Lisa Wilson has been a great therapist for our son. She is skilled and caring. We have seen him begin to mature by using the skills and ideas that he is learning. His prescribers have had a respectful attitude and reasonable addressing of issues. The emergency situations, however, do have to go to the ER. I once had to call back a crisis line because someone had filed a referral on me, an abusive person trying to harass me. It was basically swatting, but with paperwork and "concern", I told them to leave me alone so they used the crisis line to harass me. They get some kind of thrill out of manufacturing emergencies that don't exist. Of course, they've done this before to other people, custody battles, divorce proceedings, family drama, all fueled by intimidation and harassment. So I call back, expecting a calm, professional conversation. Instead, I end up explaining that the "crisis" is actually a harassment campaign, and the representative decides this is a great time to argue the legal definition of harassment. I thought, wow, nothing says "de-escalation" like a dictionary debate. By the time the call ended, I had gone from zero on a "how suicidal am I?" scale to about a three or four, entirely thanks to the person whose job is supposed to calm people down. It's kind of amazing: the very system designed to prevent panic can, with the right mix of bureaucracy and human stubbornness, create it. I hung up thinking, "Well, that was surprisingly effective... at making me mildly more anxious than I already was." If your goal is to encourage suicide, congrats because while I wasn't going into the call, a few more minutes with that person might have pushed me there. read more

After surviving, religious, sexual, physical and mental abuse throughout my entire life, I finally decided to seek help. This was the only facility in 2020 that accepted my insurance and was accepting new patients. The first psychiatrist they assigned me to forced her spiritual beliefs on me, telling me that all my trauma happened for a good reason. After religious abuse, it was the last thing I needed to hear. The doctor was fired, which Lenape neglected to tell me; I only found out after the facility started filling my prescription instead. The next doctor they assigned laughed at and teased me when she found out how much trouble I had getting my medication while the facility filled it for me, like all my trauma was hilarious to her. By the third, nothing she said and nothing the therapist they finally assigned me could get me trust them. I called their crisis hotline and was hung up on multiple times. I went to their crisis center while suicidal and was turned away, told to go to the ER for admission. While at the ER, someone from Lenape came to evaluate me, and instead of admitting me, I was denied help because I wasn't "suicidal enough" for them. I tried reporting them to the DHS, lawyers, the AG, even the press, and no one believed me. I was even told that the local bar association couldn't find one lawyer who could represent me and not cause a conflict of interest w/them. Suspicious, right? The COO himself responded to the AG, calling me a liar, and I'm sure they'll deny it forever. But in the meantime, may everyone who hurt me at that place have the lives they deserve. Had a meeting with my special needs grandson and the nurse practitioner to discuss his medications. My grandson tells her that my son and myself had an argument over money. This is true but it was on the phone and lasted less than a minute and I told my son he was 10 bucking me to death. No big deal. She then asks if I am being financially abused by my son and I said no, he just bought a new car and is car poor and he keeps asking me for 10 bucks for gas until he gets paid in 3 days. She turns around and the next morning I have the agency for the aging at my door and then a few hours later Children and Youth at my door. I have never been so shocked in all my life. I had my grandsons medical records transferred to another facility and will never recommend Lenape Valley Foundation to anyone. read more

I have been working with providers for about 25 years of my autistic son's 27 year existence. I have never had an issue with any proviiders with my behavior. In May of 2025 we moved and Lenape Valley accepted a transfer of my son's case. After 5-6 calls where Lenape incorrectly told me they didn't accept his insurance I was able to find someone who understood his case was covered by his waiver. After going 2 months without services I asked a Lenape employee to reach out to the county and obtain any necessary outstanding paperwork so we could initiate services. She informed me that she was at the mercy of an employee from a competing company in order to move forward. I explained that wasn't acceptable and agaib asked her to reach out to the county. She stated that's not how they normally do business. i explained I was disappointed but never used profanity nor raised my voice. This employee ended the call by hanging up and then informed her supervisor she felt demeaned. The supervisor wrote to the county, without directly reaching out to me, and declined to accept his case based on my behavior. I reached out to Chief Operating Officer. Without validating any prior issues he informed they wouldn't take the case because their employee was offended. No though that they provide care to those in need. No apologies for the nimerous interactions where incorrect information was provided and services were compromised. Find someone that is patient focused. read more

The people that are employed to answer the phone, don't care about anything that you try to relay to them. The messages supposedly never get to the intended person. I had one of these assistants literally tell me that she would "bug" the person the message was supposed to be for. How about you just walk in and talk to him face-to-face? I know that is asking a lot these days since everyone is glued to some form of technology or device and that is their preferred way of communicating. But i was asking for them to take care of an issues with my prescription. Apparently someone with ADHD isn't important enough, they don't need their meds, they've now ignored me for 2 days. I'm sure if i was in need of cholesterol medications or diabetes med the doc would have gotten back to me. This is a shitty way to treat your patients. Especially long time ones. read more

