We had an amazing time celebrating at Lelli's! This is a nostalgic place from my childhood when it was located in Detroit. I would go with my family and we would get the six course full meal and I would always get the chicken Lelli. Fast forward to when it came to Auburn Hills, I remember when I first stated dating my husband we spent a great night eating here and seeing a Piston's game once upon a time when they still played at the Palace. Now we returned for an anniversary dinner and it was a lot of fun. We both got the full six course meal. The roll was only okay, but I liked the butter. The salad was nice. I like their antipasto charcuterie plate. The soup is so nostalgic for me. My mother used to make this recipe for us when we were children and it brings back great memories. I love their meaty pasta. We also had some drinks, an espresso martini and a Hawaiian punch mixed drink. I had my old time favorite, the chicken Lelli. It is so good, nice and lemony and garlicy. I love their mashed potatoes, growing up, they were my favorite mashed potatoes. It also came with green beans. We had the spumoni, also an old timey favorite of mine, some cappuccinos, and our favorite tiramisu. The tiramisu was so creamy, I loved how they layered it. Of course, I did have tons of leftovers. I basically had everything left except for the desserts since it was so much food. The staff was delightful. I like the old style feel, again, it was like my childhood, so nostalgic. Plus, I met the most adorable, loveliest puffer fish in their tank which also made the visit memorable. Hope to be back really soon.

Fantastic service. Old school traditional Italian restaurant. Amazing food. Right now they're doing the rollback summer pricing. Incredible incredible deals. We had chicken piccata and shrimp Lelli. The place is needed a little TLC the last few years and they are on it now. The only thing I think they really need to take care of now is some of the wires hanging from the ceiling. But they're working on it slowly, but surely. But I swear the deals are so much better here for an awesome dinner than most of the Fine dining restaurants in the area. Come in and get this summer rollback menu. We actually had a Groupon gift certificate we were going to use, but didn't have to because of this deal. We are amazed at the prices and it's for five course meal. Super salad, side of pasta, main entrée which we had leftovers, bread basket, and sorbet or spumoni for dessert.

We had great dinner, just hubby and I before a show in Rochester. We chose the ala carte option since we were running late and short on time. I got the Tenderloin ala Sicilian wow I was super impressed. The steak was very tender and loved the amogio sauce. Hubby got fettuccini Alfredo with chicken. Alfredo was very rich and on the sweet side. Great atmosphere definitely date night vibes! Great service! We want to return to do the 7 course option.

Great ambience and server Kelly was AWESOME!! 2 Steaks came out wrong, Salmon and several of the sides were cold when placed at table. They heated the salmon and sides back up immediately and Replaced the 2 steaks but took 52 minutes to return the steaks?? Not a great experience.

We had such high hopes for this place when walked and it fell hard... The staff was nice the whole time and very friendly. So at least service was nice. That was the only good thing. We waited for over 2 hours for our main dish. They brought out our app really fast which was calamari but it was so salty and over cooked. They do have rolls that weren't half bad. So my main was the porterhouse and what a waste of a $100. They meat was so unevenly cooked. Half basically rare and the other half super over cooked. So sad. Then my sister and mom shared a porterhouse and it was the same way. Just a bunch of wasted money and took hours to get food. Also things that a high end restaurant should do... -We order a table side salad. They made our salads in front us but another table and brought our salad over to us. -They didn't cut into the steak to check the temperature. -The staff kept repeatedly kept trying take food the table we still eating.

We ate here for Mother's Day dinner with our immediate family and had a great experience! I made a reservation approximately 1 week in advance and had no issues getting a comfortable time. We were sat in an awesome / comfortable booth and had 2 hours of amazing food and service. The ambiance here is that of a very old and stately Italian Steak House. It's like a comfortable pair of jeans, a bit worn, but very comfortable and always in style. The service was excellent - there were several food runners, and our drinks never emptied and the table was always cleared. The food was well prepared and served in extremely generous portions. I didn't even finish half of my entree, and each course was excellent. I think the Minestrone soup was the best that I have ever eaten. The steak was prepared perfectly, and I enjoyed the spinach and carrots as well. Our whole experience was just right for what we were looking for. Yes, Lelli's has been around for a long time and it is not the trendy decor that many are looking for. If you are looking for a dark, quiet and enjoyable Italian meal, than this place delivers. We will definitely be back

Alex provided terrific service. Attentive, without being obsequious. I was craving the taste of a ribeye and the 48 oz ribeye dinner-for-two was the special. Plenty of excellent beef to take home. It includes mashed potatoes, mushrooms and green beans. I would have appreciated a few more green beans and the plating of the beans was haphazard. Sunday night's are a great time to visit. Not busy. Not noisy. Not cheap. Lelli's has never disappointed me. Will I return? Absolutely, yes!

