This was the third time I showed up and the item I was looking for was not there the day of the sale. I feel that this was a shady practice. I was even told the item was there the morning of the sale and was first in line to find it. It wasn't there and they said the had a phone sale literally right before the door opened. This is dishonest and not right. I'm sadden because I like these people but not now since they been using this douche bait and switch tactics. Beware of estate sale companies!!!! My father recently passed away leaving behind a 3500 square foot house full of furniture, clothes, artwork, fine China, etc etc etc! House was full of anything and everything you can possibly think of! Needless to say I was extremely overwhelmed and I knew I needed help, so I reached out to this company. They did respond quickly and I had a consult In my late fathehouse with one of the business owners within 24 hours. Off to a good start or so I thought anyway. She did a thorough walk Thru and gave me lots of information about items Thru out the house. I had already packed up stuff to donate and she said oh no donations happen after your sale, you are not permitted to sell, donate or gift anything in your house once the consult is complete and the contract is signed. So anything that she saw that day I couldn't keep for myself or gift to anyone. I didn't understand why she didn't want me to get rid of junk but I figured it out as the meeting progressed and after I read the contract. They charge an arm and leg for in fees to stage your house . They also take a very large commission! After your sale is complete anything that still remains is on you to get rid of. They will charge you again a huge fee if you want them to get rid of it for you. Had we used this company we would have been upside down that I know for sure. I ended up selling everything myself which was very , very hard and very time consuming. It's hard to watch people low ball your parents most prized possessions. I contacted a couple other estate companies and none had as high of fees but they all were similar with the commissions they take. Standard is 30-50% I did consider doing an online auction, they guarantee that they will get rid of all the stuff in your house and the reason they can make that guarantee is because the starting bid on every single item in the home is $1! Anything that doesn't get any bids they give for free on the day ppl pick up the items they won at the auction. I would have maybe gone that route if I had to do it all over again but that process takes a few weeks and I didn't have a few weeks time. In the end I did donate a lot of stuff. I threw away a lot of stuff I also gifted or gave away a lot of stuff. In the end I would have not been able to pay off the estate people. I would have been upside down and would have had to come out of pocket. I didn't make much money selling the stuff myself but I also didn't have to pay anyone to haul the stuff away. I did paid day laborers for a total of 15-20 hours to help clear out a storage closet and a garage that cost me around a few hundred dollars but nothing compared to what I would have had to pay and estate company. If you have friends who can do the sale for you or if you are strong enough to do it yourself do it! With social media it's easy to promote an estate sale. I will be having a garage sale very soon to try and sell the stuff I still have as I ran out of time and I'm OK with that! read more

