Yesterday, after sending an email, I went to our sequestered Leland Management Office. Chrisann, the CAM on office duty was having a very busy day. Some areas of the property just opened up and the "normal" amount of issues had taken a great deal of her time. Yes, Chrisann can perform magic and deescalate an angry or frustrated resident. She calmly explains that she does not make the rules, our BOD, county and state determine how and when areas can be open. A resident came to the door to let her know that he had repaired the treadmills, but the company only sent 2 instead of 3, so another kit needs to be ordered. She took down all the information and thanked him for always helping with the Fitness Center. Mind you, it was now almost 1:30, Chrisann had yet to finish her lunch, she was turned into a webinar, helped me get an enlarged copy from a disgruntled copier, provided me with info that I needed about a new resident and she was still smiling!
We are so fortunate to have Chrisann on the Leland Management Team; she knows her job and her professionalism always shows. I don't get to work as closely as we did when she first joined the staff due to a change in my volunteer duties.
Since we bought in SummerGlen in 2009, we have had a great deal of turnover in Leland staff. We are blessed now to have Nicole, Chrisann, and Joe who share many of the same work ethics and character traits. It is a team I hope remains for a long time. read more