High end restaurant near Oakland University and Chrysler Tech center. Celebrated my wife's birthday. Staff very accommodating, professional. Our waiter was top notch. Tried Tenderloin Tips. Tips are served with Cajun style sauce. Excellent and unique appetizer. We had a Caesar Salad which was prepared table side. I had a 11oz Prime Filet Mignon. Seriously amazing meat. Just does not get any better - I enjoyed the filet very much.

We haven't been to Lelli's in several years and it did not disappoint! My wife and I were both busy on Valentines Day, so we celebrated tonight. The place was packed! There was a party of 66 and a party of 23 near us and the other side of the restaurant was also full. Lelli's is huge! Capacity seating is 350 and based on what we saw tonight, they can accommodate large groups with ease. Even though they were super busy, the food came out in a timely manner and it wasn't as loud as I thought it would be. For dinner I couldn't decide between the veal chop and the scallops, so I made it a surf and turf. The veal was spectacular! Cooked perfectly to medium rare with a light jus and mushrooms. The sides were green beans and mashed potatoes. My only complaint is I would have loved more green beans. They were excellent. I liked the mashed potatoes too, but the green beans were amazing. For desert I got the spumoni. I forgot how amazing it is. A wonder meal with my wife and we had a lovely conversation with a nice couple celebrating a 69th birthday. The service was impeccable, especially for how busy it was. Tonight was a wonderful experience that I look forward to enjoying again.

Sadly one of Oakland County's top restaurants has FAILED to deliver. Our family was looking forward to celebrating Thanksgiving and a 92nd birthday. 6 pm reservation - table of 5. We arrived at 5:50 pm to check in. "It will be a few minutes." We are sitting in the beautiful lobby, enjoying small talk. Lots of activity at the hostess stand. Next guest with reservation. "It will be a few minutes." An unhappy customer approaches the stand, "May I speak to a manager?" Now the rumors are spreading, that they are running an hour+ late, not a few minutes. Several tables only had water and bread after 40 minutes of sitting. Some people have been at their tables for 3+ hours - waiting for food or simply hanging out. 7:05 pm we are seated, after four tables that came after us were seated before us. Not sure why? The assumption is 4, 3, 3, 3 (not 5, so we needed a larger table)? Still frustrating. No communication with us. 7:25 pm Water and bread arrive. It's better than the 40 mins rumored earlier. 7:35 David, the Waiter, arrives. Very nice young man. Polite. Fast, low talker, and with the background noise, practically impossible to hear. We immediately order our simple Thanksgiving a la carte meal. A traditional Thanksgiving plate. Figured if we got the order in, we would receive our simple single plate in a reasonable time. NOPE. 8:20 pm Food arrived. (More than an hour after being seated.) Food. Good amount of food for $36. Inconsistent portions. Carbs were plentiful and tasty - mashed potatoes (Fine), sweet potatoes (Very tasty, not too sweet), and sausage stuffing (Cold with a bit of spice). The gravy was poured onto everything to make the plate hotter and mask the poor quality of the turkey. The cranberry sauce was family-style and very good. Turkey. Well, one would expect breast slices and/or dark meat portions. Nope, it looked like pulled Turkey (think pulled pork). Unfortunately, it was LOADED with turkey bones. Yes, 5 out of 5 plates - BONES. It is dangerous for our elderly parents dining with us. David was not around to discuss. When the plate clearing happened, and we all pointed to our pile of bones, the young man commented. "Yes, many people have been saying that tonight." 8:45 pm exit. Hostess Philicitie is a wonderful young lady. While a bit elusive with the estimated wait, I guess that is her job. She did communicate and even came by our table to see how things were going. (Before we got our food.) Bussing team - AMAZING. Showed up often with water and drinks, quickly cleared plates, and was generally around to help. Waiter David - Polite young man. He seemed engaged during the interaction. There was no follow-up, and obviously, we didn't put our order in quickly. The 6-top next to us ordered after us, got the food before us, etc. And he wasn't brave enough to ask how things were going. We were so disappointed in the whole evening at this point there was no reason or hope to discuss what occurred. Plus, we would have been in a long line of upset customers. Front of House Manager - Who knows who this is? Who knows why he/she wasn't engaged on this busy important family holiday? This is the biggest failure and my reason for saying this restaurant is failing miserably. Finally, a rumor was heard - The head chef left several months ago, and they have three cooks doing the work. I believe they need to hire a 4th cook specializing in picking bones out of the meat for the customers. Now, before you go saying this is just one busy day. While I agree. Again, the main issue is the total lack of management checking on the guests, essentially no customer service or concern for the guest experience. This, combined with an obvious lack of a head chef, will doom this once legendary Metro-Detroit favorite.