I may of made alot of money in your eyes however it was by NO means what I should of made with what was missing. I didn't hire you for hoarding. I hired you for an estate sale. I attended an Estate Sale this past Friday Nov 27th. It was the morning of the first day of the sale and people were shopping in the jewelry room when a woman came in and announced that we must stop shopping - we could buy what we had in our hands but that someone had just purchased ALL the jewelry. WHAT?? Ru kidding me? The morning of the first day of the sale you are going to tell me that someone paid the full price for all the jewelry in the room - including gold and silver?? What a disservice to the customers not to mention the people who u were holding the estate sale for. I hope when they get the check from the proceeds of this sale if they have questions they contact me cause I'll fill them in. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!!! My wife and I purchased, what we were told was an original work of art from an estate sale. Upon getting it home and contacting the artist, we were disappointed to find out that it was nothing more than a well framed poster. I contacted Holly and sent her the information obtained from the artist. Without further discussion she offered to fully refund my money, apologized for the misrepresentation and was generally open to figuring out what happened. My wife likes the picture and wanted to keep it. Holly agreed to a partial refund, ensuring I paid only what the true value was. STOP, STOP, STOP! This was the worst experience of our life. We were looking for an Estate liquidation company as we were downsizing from 5400 square feet to 2500 square feet. The thought of Craigslist or Selling off things ourselves was daunting. We contacted a quality and well recognised Estate sale company to do our sale, they came out took a look and were impressed, however the dates we needed were not available and we needed to be out of the house. They referred us to Holly from "Lenore and Glads", and were honest that they did not know much about them but knew we needed to get things cleared out. We had "Lenore and Glads", out and they seemed fairly legit however they had no system in place to document and track the sales, percentages or what they actually sold an item for. When I asked her about that she said there were so many people at her sales that they could never write all that down. I should have went with my gut and walked away but we proceeded with the sale anyway because we needed to clear out. The other company had estimated the sale to bring in $20,000 to $26,000 in Gross revenue. We had Guns, High End Furniture, Thousands of dollars of Cocktail shaker collectables, and much much more. They take 35% which would net us about $14,950. We would have been satisfied with that and knowing everything was gone. Holly and her team did spend 2 days setting up, and then held a two day sale. The prices they had on the items were the appraised values and should have easily made the goal of $20K. Day 2 was 25 to 50 percent off. Here is where it got weird...When we asked how it went she told us nothing. She said she would have to have her bookkeeper total up everything and she would get back to us in 3 weeks. They left and we had no idea what things sold for, nor what the estimate sales were. There was NO DOCUMENTATION, NO sales receipts, just her word. I called her after 4 weeks and she told me her bookkeeper had just sent out the check. We got the check 4 days later in the amount of $2,741. We about died! Expecting it to be at least $12,000 we felt duped and violated. I called her and her just said "Yes we were disappointed that the sale only did that amount". I asked her for her tally sheets that she gave to her accountant and she said she would send them...... never to this day did we get anything. Because all the real valuable stuff was "GONE" I am convinced, (because she does not allow you to be at the sale) that she actually removes stuff from the sale and resells it to dealers (guns were all gone the first day and should have been at full price). I believe we were actually burglarized by Holly and we allowed her to do it! Please do not be a victim of this company. The only way to stop it is to let people know what happened to us and others. I just wish I would have read the other reviews before contacting. I did call the other company back to let them know what happened and they were shocked and very embarrassed that they referred them. They knew I needed help quickly and felt Holly would be available. Should you decide to pick an Estate sale company to liquidate, do your homework! Be sure they can prove to you exactly what the prices were and what an item sold for and can give you daily tallys on the spot! Those companies are out there and have systems in place. I don't want to mention the name because I don't want people to think I'm advertising for them. I also did not use them so I really can't say anything but do your homework. Other options that are much more transparent are Auction companies. For about the same percentages you can bring your items to an Auction house and liquidate that way. It's a bit more hassle but sometimes the prices soar. Or just donate your stuff and take the write off. Give your stuff away to friends or family that need it. Do anything EXCEPT contact "Lenore and Auntie Glads Estate sales". You will be extremely disappointed. read more

We just sold my dad's house, and moved him into an assisted living. We had a houseful of belongings to sell. I had contacted Holly at Lenore and Auntie Glads Estate sale. Holly agreed to do the sale for a 3 day weekend sale. I had taken a few items from the home, prior to the sale. She set up a week prior to the sale and decided to do a one day sale, unannounced. We had our back against the wall, cause the house was closing the following week. Holly did the sale, which was a total dissapointment. Selling the items way below the tagged price and leaving 1/3 of the household item behind. I continued the "Sale" by directional signs on a church Sunday, and raised 50% of her revenue, with all the leftover, pick over stuff. Holly is quite the sales lady, to get you to sign the contract, but has no sense of business. I would advise anyone to do a sale by themselves and put an ad on ESTATESALES.Com for $ 89.00, and post numerous pics on that site. All the money raised was going to charity, but it put a sour taste in our mouth when we had to pay Holly 40% for a pathetic sale. She also says, she sends emails to her list, which is the ESTATE Sales.com viewership. Lenore and Auntie Glads is front for a ripoff company!! read more

I met Holly and hired her company Lenore and Auntie Glads to do an estate sale for my father, who moved into assisted living a few months ago. I was so impressed, she did everything she promised and more. I didn't have to lift a finger, and received a check to boot. I never realized just how much time, and effort go into putting together an estate sale. Thank You Holly, you and your team went above and beyond! There are so many people out there like myself who just cannot do this on their own, Thank goodness there are people like you to help, I couldn't have done it without you. read more
