This was my first time at Lenny's Shoes and Apparel, and they definitely made a customer out of me! They have a huge selection of shoes and plenty of friendly staff ready to help. The customer service was impeccable. I found the perfect pair of hiking boots quickly and couldn't be happier with my purchase. Highly recommend! The cost was also reasonable. read more

Great place to go to find bargain outdoor gear and apparel! They have a men's, women's and children clothes and shoes. They have a wide selection of name brand clothes such as north face to smaller retailers. The price range is perfect for anyone! read more

Established in 1990.

Lenny McCarthy started Lenny's Shoe & Apparel in Barre, VT in 1990. Now his sons, Mark and Todd, run this family business with four Vermont locations and one New York location. Shop Lenny's in Williston, VT; St. Albans, VT; Barre, VT; and Plattsburgh,NY today!

All I have to say is do not go here they won't be open they are currently closing early because of short staffing or staffing issues not sure why management can't just keep the place open themselves right before Christmas... People are spending money that they really don't have but because it's Christmas and they need things so if y'all can't be open now you might as well just close... I am not sure they realize the inconvenience they are putting on people who are still working.. Don't bother going there they won't be open and you will waste 2 hours of your precious time. I do hope we all know time is very precious. If you're not gonna be open change your website please! Because we have other things and places that we could be thank you 0 stars!

I believe the ferns I purchased there in May were infested with a frond eating caterpillar. After speaking with helpful staff, I learned they had an effective spray. I drove from Burlington, purchased the spray for $21.99 and a small spray bottle. I later learned the same spray, 32 ounces, was available at ACE hardware for $14.99. And the small spray bottle doesn't spray. An unfortunate experience at a business I've frequented for years. I will explore options closer to home.