My doctor there is great- he is not the problem at all...I adore him and have the utmost respect for him... but the policy they have in place now for scheduling your next appointment is absolutely ridiculous....I am CONSTANTLY forced to go weeks to a month, one time it was 2 months, without my, medication. This isn't a once in a while thing - it is every single time you try to make your next appt. That is just unacceptable. I can say with certainty that every single time I try to make my next appointment, bc of their new ridiculous scheduling policy, I have to go at least a week, usually 2 to 3 weeks, without medication. I have severe ADHD and have great difficulty functioning at my job without my medication. My boss and coworkers can tell immediately when I am not medicated. I also have a second job doing taxes....try doing that with ADHD and no medication. It's so unfair and inconsiderate. Before they changed their scheduling policy, you would schedule your next appt. (3 months out) at the end of your current appt. In other words, you would see your doctor, he sends over 3 prescriptions to your pharmacy (each one containing a month worth of meds), at the end of the appointment, you would then schedule your next appt, 3 months away. This was the case for years. And it worked great. Suddenly they changed their policy - you can no longer do that. You have to now wait until a week before your last script runs out to call for an appointment. Except the doctors are booked out for at least a month - soooo you have a WEEK LEFT OF MEDICATION but cannot see your doctor FOR A MONTH. It's LUDICROUS?! HOW CAN YOU BAR ME FROM MAKING AN APPT UNTIL I AM A WEEK AWAY FROM RUNNING OUT OF MEDICATION, WHEN YOUR DOCTORS DO NOT HAVE ANY AVAILABLE APPTS FOR OVER A MONTH?! This went on for a year almost. Every 3 months I would have to go without my medication for 2 to 3 weeks or more. I complained, cried, got angry every single time. Was offered ZERO help other than yeeea sorry. I got such an attitude from the person on the phone. They did not care at all. They did not seem to think it was a problem at all to go without psych medication for upwards of a MONTH. Eventually I was told I could call 2 WEEKS before I run out of my medication. THEIR DOCTORS ARE BOOKED FOR UPWARDS OF A MONTH OR MORE SO HOW DOES THIS RECTIFY ANYTHING? Thank you so much, so now I only have to go 2 WEEKS without my meds instead of 3 WEEKS?! Are you kidding me?! I took it upon myself to begin calling a month before I ran out. Sometimes they let me , sometimes Im told I had to call back in 2 wks. Once, after I was told this, I called back 2 wks later....no available appts for 2 MONTHS BC MY DOCTOR IS ON VACATION. You cannot make this stuff up. Sometimes I would get "oh, your medication doesnt run out for a month" "yes I am aware of that. But your doctors arent available for a month. See what I did there? It's very simple math really. I am tired of having to wait weeks to a month or two to be able to get an appt when I only have a week of medication left. How can you guys POSSIBLY still pretend like this isnt a HUGE problem?!" Unprofessional. Disrespectful. Uncaring. How can you treat your psych patients this way? I always do what I am supposed to do, I never cause any problems....but I've HAD it with the blatant disrespect and the fact that you are offered zero solutions to the problem that THEY CREATED. This is infuriating. Every time I call to make my appointment it is a nightmare. And nobody cares. At all. I could not in good conscience recommend any psych patients in need of psych meds go here for treatment, unless you don't really need your medication, like, THAT bad, and or you can go weeks without it. How many doctors would EVER tell their psych patient to just not take their medication for a month every few month?! Meh, skip 2 wks here and there, noooo biggie ?!?! It seems...kind of reckless to continually put your patients in this kind of predicament and offer no support or solution other than a refill clinic which you only FINALLY just opened , but which only CERTAIN patients are able to utilize (I'm not one of them). read more

We brought our 15 year old into the crises center at Doylestown Hospital 2 weeks ago after he had gone missing for 11 hours. They took him back for an evaluation after they interviewed us his parents and we discussed his behavior and his vaping THC use. They came back with the recommendation of family counseling and allowing him to get a medical Marijuana card to help him with his ADHD symptoms and his anxiety. My child is 15. Take your child to Grand Views Crises Center if you want actual help. We got the help we needed when our child ran away away again 2 days ago. read more

