When we arrived at 7:30 pm on a Thursday (late May) the place was full of tourists and businessmen alike. We found a small table outside and asked for a recommendation on a local wine and beer. Both were exactly what we needed. It might seem expensive, but so is everything else in Switzerland to someone from the US. It is within 100' from the Bern bears, which you must also go and see while in Switzerland's capitol. The only thing that would make this place better is if they had a terrace/patio on the river side of the building, with views towards Bern and the sunset, but you work with what you have.

They serve a selection of small starter plates (cheese, olives, antipasti plates) or bigger meals. Not quite sure about there breakfast options though. The focaccia bread was the highlight of our meal. It had a light tomato sauce with fresh arugula and cherry tomatoes, finished off with a light drizzle of olive oil. I ordered the seafood risotto which consisted of shrimp, mussels, clams, and calamari. Aside from the presentation, the dish was very off. The mussels and shrimp were the only edible seafood on the plate, and the risotto lacked flavor. My friend got the gnocchi pomodoro which was very basic and also had poor flavor. It tasted like watered down tomato paste with a small pinch of salt. The pizza that other tables ordered looked very good, so I would assume that would be the thing to get if you find yourself here. But because of that, they charge us money for 3 (supposedly 2 not sure why) cups of water lol..
