Firstly, I was/am very grateful to learn that there was a Priority Pass lounge pre-security at JFK…read more Most of the lounges are in terminals 1 & 4 and the airport's set up in a way that the terminals aren't connected on the airside. I've read that it may be possible to go through security and visit other terminals to use the lounges but honestly given how long and chaotic TSA lines tend to be at JFK this isn't something I'd want to deal with. So, pre-security lounge = BIG WIN already. Speaking of security, as others have mentioned, this lounge offers a "skip the line" kind of service, which I'd definitely think about utilizing if I was flying out of terminal 1. I was flying out of a different terminal so I only used the lounge. Getting in was easy. The staff was friendly and efficient and the line moved fast. As for the actual lounge, it's cozy and modest but gets the job done. There are maybe like 6-8 tables/seating areas plus a counter. Be aware that there doesn't seem to be a bathroom within the lounge but I guess that's to be expected given the limitations of its location. It was easy to find outlet access. There's a few mini fridges stocked with chilled soda and beer, a couple of bottles of wine uncorked, and I believe you can order mixed drinks too. You order food via QR code. It's nothing too extravagant sandwiches etc. The snacks set out were also super basic. Jars of chips, pretzels, cereal, etc. I wasn't feeling especially well so I just grabbed a couple of cold ginger ales and didn't eat. I'll update if I return and try the menu. This is fairly bare-bones in terms of the actual lounge experience but am honestly so grateful for the reprieve in an airport where there aren't many convenient options. It gets the job done in terms of a private place to stay, grab a bite, and get some work done away from the crowds and chaos of the rest of the terminal. And I imagine the security services are a literal godsend if you actually need them, especially seeing how chaotic the line was the night I was there. (And how I imagine it's probably often like that....) Considering the high possibility of future layovers in JFK I'm highly likely to use this lounge again.