I came here for years and I think that this was an okay/mediocre experience. I tried numerous therapists here and it seemed that quite a few of them weren't competent or very intelligent, others would flake out with lots of appointment cancellations which was upsetting. The doctors were okay, Dr. Greenfield was nice but I only ever got 10-15 minutes of his time. He was very rigid in never changing the medications and always insisting that therapy was the solution to everything, he was very reluctant to ever change the meds. There were other doctors like Dr. Kim who were a dictator with the meds. I also went to the partial hospitalization program and thought it was pretty good, although there was a lot of animosity between myself and another member because the groups were not well moderated. I've since moved to Philadelphia and have found better care in the city... read more

This place is a joke and have done nothing but fail me at every opportunity. Their video calls drop, phone calls drop and can't finish evaluations. I had a psych eval video call that dropped and they couldn't reschedule until a month and a half later. They don't care if I go without my needed meds. Then they dont fax over scripts like they were supposed to. Incompetence at its finest and I would NEVER recommend to my worst enemy it's so horrible. read more

I leave a negative/realistic review elsewhere and somehow they're able to have my low stars not count. TOUGH. Now.... over a year later.... clearly not a client of yours... You send me email about housing and trying to be a case manager. Which by the way, I still volunteer where you're suggesting. Which I asked not to happen. Good listening skills there. Look. People. DO NOT go here. Free/Cheap does NOT mean better. You're seriously better just finding outside support groups... a school counselor... a priest... An organization that has quality services and doesn't try to spread itself thin with the "Big Box" Approach. Counseling apps. Don't think this is your only option, if you have no health issurance and rely on county funding. Their best employees were interns or were eventually fired. They keep the incompetent folks. And, that has apparently NOT changed. And, no. You can throw my money back at me. You aren't getting a better rating because I get a check in the mail. read more

I would recommend not going here. There has to be better counseling for anyone on the ADHD disorders. I mean the counselor didn't even give a hoot if I showed up or not, she does the same by the way she's about close to an hour after the appointment is scheduled and I am on-time. I won't forget being there for one appointment and they were ganging up on my mother for doing what is right by me because of my dietary restrictions and allergy to certain processed foods. I have a synthetic allergy, to GMOs a additive. I mean who needs these services anyway? It's a complete waste of time, if you show up there and someone leaves you waiting for more then five minutes. This review is based on base services rendered for a handicapped person. We had been treating for years using Penndel Mental Health but the morals of the organization came into question & we transfered the services to Lenape. In the 5 years we have used them we have found you need to be an active participant with your love one's care. To insure the services they need are delivered by state & federal programs are received. Realize the organization has 1000's of cases they oversee and unless you keep up with the processes that will get whatever you need. But by comparision Lenape is so above Penndel that any shortcomings are not done intentionally versus simple lapses of the other. Be careful who you choose to work with. read more

This agency's Bristol branch located on the Grounds if Lower Bucks hospital has prescribers of questionable ability. Three times I took a form from the department of education and three times it was filled out incompletely and improperly. Even after the Dept. Of Education translated the basic medical terminology into English. This degree of inattention could very well be deadly if dealing with a non-verbal mentally ill or mentally challenged individual. Thank goodness this wasn't a medication issue and thank goodness I'm verbal and don't have a sub-Normal IQ but I would seriously consider the absolute avoidance of this agency if you require medication or psychiatry. In fairness service is provided more promptly than Penndel Mental Health Center. But that matters little as the services are useless at best and potentially harmful at worst. read more

You must sit here for god knows how long at intake to see a doctor or therapist then wait another 2 weeks from there. I already have a therapist and phychiatrist all I wanted to do was transfer care because my insurance sucks. I really don't feel like sitting for hours when I already have established what services I need. read more

Unfortunately, many people with mental health issues today have no access to truly competent therapists/psychiatrists. Lenape Valley is just one example. I have interacted with several "professional" staff over the course of nine months and came away with the conclusion that the therapists who work there can't get real jobs because they just aren't good enough. Lenape Valley is like a money-making machine that churns patients, probably keeping costs to a minimum by hiring unqualified staff. If you can afford to pay, seek-out an independent mental health professional. If you can't, then sadly, you have little choice. read more

Lenape Valley is one of the few agencies in the Country who are a part of the Zero Suicide Initiative and in the County who offer Dialectical Behavior therapy. Their approach lives in that client centered world that treats people like humans regardless of their abilities, their struggles and crisis. There is no other agency in the county that I would send a loved one too. read more

Highly reputable mental health agency. Staff are great. Best partial program, in the Delaware Valley. People working there are dedicated. I guess,the doctors are the weak link with the exception of Dr. V but there are nurse practitioners that are excellent and will spend much more time with their patients than doctors. They are building a respite center where patients who are not in need of special safety precautions can stay. This,at at a time when state and federal financial support is dwindling for mental health services. Private donors are responsible for this expansion because they realize what an asset ,this agency is to the community. read more
