As much as I loved the staff here, I cannot say I was impressed with the job they did to my nails &…read morethe waiting. My mom & I made an appointment for 11:40, when we got there our names weren't written down and it was very unorganized. We finally got to start at around 12:00, but only one lady was doing our nails. So as I was getting mine done, my mom was sitting there for a good hour before anyone got to her nails. When I was done with my pedicure I was taken to go get my fingernails painted with shellac. The lady that did them, I felt was so stressed and wasn't doing a very good job. They looked pretty good when I left the shop, but as soon as I got home I realized they were extremely blotchy & started peeling the next day. With my research, shellac is supposed to last 2-3 weeks, but mine didn't last for even a DAY.

Understanding that unforeseen circumstances can arise, I respectfully inquired whether any accommodation could be made in light of the extended wait time. Unfortunately, my concern was met with a confrontational and dismissive response from the manager, rather than a professional effort to address the situation. Punctuality and customer service are essential in a service-based business. While occasional delays may be unavoidable, how those situations are handled makes a significant difference. Regrettably, I did not feel my time or business was valued during this visit. I hope the salon takes this feedback into consideration to improve future client experiences. Needless to say, I will not be back as they have lost a customer.

I was planning a day in Muskegon and decided I wanted to get my hair cut. It had been at least six…read moremonths since I'd gotten a cut since I was trying to grow out a short style and after reading about the salons in the area, I decided to give this salon a try. First of all, I showed Holly (my hairdresser), two pictures with the style of bangs I wanted. A thick, blunt bang that came long on the sides, very lightly layered. One was just past the shoulders, only maybe an inch max longer than mine, the other was actually cropped so you could only really see the woman's face and neck but she appeared to have longer hair. I am the kind of person who researches exactly what I want my hair cut to look like, spending hours pouring over pictures. After telling my hairdresser what I wanted, she told me she didn't think my hair was long enough (despite my first picture featuring a shoulder length cut), and that the longer angles on the side would actually make my face look rounder (the opposite of what allure, Redbook and Glamour said; I'm inclined to believe them over a random hair stylist - and regardless, give me what I want, dammit!). She talks me into doing a normal straight bang and takes me to the sink. Their hair washing sinks are highly uncomfortable but I was willing to forgive this minor thing. To make it more fun though, I listen as the supervisor or whomever talks to Holly basically the entire time she's washing my hair about how this whole family will be coming in. As someone who works in customer service, I would never talk over a customer when I'm supposed to be paying attention to them. I know she's just washing my hair but I still feel pretty unimportant as they go on for a few minutes about how she'll have to stay late, etc etc. Now, the actual cut. After trying to bring up my bang idea a few more times once she's done talking to scheduling lady and being shot down, I've kind of given up and decided it's in her hands. She cuts my bangs it a straight line, then trims my ends. She takes off a bit in between these two weird layers I have left over from my short chop and texturizes it. A total of five minutes of cutting later, we're done. It's cute but I look like I'm in high school again, the very thing I was trying to avoid with a more sophisticated bang style. Now I understand why mothers and their children come to her. This is the first time I've ever left a tip smaller than ten dollars and I'm a poor college student. Now that my hair isn't blown out and freshly cut, my bangs are so thin they're like little pieces of hair over my face. I remember now why I stopped getting bangs - because every time I get the same, frustrating straight line across the eyebrow. Sorry for the ridiculously lengthy review but I'm just so disappointed. I'm going to end up having to thicken and layer my bangs myself, which is the very thing I was trying to avoid. Sadly, though, I'm confident I'll do better than this salon did. I feel bad leaving a poor review because Holly did seem like a genuinely nice person but this cut is just so two dimensional.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but this visit was frustrating enough to warrant it. I came in…read morehoping for a relaxing deep tissue massage, but the experience was anything but. The masseuse primarily used her elbows and forearms throughout the session, barely incorporating her hands -- which made the massage feel more like being mechanically pushed around than an actual therapeutic experience. Most concerning, she spent a lot of time rubbing directly over bones rather than focusing on the muscles, which was not only ineffective but also uncomfortable. I'd rate the massage itself a 5 out of 10, and that's being generous. The only moments that stood out were the ones I was wincing from having my bones worked over -- not exactly the relief I came in for. What really ruined the experience, though, happened afterward. I paid what I believed was the correct amount -- $70 plus a tip -- and left. A few seconds later, the woman came outside and flagged me down at my car, insisting I owed her $20 more because she supposedly only charged me $50. She didn't speak English, so we had trouble communicating. I tried to explain to her that the name on the receipt wasn't mine and I had already paid what was due. Despite my efforts, she grew increasingly insistent, and the situation got tense enough that I followed her back inside. With the help of a translation app, I was finally able to explain the confusion. She then realized she had made a mistake -- no apology, but at least she let me leave. Unfortunately, by then the whole ordeal had left me more tense than before the massage. Ironically, I think I need another massage now -- just not from this place

I was told I would need a skin graft to close the wound. Photos of this type of procedure were never shared beforehand, and I ended up with a ghastly scar which is partially hidden by a change in hair style, The greatest disappointment is learning after the fact that another surgical procedure known as flap surgery would have eliminated the graft and resultant facial scar. I confronted the doctor who responded with a lame excuse. Not only would I vehemently NOT recommend this physician, I would do my best to convince anyone considering plastic surgery to avoid this Muskegon practice.

My eyes ended up worse than they were before. What I really needed was a brow lift instead, and he certainly should have known that. He tried different office procedures to try and correct his mistakes but all failed. I ended up feeling like an experiment. He also did fat grafting in my cheeks (again - his suggestion). Now my cheeks are fat, lumpy and uneven. I am so embarrassed for people to see me. My whole face is sagging down worse than before and I have noticeable "railroad" type scars in front of my ears. I wasted $10,000 with him and it will cost me $16,000 to attempt and get the necessary repair work done. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else to start with. I sure wish I had.
