Unfortunately, the visit quickly turned uncomfortable. I noticed I was being followed very closely around the store and was repeatedly asked if that was "all" before I'd even had a chance to properly look at anything. What stood out even more was that this treatment seemed to be directed only at me and not at other customers of different races. Because of this, I decided to put everything back and leave. No one should feel singled out or unwelcome while simply shopping. I can't recommend a place that made me feel this way, and I won't support a business where I experienced what felt like discriminatory treatment.

I was in the market for a new optometrist after moving here a couple years ago, so took my friends up on their review and decided to book an appointment. Dr. Permack was extremely kind, patient, and attentive. He took the time to run a number of tests on my eyes and make sure I was completely satisfied with the final prescription he prescribed. I also really appreciated that Dr. Permack paid attention to my family's ocular history and ensured that he ran a cornea mapping exam with some fancy new equipment he had! What most impressed me with Dr. Permack was that he was able to teach me how to put in contact lens and found me a type that I really liked. I've been resisting contacts for years now, and was so surprised when he was able to give me a pair of contacts that I could barely feel and actually could see through! All in all, I would recommend Dr. Permack without hesitation. If you're looking for a talented, conscientious optometrist, make sure to give him a call. Bonus points: Dr. Permack has these hilarious test 'glasses' that you can put on that let you test the prescription he recommends. Ask him to try them on and you'll see what I'm talking about.

Worse experience ever! I usually order my contacts online and I figured that I may need to be…read morerefitted or try a new brand as my prescription had recently changed significantly. The sales person (who also appeared to be the owner and/or manager) couldn't communicate effectively and wasn't listening to anything I said. She just kept saying oh yes, yes, yes, but I could tell that she was on automatic. I asked to be fitted and she just ignored me and tried to convince me to buy a year's worth of lenses. In the end she orders contacts that are the same as my old brand, but fails to mention that they don't make lenses that match my high astigmatism. I discovered this myself after wearing the sample pair for a week and suffering with headaches. I went to clearlycontacts.ca and realized they don't make lenses for prescriptions that high but other brands do exist, albeit with different measurements so all I needed was to be fitted and get a few sample pairs to find out what works best. Considering the communication fiasco the last time I was there, I doubt I'll get my money back or a new set of contacts ordered free of charge. Avoid this place if you're looking for advice and experienced staff.
