My appointment was scheduled for 2:45 , I got there at 2:30pm the office was busy. Each time they came out with a folder , I was hoping they would call my name but they didn't. After about an hour I was finally called into the exam room. I had an X-Ray done onsite., 10 mins later Dr. Gerber came into the exam room. Dr. Gerber has good bed side manner. He looked over my MRI reports that I brought to the office as well as the X-Rays. He was attentive and offered several treatment options, I didn't feel pressure to my decision. referred me to a great physical therapy place. Although my visit with Dr. Gerber went well , I would probably see him again at a different location.

The minimum wait in the infusion waiting area is 2-3 hours and the supervisor just does not care. I walk in the back during my wait and see half the treatment rooms empty. I know it is not the nurses fault but it is truly the manager who does not know how to handle the work flow. We have been getting treatments there over a year and a half and the excuses are weekely. Every other program moves us through the treatment day 100X more efficiently. The MSK reputation is truly not worth the added stress of treatment. I would strongly recommend against using them for anything unless they obtain pre-approval from your insurer. They are terrible and just flat out refused to answer my questions or to send information showing medical necessity to my insurer. I would recommend that you use another provider or that any procedure you get from them be pre-approved for coverage so you don't end up in the same boat.
