This is really an excellent spa, I have been going for quite a while now and always return. Last…read moreyear I actually fell down some stairs and hurt my lower back - there was a bruise on my mid to lower back and I had very slight numbness on my leg and a limp. I really don't know what they did but when I left symptoms were pretty much gone and I healed completely in a day or two even though the bruise was still present. Thank you so much to all the ladies there, you're great!

As far as Chinatown massage joints go, SJ Wonder Spa, or under their new moniker of Fantasy Spa,…read moreepitomizes this genre of business. Who knows what SJ stood for, but it was after some careful consideration that the new name was chosen, I'm quite sure of that. They are right in the middle of the block, and with a big bright purple sign, very hard to miss. This place was a-buzz with activity when I went and seemed like a local favourite. For the first time, I decided to opt for the reflexology option for my massage experience here, which turns out is a fancy name for foot and lower leg massage. I had a dude for this part, and he was amazing at making my feet feel awesome. Thinking about my feet, it's not something that I felt needs attention, but I was super happy that I spent the extra coin on this option as feet are something that can get taken for granted. First they bring a bucket of hot water to soak them in, and then the guy massages them along with the leg below the knee. Well worth trying out and see how it feels. The massage included some of the back-walking, but wasn't quite as intense as the other experience I had. Since the place was quite busy, there were more distractions making the experience less than ideal. Still quite impressive and worth checking out to see for yourself. The place seemed right out of a movie and unforgettable!

Since I gotta pay out of pocket for massage now, I thought I'd try Chinatown and see how it stands…read moreup against the rmt I've had over the years. I'm no expert but this was possibly shiatsu, although they told me this was Chinese massage, and it was different from the usual rmt in that they press on points as well as the usual moves. I was super happy with the service and value. Also the amount of effort she put into the job. I asked for 45 minutes which is $50 cash and seems a fairly standard price in Chinatown. The pace was much faster than I'm used to and it seemed that I almost got the usual 90 minutes worth in 45. Of course it's not the same, but quite impressive amount of work over the 45 minutes with no downtime or inefficiency. The room was small, clean and quiet, although I went in the evening when it wasn't busy. There was soft Chinese folk guitar twanging playing quietly in the room and the lighting was nice. The white disposable sheet on the table was great. I met two ladies when I went in, and it seemed like they were the only ones there. One was better at English. The one that massaged spoke only Chinese with rudimentary "ok" in English which was fine and I appreciated not wanting to talk. She ended up using the hot towels on my back which felt heavenly. I tipped $20 since that was all I had on my, but felt worth it compared to the usual $156 bill at the clinic with no tip. I'll be back and felt fantastic on the walk home and the next day.

Would only recommend if u need a quick pick me up to rub your feet…read more Let's start out with the positive. Good pressure on the legs...felt hella good. Legs are feeling refreshed ! After the soak and 10 Minutes in, came the constant interruptions of my masseuse, tending to other appointments coming in, making phone calls on her cell phone between touching me , talking to other patrons coming in. Did not hear or see the other masseuses cleaning their hands in a span of 5 seconds. Phone by my feet? Way to decompress hah. In the middle of my massage she asked if a male masseuse could replace me so she can tend to what it seem to b another appointment . I declined and then she proceeded to continue and then talk to a second appointment while being on her phone touching her cell phone and my feet. She then told the other man to undress and told him she would be there in 30 Minutes communicating from The other room. I got then moved To another room to complete my second half of the package and she left me there for another good long moment. She came back rushing, violently rubbing me quickly . Absolutely not peaceful at all. Then i said can you go Slower and she went softer. Then she got on the phone again speaking her language out loud massaging me With one hand . I asked her if she could take the call later she continued her call And ignored me and then she hung up and i asked her to stop. Then she kept saying no i will give u longer time i said no just stop . Will only pay for 30 Mins. Then she kept persuading me and i still declined. If u r looking for sanitary peaceful environment then skip this place. If u don't mind the hustle bustle then come on down.

An amazing overall experience! I found out about Bodyology…read morethrough my own research online when I was looking to try different RMTs. It's in a location I like and had a good, informative, and updated website. I couldn't be happier that I decided to visit. SUCH a welcoming space and friendly staff. I've been here twice and always left as a completely new person. My favourite is Jonathan Kohl. He is care is magical. If you haven't tried Fascial Stretch Therapy, PLEASE give that a try with Jonathan and be prepared to have your body totally revamp! My another favourite is Marcelo Javier Curbelo-Suarez. He gave me an amazing impactful Cupping Therapy experience!

Came here for the first time with my husband for a couples massage. We had Veraleen and Catherine…read morefor a 50 minute massage. Total came out to $129 per person (without tip). What's hot - Quality. I had Catherine and she was wonderful. She reviewed my health summary and understood the issues I had and definitely knew how to address them. She asked me how much pressure I prefer and certainly applied that very well. She was respectful and responsive to the issues. She focused on my problem areas, applied an excellent amount of pressure, checked in a couple of times during the process , and also massaged my temples and scalp a little bit. Personally, I love that attention to detail, because I've learned where my body holds tension and I appreciate it when masseuses can address that properly. My husband had Veraleen and she was great, as well. She applied a good amount of pressure to my husband's trouble spots and he enjoyed the experience. - Service. Overall, they're pretty good. I booked our massages through their website and they responded by calling soon after. They also made certain we each filled our a health survey. My husband forgot to fill his out and their staffer at the front desk ensured he did so before the massage started. - Facilities. Clean, well-maintained, and comfortable. The room for the couples massage is a good amount of space and not cramped. There's only one restroom in their facility for the customers. - Location. Pretty good and easy to find. There's also parking nearby, which is helpful, because they're downtown. - Health insurance. My husband and I are tourists, so we paid out of pocket, but it appears they take health insurance, which is great. You can fill out health insurance information when you schedule online and I heard their staffer confirm another couples' insurance, who had just finished and was on their way out when we arrived. What's not - 50 minutes instead of a full hour. I'm bummed their massage doesn't go for the full hour, especially due to the price. - Price. To be fair, they're more reasonable than other massage services, which is why I chose them. As mentioned previously, that it's $129 for less than 1 hour seems a bit high. - Website. By the way, if you book a couples massage, be aware of booking each one separately. The first time I tried it, I double booked for myself. Their website isn't the most straightforward, so be aware of that if you're trying to book for others. - Construction noise. To be fair, they have no control over this. I bring this up so people are aware there is currently construction going on, which adds to the noise. Not pleasant, but it just forced me to focus on Catherine's technique, which was great. Final Answer Would be willing to come back if we ever return to the area and would recommend them to others.
