We took the kiddos to LEGOLAND Florida Resort for my 7-year-old's birthday after he had been begging to go. We figured, why not? We arrived right when the park opened, which I'm very glad we did because it was extremely busy that Saturday. The security checkpoint at the entrance could definitely be improved. Instead of providing trays to place your belongings before walking through the metal detector, you're asked to step through first and then move to a separate line for individual bag checks. It felt disorganized and slowed things down. Once inside, the park itself was very nice. There were plenty of characters walking around and designated photo areas throughout the park, which made for some great memories. The park offers a good variety of rides for children and some options for adults as well. However, we were very disappointed with the number of rides that were either down for seasonal maintenance or simply not operating. Only one roller coaster was running the day we visited. The Dragon was the only coaster open, and while it was decent, it wasn't quite enough for my 9- and 7-year-old, who enjoy faster and more thrilling rides. Coastersaurus was closed entirely. The Great LEGO Race was repeatedly breaking down. I personally watched riders get stuck multiple times while I stood in line for over an hour waiting. That was incredibly frustrating and honestly a major buzzkill for the day. On a positive note, the LEGO Cities area was outstanding. The massive LEGO builds were interactive and included fun facts, like how many bricks were used and interesting details about the real-life cities they were modeled after. That area was truly impressive and engaging for both kids and adults. We also grabbed food at one of the burger spots in the park and were pleasantly surprised by the quality. It ended up being one of the highlights of the trip! Overall, despite some frustrations, the trip was still a success. The kids enjoyed taking pictures with characters, riding what was available, getting a good meal, and picking out souvenirs and LEGO sets. Ticket prices were also reasonable for a family of four. If you're visiting Florida and looking for a theme park geared toward younger children, I would still recommend giving LEGOLAND a try -- just keep in mind that ride availability may impact your experience.

Great theme park for the little ones! Especially kids who love legos. The entire park is manageable in one day. We bought 1 reusable drink and the photo pass. Wait times were 5-40 minutes the week before spring break. We arrived around 11:30AM & left at 5PM. The gift shops have a wide variety of Lego sets. Have fun!

We came here with a 5 year old and a 2 year old. They really liked it! There are a lot of activities for young kids- and a lot of bigger exciting rides for bigger kids. This was our first time here-and we will definitely be back again. We found the food to be acceptable for a theme park-both the quality and price were okay. The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful! We really appreciate that!

I visited Legoland with my family recently for the first time ever and had a good time. Our visit happened to be the day of their Brick-or-Treat event and it was fun to see the different lego people dressed up in costumes plus get candy at the treat stations throughout the park. The lines for rides were only 5-10 minutes max on the Saturday we visited which was nice. The rides/attractions were enjoyable and I loved that most had a lego build area to occupy the kids while we waited. For food/drink we tried Legoland Coffee Co. which was something I'd skip next time. The single sundae at Firehouse Ice Cream was amazing and only $7.49 for a big portion! Now, for a few downsides. The Legoland app could use some improvement. It showed inaccurate ride statuses.. some were listed as open when they were closed all day and vice versa. Additionally, not all of the park's restrooms were open, which was inconvenient when one was needed. Overall: Legoland was a fun time, but there's definitely room for improvement. One day is plenty to see and do everything the park has to offer.

