At almost $8000 a month a room shouldn't have an inch of dust on the shelves. Simple nursing 101 care being neglected. Residents personal item walking away from their room. ongoing issues with supplies provided for a resident seemingly disappearing faster than a resident could use. Not very impressed with the leadership either. if you had asked me 3 years ago if I would recommend the Villa, the answer would have been yes, but today, a resounding NO.

My husband and I were affiliated with this facility for four years. I recently moved him to another…read morebecause his disease has progressed and I felt that Villa was no longer a good fit for us. The activities program is wonderful and there's live music almost daily. This is the only thing that is truly "Platinum Service" at Villa! My concerns were with the assessment skills of the nursing staff and the uncaring, rude demeanor of several caregivers. They remain employed despite numerous complaints from family members! Nursing Administration was mostly defensive when issues were reported. The dietary director was initially reluctant to accommodate my husband's changing needs and then when changes were made, they were inconsistent. We, as advocates, trust that our loved ones are being cared for by knowledgeable people who will recognize ACUTE changes in a resident's physical and/or mental status and take proper action in a timely fashion. The facility is beautiful but don't base a decision on this alone. Also, private duty care is almost a requirement at Villa as your loved one's disease progresses.

Sorry I was not up and getting my messages on Yelp…read more My poor mommy broke her hip and is staying at the Arlington for rehabilitation we don't know if she'll be staying a month or what. My whole world is turned upside down. :'(. It's been so hard on me. I hope she'll get back to normal soon it's been hard on her too. The Arlington is beautiful hugs and everyone treats you like family and friends . The nurses are very accommodating. They go above and beyond to help my mommy. The social worker Emily went out of her way to be so accommodating. The therapy department is top notch.

I didn't like how they talked/treated my youngest daughter that was staying with me. My youngest daughter Laura was staying with me and was helping me through this ordeal. My bathroom was acting up so a maintenance man was called out to fix the toilet. He did fix it the first time we went out to stay on the patio and talked with someone then we were reading. Came back to water on the floor called again got the same maintenance man he was puzzled as to why it was this way. Then he had taken pictures of the toilet why I don't know I WAS WITH MY DAUGHTER AT ALL TIMES. We went out again to try to get me walking then we had tea with a friend that came to visit me and I had asked my daughter to run a head of me to get a check for me so I can pay a friend back. I had caught up to her.she got the check and turned to ask me if she could brush her teeth before giving it to me. I then said yes,if I knew what would've happened to her I would've said no obviously the maintenance man he didn't know what to say about it he had blamed my daughter ,he whipped his phone out to show a picture of a TOILET FOR GODS SAKE SHE DID NOTHING WRONG.

Staffed with dedicated professionals, you can feel how much they love what they do! It is exactly what our family needed to find after our exhausted caregiver mother was in need of relief during the day in providing care and supervision of our stepfather who had Alzheimer's. He was easily agitated and found it very uncomfortable to be around strangers, making it near impossible to find a place where he would be happy, safe and well cared for! Each of the Day Centers we visited, he was intolerant of the place and anxiously wanted to leave....until we visited Ardent Manor and met Helen Waite, the Executive Director! On first meeting her, it was like watching a gifted artist with a brush on canvas, how she skillfully painted a beautiful study of him and zeroed in on his personal fears and comfort level...handling him with just enough humor and comfort that, with pleasure, he voluntarily sat down and within minutes was engaging in a group activity! If you knew my stepfather you knew that never happened before! Shocked as we were by this, after getting to know Helen I realized how much this gifted woman was making an enormous lasting change in all our lives and had been doing with countless families before we got there. Committed to providing a caring supportive service that promotes dignity and self esteem, Helen and Dan Waite have partnered to create an endearing and charming "Club" ! Along with Lexi and their other dedicated team, they helped in Charlie's transition from attending a couple of hours a week to five days and a full day...it provided immeasurable fulfillment for the challenges he faced with Alzheimer's. The program which consists of daily exercise, music therapy, singing, crafts, discussion groups, games, cards, memory enhancement exercises and discussion groups are prepared with warmth and dignity. As Charlie's health declined, they were with us every step of the way with the warmest support and care you could every ask for! Our family is extremely thankful that we found Helen and Dan and their wonderful Center...and especially in helping to make a "soft spot to lean on" during those tiresome times.
