New Playground for the kids!…read more I like how the playground has two areas for different ages and the city used padding for the ground under the play areas because sand is messy and wood chips get everywhere. We've been here twice in the last couple of months and my kids love it. (The city is updating the baseball/softball fields next to the playground). Parking could have a larger lot, but when the lot is full, there's plenty of street parking. And the playground has bathrooms right next to it. I hate when playgrounds/parks don't have bathrooms because kids always need to go when there's not a bathroom around. Very inconvenient when there's no bathroom. Cheers! Please see my photos. There is a round about parking near the entrance with a moderate amount of parking spaces but if you go past that further in there are more parking available. The play ground is quite large compared to other smaller park playgrounds. The cool think i like was that stairs from the first parking lot with the restrooms connect to the playground. So kids can jump right into the fun. Next to the playground its surrounded with plenty of picnic tables (concrete) and lets parents sit and relax while the kids play. The playground has multiple entries with two slides? Two monkey bars, stepping stone style elevated steps, a fireman pole, etc... definitely a fun park to come to. There is a little creek adjacent to the playground where you get a nice tranquil stream of flowing water drowned by the screams and laughter of children in the background, lol.. its nice really and something that sets it apart. We did not go further past the stream but there appears to be additional tables and a trail. Had a great time meeting our friends there and enjoying some fun times with the kids in the process. My kids loved it.

Once you head down the slope, it does feels like a secret hideaway beyond the trees. This was especially apparent during the late December rainfall, where the wet and gusty weather resulted in many fallen leaves. The air was extra crisp, a perfect place to run around or play hide and seek. I've also come here before during the summer, and I can tell the management takes great care of keeping this place clean. The hike itself is relatively easy with some stairs and incline as well as a nice view to boot. Exercise stations are sprinkled around the top portion which the regulars here can benefit from.

The bathrooms and are large individual stalls with changing areas and a family restroom. There's even an outdoor shower to rinse off after using the splash pad. There's a limited amount of tables. Whenever I go the covered bench area always has a party going on. I don't see any phone numbers to call to reserve so I'm not sure if it's first come first served but there is a large concrete area and I've seen people bring their own chairs and tables.

The playground is nice and clean with good facilities and there's those exercise machines too. It does get a bit crowded since a lot of the local community comes here to walk, hang out, and there's baseball and soccer games. Once in awhile, there's food trucks here too. Parking can get a bit tough during those times, but the surrounding neighborhoods work too. Very clean, very safe and populated.

Not only do you get to enjoy a beautiful lake, but there are rolling hills with lush grass, covered gazebos with grills, and several playground apparatuses for the kiddos. I counted three off-hand, but I feel like there were more. Want to jet ski? Check. Wanna go fishing? Check. Kayaking? Check. Boating? Check. Prefer to pedal a boat on the water? You can do that too. Or bring your bike. You can also hike or stroll around the park and take in the wildlife. The wild geese, ducks, birds, squirrels, lizards, and small fish are fun to watch. Just don't feed them, per the signs posted around the area. However, humans can pack a picnic and lounge the day away. Admission per vehicle is $15/day and you have in/out privileges all day long. Special events like concerts, triathlons, and fishing tournaments happen here so check out the calendar on their website. Also, Bonelli Regional Park has Overnight Family Camping on the second Friday of June, July, and August so mark your calendars. We did, but this summer escaped us. We'll be putting that on our bucket list for 2027. Also, you can horseback ride and the Equestrian Center is at the back side of the park. NOTE: Regional Parks are closed Mondays & Tuesdays. Parking was $15/car and you have access in/out all day long.

What a beautiful park with so many varied areas to recreate!…read more I have to admit, I do wish it was limited to unmotorized boats, other than the Lifeguards. It's so peaceful to be near or out on the water with people using row boats, kayaks, paddle boards, peddle boats, fishing etc. But then you get a speedboat or jet ski blaring back and forth in this little strip area. I'm not sure why that would even be fun in such a confined area. Anyway, I don't recommend it for motorized boats. Too small. But often it's quiet and peaceful there. They have a bird wetland/marsh habitat area at the southeast end of the lake with all kinds of beautiful water birds. The bird watching there is amazing. You even sometimes see Bald Eagles. Many families have parties there and stroll the grounds on the weekend. Perfect for people who don't have yards and want to come and relax on the grass and picnic on the weekend. I recommend anyone in the area that uses the park often get a yearly membership and support this great resource of ours!

Via Verde Park, San Dimas…read more Such a beautiful and well-kept park! The walking track is perfect for a peaceful stroll, and the views are absolutely stunning . It's super clean, which makes the whole experience even more enjoyable. There are plenty of benches to sit and relax, plus a nearby restroom which is really convenient. While there isn't a designated parking lot, you can easily find street parking along the sidewalk . I love that there are some shaded spots along the walking path , and even more shade throughout the park thanks to all the gorgeous trees . Overall, it's the perfect place for a morning walk--fresh air, a little vitamin D , and a chance to enjoy nature at its best . Highly recommend!

The only con is that there is not a lot of parking. I didn't see any parking lot and the street parking was filled up. Maple Hill Park is a hidden gem with a lot of things to do for everyone. It's a small and quiet…read morepark but it happens to be very busy all through out the day. Even at night the park is very safe. The paddle ball court is quite popular and usually a wait if you want to play during peak hours. The park is right across from Maple Hills Elementary School. The park offers about 20 parking spaces but you can also park on Maple Hills Road if you can't find parking. The city of Diamond Bar did a major renovation to build a brand new playground, new bathrooms, and basketball court. It's a really clean and beautiful park. The city does a good job in maintaining the park as well. This small park offers tennis court, paddle ball court, basketball court, playground and a huge open field to play soccer. This park is also dog friendly. I see many people walk their dogs and neighbors that live around the area enjoys walking to the park. There are plenty of benches to sit at and also several picnic tables located by the tennis courts.

I didn't walk the whole park but it appears pretty large. I played PBall there with my son and the people are NICE. We played with two sets of strangers and they were very welcoming for us out-of-towners. Put paddles on top of the goal and the first on the right is next, they move the paddles to the right as groups go on. Recommended for PBall!

Does not have the biggest grassy area, but there is a cool trail that connects you from DB Blvd. up to the park. Fun for hikers and people with dogs, and exercise buffs. I'm not quite sure this is called Summitridge Trail or Grand View Trail because it has many names…read moresuch as Canyon Loop or Diamond Bar Loop. Anyhow, we parked our car at the Diamond Bar City Center then we started to hike. This trail is about a 1.5-mile loop trail. It takes an average of 47 min to complete. I would say this is an easy hike for us. However, we enjoyed this beautiful trail with some nice views up on the mountain. Some sections are a little steep but not to the top. This is a popular trail for hiking. We hiked on New Year's Day and the weather was so nice and it had a lot of people there. Dogs are welcome but must be on a leash.
