If I could give 0 stars I seriously would. I had my vehicle towed here because my regular mechanic…read morewas pretty booked. Had a couple coworkers look at it and we all agreed that it was probably the starter. First red flag was the owner couldn't give me a price estimate. He said he would tell me the price when he was done with the service. I left my car there Thursday was called Saturday saying it was ready for pickup. He told me it was my starter. I pick up my car on Saturday and as I was a block away from my house it stopped in the middle of an intersection. Called the mechanic and he told me to try to turn it off and on which I did and then drove it straight to the shop again. ( it stopped twice more otw there) My ac worked perfectly fine before and that was broken too. What upset me was he wouldn't own up to making a mistake and just tried to blame me instead. He was really trying to take advantage. I had to call my father to go in there and check what was going on because they weren't taking me seriously. Monday they called me and told me they wanted me to pick up my car right away cause it was fixed. He was really passive aggressive over the phone telling me that if I couldn't pick it up I had to send someone to pick it up as soon as possible. That it wasn't their fault my car was just randomly stopping. I guess when you take a car to a mechanic is not their job to ensure your vehicle works 100% It sucks because they had really great reviews but I wouldn't do any business with them.

If you live in Mundelein this is the only shop I would recommend! I've owned cars for many years…read moreand I've had them fixed for as many years. Before I came to this shop, my idea of an automotive repair shop was a dim and dirty place with oil on the floor. There's usually a small TV somewhere with old chairs around it. This place is top notch! They have a big clean waiting room with a big screen TV and free WiFi internet. I actually thought that this was a franchise business since the employees wear nice polo's with company logo and everything is professional. I was told about their customer appreciation program where for every dollar you spend you get a "CarMedix mile", once you have enough of these miles you can redeem them for free services like brakes and oil changes. The service I've been provided is bar none! The prices are fair and the automobile is fixed on time when promised. They also have a full body shop and a small dealership. Give these guys a try, I'm sure you'll feel the same way I do!

My RX8 was keyed in a train parking lot a few years ago and I took it here on my brother's…read morerecommendation. I'm very glad I did. Carmedix did extensive panel replacement and paint, resulting in an absolutely beautiful finished product. They perfectly matched the rare original color and replaced the 3M clear bra, as well as detailing my car inside and out before I picked it up. All the panels were perfectly aligned and the car was absolutely brand new. This happened two months after I had switched to Geico and it was an almost $5000 comprehensive claim. I was understandably worried about getting everything taken care of by Geico, but CarMedix took care of everything. I dropped my car off and a week later it was ready. They even arranged for a rental and did all the work of talking to Geico and getting everything approved and covered. I have since recommended them without hesitation and they've done body and paint work on three of my friends' cars, one of whom is extremely particular. CarMedix consistently has some of the lowest prices you can find and more importantly does extremely good work. I've definately not seen a better bodywork value.

EXCELLENT. Transmission specialist is an understatement. Very transparent, and they got the job…read moredone right the first time. Very thorough. I was Skeptical because I had gone to two other shops to get work on my transmission and for a tuneup. They took complete advantage of me, ripped me off and did not resolve the issue. The service here was excellent, worth every penny. I ended up getting my car detailed and ceramic coating which is one of the many services they offer body wise. The ceramic coating is awesome I gave my car basically a facelift and it protects the paint and car. Rain or liquid rolls off doesn't slide off. They also install high performance sound systems and do a lot of custom work. Literally your one stop shop mechanically, Maintenance and aesthetics. Highly recommend will not be going anywhere else anymore, very happy I found this place. 5 stars all around!
