I was going to wait until I left Aldie to share my review but after finally just being pushed…read moreenough times I have broken down. Where to start?! I have been on methadone for 6 years. And this methadone clinic has been the hardest clinic for me to be a patient at. I have been in tears and on the verge of a mental break down more times than I can count because of this place. I have sent multiple emails to the Executive state director with my concerns and not even one reply. Here is a list of my major concerns: 1. Insurnace problems Aldie takes a very strict Insurnace acceptance approach. They do not take a lot of Insurnace carriers and are quick to try and push clients to "self-pay" ultimately leaving very exposed people who are trying to get their life together and already most don't have much, to navigate getting reimbursed from their Insurnace by themselves, but here is the kicker. Most reputable Insurnace providers require very detailed documentation to get reimbursed and Aldie was unwilling and very difficult to provide said documentation to me they dragged their feet and it took over a year to get reimbursement and then Ultimately back pedaled and attempted to switch all prior "self-pay" payments to Insurnace billed. In my case they almost had my total reimbursement check sent to themselves and were trying to apply any of that "self-pay" reimbursement money as a credit for future services but they had decided to take my Insurnace at that point after making me "self-pay" for a year. In my opinion they most assuredly are committing some form of Insurnace fraud. 2. Improper urine analysis resulting in loss of privileges and some people have even lost their kids and jobs! Aldie called my sons mother and told her she was pregnant after mixing up her test with another client with the same first names test. That other client lost their job/kid because of it. 3. They know their clients are low income and poverty stricken and they use/abuse and take advantage of a lot of clients because of this. I have personally witnessed their longest employed nurse verbally berate a client when he made a mistake, well guess what I know that client personally and literally a week later he was dead. I'm not saying it was her fault but the way she talks and treats people is not okay and I am sure they will if they have not already have a law suit because of her once she treats the wrong person the wrong way. 4.They try and blame clients for mistakes that they make however most mistakes are a result of a lack of communication in my opinion. This is just evil, as most clients are just trying to get their lives together and when they do nothing wrong but are blamed as if they did, then it does a lot to their self confidence, drive and mental aptitude. My sons mother is disabled and they have tried to say that she is selling her medication to make money. Not only is this extremely disrespectful but she has trouble seeing, thinking, walking talking and shakes really bad, she needs all her medications, even with all her medication she still is very bad some days. I literally witness her take her medication on a daily basis so I know that she is not selling or not not taking her medication. Her body's metabolism expels the medication very quickly and so the only way to see if it is in her system is by sending her Urine analysis to the lab. Aldie has done a lot of great things and has helped be tremendously, I am making leaps and bounds despite all my problems with this place but I literally live life on the edge of a metal breakdown with worrying about what will happen next with this place. Honestly I have been on the verge of submitting this review, BBB reports, Medicare/Medicade fraud claims, and flat out wanting to Sue Aldie the only thing that has stopped me is the fear of discrimination and Aldie lashing out and attempted to screw up my life or like Detox me from 220mg in three days or somethings. The fact that they literally have the power to erase all the progress I have made the last six years I've been on methadone literally gives me actual nightmares and panic attacks.

I saw therapist Sarah Conniff Szybowski, who is an independent contractor therapist at Caramenico…read moreCounseling from approximately the end of Dec 2016 to Mar 2017. She goes by the various names of Sarah Conniff, Sarah Conniff Szybowski and Sarah Szybowski. This person also works at the Council of Southeast PA as of the date of this review; and she has worked / or is also working for Heritage Counseling Center in Montgomeryville PA. I ended the therapist-client relationship with her and Caramenico Counseling because of: Ms. Szybowski's incompetence and unprofessionalism. There are so many ethics violations that Ms. Szybowski committed, if I listed all of them in detail, this review would be 9 pages long, which is about the length of the Complaint I will soon be filing with the PA State Licensing Board. Not exactly telling truth in my medical records. There are some statements that are false, and which are easily proven false by other information in my medical records. A pattern of blaming me in my medical records for her negligence and failure to follow appropriate Standards of Care. What Szybowski did do a good job of was completely documenting her incompetence in my medical records. Failure to follow the Caramenico Counseling Group Office Policies and Procedures that I had to sign. I do think that is a contract for services. Szybowski ignored my presenting concern and never explained to me her diagnoses, which differed substantially (an understatement) from 3 historical diagnoses that all said the same thing. I did not even know her diagnoses until I had to give consent for these diagnoses to be released on a form. And how she communicated them to me was by writing ICD-10 codes on this form and I had to ask her what the codes meant. Failure to obtain informed consent. Abuse of Trust in the Therapist/Client relationship. Szybowski has 3 sessions after the intake sessions to communicate with me her diagnoses. She repeatedly chose not to do so and instead wrote things like "working on building a trusting client/therapist relationship" in the session progress notes for all 3 sessions. How is that trust building when she is not openly communicating her diagnoses to me? Imagine how harmful this would be to a client that had already expressed difficulty trusting therapists and that had been noted by Szybowski in my medical records. I tried. I tried to get some type of resolution by speaking with Jennifer Caramenico, the person who runs and owns Caramenico Counseling Group. I might have been satisfied if Caramenico had taken substantial action about Szybowski, but she didn't. When I spoke with Caramenico on the phone, she already knew what happened (Szybowski's version) because Szybowski already told her. Caramenico admitted to me that a mistake had been made and that she was sorry, but could't change what had happened. To ensure that what happened never happens again, Caramenico and Szybowski had developed an "action plan" (oh whoop de do). I wanted Szybowski terminated or at the very least, put on a leave of absence and required to take more training. Caramenico said no, I am satisfied with the action plan. Ok, very well then. State Licensing Board Complaint I will file. I doubt Caramenico knows the full extent of Szybowski's actions. But what she did know, which was at the very least, failure to get informed consent, she made the decision to cover for Szybowski. Both her and Szybowski gave me excuses that were easily contradicted by an actual paper trail, insurance billing records. Will justice be served? Stay tuned.... There are so many therapists out there, why waste time with a bad one? This person has a serious lack of interpersonal awareness and seems to have zero comprehension on how to actually build a trusting client/therapist relationship. I have learned some lessons the hard way. I would recommend to anyone getting therapy to get a copy of your medical records after the intake sessions, ask to see the diagnosis after the first intake session (every place has to provide a diagnosis to bill insurance), and ask to see the previous week's session notes in each following session. If I had known what she was diagnosing me with and what she was writing in the session progress notes earlier, this information would have most certainly affected my decision to continue therapy with Szybowski. I would have ended the therapy relationship immediately.

They absolutely gouged me on price in the half hour I spent there (hundreds of dollars), and sent me a ridiculous bill about a year later which I fought and had removed. Fast forward to 2020, I get bills in the mail for $1300 for "services from 2016." The bill included a phone number to a call center which took me about 10 calls before anyone could even tell me who was billing me and for what. After further review with a call center manager, it turns out I owed $50 because it took my insurance company over 3 years to process the original claim (which I had never heard of before). This place didn't seem great when I first went, and has gotten significantly worse in my eyes ever since. Definitely seem to care more about getting paid than helping people. Avoid at all costs.

I'm unsure of the qualifications of being a drug counselor but here it seems like they just need to have failed at everything else and settled on this. The "therapists" have no idea what to do with such a large group, and seem unintelligent and silly not professional. The director Bethanny is a money hungry salesperson, not someone who actually wants to help. Go elsewhere unless your insurance dictates that you must come here, in which case prepare to leave feeling worse and more irritated than when you went in.
