Do not purchase here. I was a loyal customer and recommended this company many times to others over the last 15 years. Three years ago I purchased a full array of GE Cafe appliances and paid for the extended warranty based on Len Harris' recommendation. The oven/stove unit failed 4 months ago and the first call I made was to Len Harris. They knew that the warranty company would be difficult if not impossible to work with and knew of the myriad of issues surrounding GE products of late. They made a couple of calls to GE for us and then stopped communicating with us. They SOLD US a warranty that THEY KNEW was worthless and knew that the local repair company, NY Tech TV, Inc. specified by the warranty company (Assurant Solutions Corp.) was terrible. We turned on the oven after the last repair by Alliance Best Appliance Repair, a second repair company sent by Assurant Solutions. Post turning on the oven all the carbon monoxide detectors in the house went off. We called 911 who sent the FDNY. The FDNY detected lethal levels of carbon monoxide (1000 ppm) existing in the house. They called ConEd emergency who turned the gas off on the unit and Red Tagged the unit as DEFECTIVE w/carbon monoxide levels of 1000 ppm and told us not to turn on the unit. The bottom line is that Len Harris did not stand behind us, offer us a refund on the oven or at the very least reimbursement on the price of the extended warranty. They also could have easily replaced the unit since they knew all the issues with GE. I am no longer loyal to a company that will not show loyalty to me as a valued customer. read more

I purchased two wall air conditioners from Len Harris on May 4th 2017. First off, this was the cheapest I could find. I went to PC Richards and another neighborhood appliance store and they both wanted over 2000 for both ac's plus installation. My wife and I went to Len Harris shortly after and felt very welcomed. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. They explained everything clearly and the process was pretty easy. We saved about 500 bucks using this company. Now, fast forward to today. The company sent over a gentleman named Franklin to install the ac's. Unfortunately it was a 90 degree day and the guy was alone as his partner called out sick. Anyway, he worked very hard, he was very neat, and cleaned up ever piece of debris created by the installation. He was a real gentleman and a very hard working man. This seems like a great mom and pop store with excellent staff. I highly recommend the store and the installers. I spoke with Lenny and explained the possible tight fit in a prewar 3rd floor walk-up. He pre-measured the machine before I bought it and planned out options if it just didn't quite fit. It did! Great experience with Len Harris- we bought a Speed Queen stacked washer and dryer as it was the only one that fit our needs and they were one of the few places that carried it. Great selection of other appliances too. They gave us the best price, the delivery and installation was scheduled and done in the time period they told us, and the installers took out our old machine and left the area clean. Took off one star because the machine "walked" when we first used it, and after a couple of calls and a little investigation, we figured out that this particular model came with an extra set of shipping bolts which we easily removed and which fixed the issue!