Old school Italian at its best. The owners take pride in what comes out of the kitchen. Best steak around by far.

Ask the Community - Lelli's Inn

My husband and I had reservations for dinner tonight and received a call that the restaurant was closed due to power outage? Phone caller ID did say Lellis. Anyone aware of power outage in Auburn Hills?

Ate there tonight with no problems 12/29/17

"Review #500" :-D…read more October 31, 2024 On Friday October 4th I attended a Beautiful Fall wedding at The Pine Knob Mansion for My Dear and Close friends Phil & Jessica. The main road entrance starts with a welcome sign to Pine Knob Golf Course. The winding road will lead you pass the greens with golfers, then several expensive residential homes. There are two venue banquet buildings called The Carriage and this one called The Pine Knob Mansion. Both have valet parking service at their entrance doors. My photos attached will show how wonderful this place was from start to finish. The ceremony was outside in the Garden Gazebo area overlooking the ski lifts and property of Pine Knob with fold up chairs on the grass area. This venue can accommodate all seasons of the year for many memorable and personal events. The outdoor brick patio was large enough for both cocktail hour after ceremony and again in the evening with a DJ for music and dancing. The Bride and Groom performed their special dances together on it plus with their parents. The wedding and party time continued till midnight! The efficient servers were very attentive when eating the plated sit-down dinner. They also served refill of waters quickly too. The Formal banquet room was very elegant with Chiavari Chairs, along with great lighting. Check out my attached photos of Jess and Phil's special and lovely wedding which expresses it all! The Food was Fantastic and Oh My Deeeelicious along with Great plate presentation! This location can be found on The Knot and has different price packages based on your event for food and desserts. My Friends Phi and Jess opted to bring in their own seasonal desserts with cider and donuts along with mini parfait desserts for that special Fall Style Theme. My photos attached shows a wooden wall with pegs on it for displaying the variety of donuts. What a wonderful and impeccable wedding venue for Phil & Jessica. Thanks to the terrific and pleasant staff who showed teamwork working together serving here at The Pine Knob Mansion. Sincerely, Karen N. SpecialK :-)

Their…read moreprofessionalism, attention to detail, and kindness are absolutely unmatched for the price you'll pay. From the moment we contacted them, Katelyn and Nikki were on top of the wedding. Not only did they break down pricing and offer suggestions to save money, they were incredibly accommodating for everything we requested! We were on a very short timeframe due to immigration visa requirements and the ladies at the Iroquois helped us navigate all the hurdles with ease. On the day of the wedding, Katelyn had things in motion for us before I even arrived. She could tell I was nervous and anxious and stepped up to help make decisions and get things into place - even taking over to allow me to go get ready! When I arrived, I stepped into a well-oiled machine. We had several staff members waiting to sneak me inside, and who stayed with us to assure things were taken care of. All I had to do was stand there, walk, and say some vows! They handled everything for us, things I hadn't even thought about, so flawlessly there was not a single bump the entire evening. The staff cannot be commended enough for their work. We had one woman with us all night who continuously checked in with me, updated me on any issues, and reassured me when I was worried something had gone wrong! My guests told me over and over again they felt like royalty the way they were treated, and many said they'd never been to a wedding to high-end and fancy! For the low price we paid, it was an amazing compliment! It really felt like we'd shelled out 10k minimum, and we barely hit half that! The open bar was an incredible bargain and the bartender was SO sweet! At the end of the night she asked my husband and I if she could make us the last drinks before closing up, which was so kind as we'd barely been by and she noticed. They attentiveness cannot be overstated, as literally every single thing was handled with a gracious, gloved hand. The real highlight for us though was the fact the staff managed to sneak in some photos at the Photo Booth we had, AND leave us a special note in our guest book. It may have seemed simple to them, but seeing their genuine kindness and support of our marriage really touched us (and was what finally brought me to tears lol!), it's something we'll treasure for years to come. There isn't anything we could think of that would make the night any better. It was perfect, and it was all thanks to The Iroquois Club!
