye exam and had to wait nearly an hour to see a doctor despite being on time. When I came back to pick up my trial contacts it again took an unnecessarily long time. Then I had to go back to check that my contacts were okay (they require it) and had to wait thirty minutes to see the doctor. They are nice and the place is clean, but the waiting is ridiculous. Don't go here unless you are extraordinarily patient. read more

I have mixed reviews about this location. Went here last year for eyeglass repair and got execellent service. This year tried to schedule contact lens fitting for my husband and got a really nasty rude receptionist scheduling our appt. She got on my nerves so much that I took my business elsewhere. My experience with eye exams at this location have all been standard, no complaints. Picking out / purchasing glasses, however, is a different story. The service is slow and they don't even pretend to care about you. There only ever seem to be two people working, only one of which is capable of helping you, and he's always too busy with another customer to even acknowledge your presence. Eventually, he did come over to explain the various options/brands and then left me alone to pick some out. Once I had narrowed it down to one pair of glasses (and waited for him to be available again) he told me that they wouldn't work well with my prescription. Information that would have been helpful BEFORE wasting 20 minutes making my decision. Eye exams and purchasing contacts are fine, but I wouldn't come back here for new glasses. read more

Great experience. I lost my glasses and needed to get a new pair quickly. Dr Isaac was booked solid but they were able to get me in. Exam was very thorough and e was lovely. The staff in the retail store were fabulous - very helpful, saved me some money and got me taken care of well and quickly. I'll be back. The staff in Cherry Hill are rude and simply ignorant. They lack all care and compassion that should be exhibited in health care professionals. My brand new $300 lenses (yes, just the lenses) have some sort of logo etched in them and while they are aware they are defective, I was sent home with them anyway. In addition, the sales people leave a lot to be desired when it comes to assisting you in selecting an appropriate frame but very eager to sell you an upgrade. This place is the absolute worst in my book. I think I'll stick with the local places where they actually care about your satisfaction. read more

I've been a loyal customer for 10 years. After purchasing at least 6 pairs of regular glasses and 1 pair of sunglasses over a 10 year period, my last pair of frames were defective. A shiny coating on the frame began to peel after only 5 months. I politely showed them to the staff but was immediately told it was "normal wear and tear." They then immediately pointed out that I would have been provided with new glasses if I had purchased the protection package. It is not my opinion that this problem was normal wear and tear, and I think a good product should hold up to normal use for at least one year. I then showed them to a manager who told me it was my hair product that caused the damage and that it was normal "dulling." To illustrate it was not dulling, but in fact peeling, I ran my nail against the rim. The manager then accused me of intentionally damaging the frames. When I became frustrated, she began to act as if she felt threatened by me. We were separated by a counter. We were not even close to one another. And in no way did I act inappropriate. I will never go back there. They do not value their customers and they do not act fairly with customer problems. The simple fact that a rip-off protection plan exists does not give them the right to refuse to acknowledge a defective item. On top of that, to imply that I was aggressive in any way is out of this world insulting. Stay away from this location. The awful manager's name is Caroline Lewis. She had red-ish hair and glasses.