Legoland Florida is our first Legoland experience in the U.S. and second Legoland experience all together (our first and only other Legoland visit beforehand was in Germany when my oldest daughter was about a year old). That being said, our Legoland Florida visit turned out to be an amazing trip overall. Some quick FAQs/tips answered here: - You can bring outside food and beverage (as long as they are already pre-made [do not require heating] and non-alcoholic). - You can bring in a regular back-pack (to carry the things above). - You can bring and use wagons. - If you're into botanical gardens, Legoland has an AMAZING self-paced walk through garden with a majestic Banyan tree (definitely bring walking shoes) - Although both parks are connected, the Legoland Waterpark is a separate admission if you want to use that. - During special events, I advise to check in at King's Market as they usually offer special/exclusive gift bags, as well as the Lego Factory at the entrance - they give out the collector's badges as well. As dabblers in the Lego world (wouldn't consider ourselves avid fans/collectors), my immediate family has always been interested in brick-building. I believe this definitely complimented the ability for us to hype up the trip for the kids. With minimal planning ahead of time (aside from a brief review of the special events [it was Brick-o-Treat during the time we went mid-October], the available rides, and our route from Tampa, I would argue that we had a very successful trip. We arrived prior to opening around 9:20am (with the park opening at 10:00am that particular day in October). Compared to some other parks, the parking lot was available at least 30 minutes prior to opening. They also have overhead protected parking for an additional premium if you are wondering. The park opened exactly at the published time, but we were able to get coffee at the Lego Story food court and peruse around the Lego Store and Factory a bit as we waited for the entry into the park. As I mentioned, we did minimal planning when it came to attacking the rides and shows. Unlike Disney World/Disneyland where you may want to be a bit more strategic when navigating the park, Legoland Florida is a bit more laxed and relatively less packed. There still are wait times as the day progresses, but at the very early hours the rides are pretty much ride at your convenience if you're all about these. We noticed the popular rides that had a significant wait were the Wave Rider and the Coast Guard Academy. Other waits were considerable negligible. Between waits, we split up our family at times and were able to catch some shows as targets of opportunity. My girls had a blast with the interactive Ninjago and Lost Kingdom rides, while thoroughly enjoying the LEGO Movie Masters of Flight. For the most part, we were able to get on every ride we wanted to. We were a bit disappointed that the Battle of Bricksburg was closed for annual maintenance, while Imagination Zone was a bit lackluster. Keep in mind that all the bricks you use and build at the park cannot be taken with you - and if you really want to bring home actual LEGOs, you'll need to purchase these. The best surprise was actually the Cypress Garden, which has minimal relation to the LEGO theme (yes, there is a bit of a hike involved - with the total length of the trails stretching no more than a mile). Overall, we spent the entire day (all the way until 6pm) at the park and thoroughly enjoyed it. I highly recommend Legoland Florida to LEGO enthusiasts of all level!

We love it here! My boys are ages 4 and 6 and it checks all the boxes for entertainment! The first time I went in October during Brickortreat to celebrate my 4 year olds birthday. We went to the original Legoland Park and the waterpark as well. It was so much fun! There were many things for us to do and we overall just had a great time. We didn't even explore the whole park. My boys could spend hours in their Lego room just building things. The second time we went was last week for Christmas Eve And it was amazing! We went to Peppa Pig as well as Legoland and Legoland was the best out of both parks. I'm almost at the point to where I need to get a seasonal pass but due to my work schedule, I don't know how I will do that. Overall, I recommend it to everyone with kids under 10 years old. They will love it!

So we came here with our daughter as she is 22 months old. We got here and it was dead with some rides closed. People were very nice. Their map is not great nor the actual property is labeled well. I wish it was more accurate and I wished they had more rides and or more things for adults too. I understand it's a kids place but have a little more for us as well. Overall, it is ok. Price isn't too crazy.

What an awesome place to visit! Our 7 yr old son and my husband are huge Lego fans! So we surprised our son after he completed his first Disney 5k and took him here to celebrate such a big accomplishment! It was the best surprise! He was so beyond excited! We loved the different worlds they built and just how it made you feel like you were in a Lego set! I will say we were disappointed that the 2 main rides were closed but we ended up buying annual passes since they were so reasonably priced so we can go back! Please keep in mind-you have to go in with the expectation that it is NOT Disney! There are areas with wear and tear.. the staff were all friendly and had their own styles which I thought was interesting that Legoland didn't have specific standards and that their staff can show their own character in how they dress! The food is theme park food-so don't expect anything more. But the designs of certain rides/buildings areas with just Lego everywhere.. that was the real magic! And honestly we could have stayed to do so much more! And the hotel-wow how incredibly fun!! We hope to stay there one day because it just looks like a blast! We can't wait to go back!

This theme park is amazing and really good especially with the younger crowd. This is now our 2nd Legoland we've been to. The kiddo is 7 on this trip (boy). He had a ball. He actually prefers Legoland to any Disney park and that's saying a lot. Pros: - Each part of the park is absolutely adorable. - Found gluten free options including gfree buns at the Kick'n Chicken Co. - You can buy merchandise at any part of the park and they will courier it to the front when you exit. (If you ask and request this. It will take 2 hours minimum for them to courier it to the front. - My kiddos favorite area was Miniland USA. - Absolutely love the interaction on Battle Of Bricksburg - we had a blast with the water guns on land and on the ride - Fav rides: battle of bricksburg, royal joust, coast guard academy - he loved the driving school once again and got a new drivers license Cons: - At some rides, the lines barely move when people are constantly using the Fasstrack Pass. (Ex - Coast Guard Academy) - Took a long time to get to the parking attendant in the morning. We paid for parking in advance. Should be a much quicker option for prepaid attendees. - Granny's Apple Fries literally took over 30 minutes and I was initially 3rd in line. Still delish.

