Our waitress was helpful with suggestions and quite personable. It is classy inside with a bbq twist. Their presentation of the entrees came with a Tex feel. Their French fries are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Perfect combo. The prawns were seasoned to perfection as well. The filet was cooked to my husbands request. He said that it had just enough seasoning for taste. Same with the hamburgers. We enjoyed our meal all around and would frequent this location if we were locals. The menu was extensive enough to contain burritos (that for whatever reason are extremely hard to find in Mexican restaurants in Switzerland), as well as several other basics. After we promptly ordered them, we were pleasantly surprised with just how good the food and drinks were. Despite a bit of a kitsch interior, this place has great food and a highly enjoyable terrace. Overall, it's a safe bet and definitely recommended if you are in the mood for a mexican.

Both were exactly what we needed. It might seem expensive, but so is everything else in Switzerland to someone from the US. It is within 100' from the Bern bears, which you must also go and see while in Switzerland's capitol. The only thing that would make this place better is if they had a terrace/patio on the river side of the building, with views towards Bern and the sunset, but you work with what you have.

He accommodated our English very well and translated the Swiss German menu for us. Our waiter guided us through a nice wine selection while paying attention to price and our taste. Dinner was a shrimp salad, veal ravioli, Scottish steak followed but dessert or cheese selection. The restaurant is in a quiet part of the street parallel to the main shopping area of Bern so a nice escape from the busy crowds.

The most flavorful part with the risotto - although the steak was cooked perfectly it lacked in flavor. If you have time and want to sit and enjoy your meal for awhile this is the place for you - for the money we wish the service was better - maybe add a service person to help keep up with requests and needs of customers

I'd gotten 200g sirloin, added a lobster tail and a baked potato and sour cream. That plus water ended up being close to $85usd. Not sure if this would be a place I'd recommend to someone else first but it's an option for sure. Everyone enjoyed their food and drinks and a good time was had by all.
