Crimson Estate Services - Whole Home Liquidation

Crimson Estate Services

(6 reviews)

We cannot recommend Crimson Estate Services highly enough. They did a fabulous job for us helping…read moreus liquidate an inherited estate that was chock-a-block full with rooms of decorative items, collections of figurines, leather and wood furniture, and more utensils and small appliances than you could believe. We also had outside yard art (concrete figurines, etc.) and many, many tools and model train supplies. The garage and shed were full to the brim with items collected over the years by the home owners. We were at a loss as to how we would liquidate these items, especially when we did not live in the area and had never done anything personally beyond a garage sale. We contacted 3 estate sellers and Crimson stood out heads above the others in reviews, and in their ability to guide us to an efficient/effective way to reach a large group of viewers/buyers through their on-line auction capability. The Crimson team came to the house (after we took out necessary personal items, etc.) and catalogued and placed all the household/yard goods into lots, took pictures, wrote descriptions and prepared for a multi-day on-line auction. Rick's expertise in preparing the lots and running the auction were invaluable. At the end, the Crimson team had liquidated the majority of the lots, and for prices that exceeded our expectations! Even lots that went for nominal sums we were happy 'cause they were taken away with the local 'pick-up' process Crimson has, or shipped by the shipper they use; it was effortless removal on our part and let us rest easy that it was all taken care of and in very capable hands. Rick was also helpful in suggesting ways and approaches to handle the remaining items that did not sell (which were few and very manageable for us). We were thrilled with ALL the results! Rick himself, worked wonders for us; he was always available and/or very responsive to our questions and concerns. While Crimson does on site auctions, etc., he recommended this approach as the best solution for us, and indeed, he was absolutely correct! His integrity, responsiveness and professionalism cannot be matched! We would highly recommend Rick and his team, and we can only say that this was truly the brightest part of the whole 'executor/estate' process with which we've been dealing. We trusted Crimson explicitly to handle the auction, follow our requests, and there was never a need for us to be on-site or local to the event and pick up process. You cannot go wrong with this outfit!

My wife had a really frustrating experience with this estate liquidation company, and we won't be…read morereturning. She purchased several items but couldn't make the scheduled pickup at the last minute. Their invoice and descriptions clearly say to call for alternate arrangements, so she did--several times, days ahead. Each time, she got a robotic message asking for her name and a brief message, only to be told no one was available. This went on into the next day with no response. When he answered, he was rude and condescending, treating the situation like a major inconvenience even though she was following their stated instructions. He also brought up charging her card regardless of pickup, which may be policy, but it was completely unnecessary since she never refused to pay. He eventually arranged an alternate pickup, which was a simple solution but the way it was handled made the whole process unnecessarily. Simply put it, disrespectful, rude, and unprofessional. If pickup changes are going to be treated like an annoyance, don't advertise that you accommodate them.