This has to be one of the most relaxed parks I've even been. This was My second time coming and we had a great time. It was cloudy day that turned into a storm so we were given a rain check that we can use in the next year. Overall we had a great time and went to all the rides that were open 2-3 times with no wait.

Legoland is a decent park if you want to stay away from crowds. It's a good park for kids. Love trading mini figures and getting pop badges. Wish they would hire more people and better food options for adults though. :)

Super mid to be honest. I was expecting a bit more but this was a pretty big let down. Some pros: 1) A bit bigger than expected. The botanical gardens really adds a lot to this park, and is a homage to when this used to by Cypress Gardens. Obviously it doesn't really fit the theme but I'm glad they kept this portion of the part. The Banyan tree near the end is REALLY cool! Highly recommend this short walk. 2) The coaster was fun, and although this should be a con, it was broken when we approached, and as we were walking away, they started letting people back in line. We only had to wait about 10-15 minutes. Note it's definitely a extreme "baby" coaster. Our five year old cousin was able to go on it for reference, but it's pretty high for a kid's coaster. 3) Chicken basket, albeit overpriced (to be expected), was pretty good. It was very fresh and the fries were great too. They also have a wide variety of sauces. 4) The fire station attraction was VERY unique and one of the few rides where it cohesively allowed teamwork from both adults and kids. We won this competition with pride (and tired muscles) and our toddler had a blast going on the fire engine and putting out a "fire". Would highly recommend. Now the cons: 1) Theme park looked.. janky. NGL but it's starting to look like the park is at the precipice of bankruptcy. Lots of rides were only operating at half capacity, and a lot of the attractions, like the miniature Lego sculptures, were very dirty and shoddy. 2) Overall rides were pretty short. I know this is supposed to be tailored for the kids, but considering the wait times, I would have hoped the rides to be a bit longer for it to be enjoyable and "worth the wait". 3) Staff also seemed a bit unhappy to be there. Some where a bit rude too - one of the dads in our party side stepped to take a photo of his child and the mom on a boat, and the staff was super annoyed and muttered under his breath. I understand safety and processes need to occur, but they didn't seem properly trained on how to address this situation and to keep the "theme park vibes" in place. 4) Lines were short but the wait was so long. The rides look really inefficient in terms of loading people and moving the riders forward. Sometimes the fast pass line was a bit confusing too, like on the Wave Rider ride (which took FOREVER by the way and I would not recommend). 5) The boat show, which is a very Floridian Lake experience, was horrible. Not because of the performance, but because of the lack of shade. The sun was directly on us, and it didn't help that the sun was reflecting off the lake. The staff kept trying to get people away from the top where many people were standing to try to get some shade. Many people left with their children - we also didn't stay until the very end. Overall - lack of funding and proper user experience is making what could be a very fun children's theme park just not worth it. Tickets were $100 a person! Disney makes so much more sense.. or even Dinosaur World down i-4.

I visited here in May with my adopted and foster son. We had a WONDERFUL TIME! I bought our tickets in advance, including parking. We stayed off property, as it was cheaper and fairly close. We got there two day pass and was there from open to close on both days. Day one, we did the amusement park side and day two, we did the water park side. I chose the days perfectly as it was HOT and no cloud on day 2 and modest weather w/ cloud coverage on day 1. You're able to bring outside food, which we did on day 1 to save money. Day 2, I bought us food inside the park. Some rides can get busy, so i definitely recommend getting there early and going to the busy rides first. I would most definitely come again. It was enjoyable for all of us. We didn't do everything we wanted but the two days were action packed!!

It was truly an amazing and fun-filled experience. This is a legitimate, beautiful and impressive aquarium. They have everything except for the really big aquatic life, and it's all centered around being super kid-friendly and kid-accessible, as Legoland focuses on in all parts of their campus. They have a small section where you can pet starfish and a few other creatures after washing your hands. There are adorable manta rays, multiple breeds of sea horses, jellyfish, small sharks and pufferfish and all the classically recognized fish from the Nemo movie. In each section of the aquarium there are interactive touch screens where you can learn exactly what sea creatures are in each exhibit and read a little more info on them. There's a part where you can walk under and through the exhibit, and plenty of other areas for photo-ops. It's such an adorable and fun adventure "under the sea", and though it's centered around the kids, if you're an adult it's sure to bring out your inner child as well.

It's new, so it's nice, but there's nothing else that special about it. It's definitely an add on if you're already going to Legoland. We planned to go if it rained at Legoland since it's all indoors. When it first started raining we headed over and there was a long line out the door. Everyone else had the same idea. At least the line is covered and where you park strollers is covered as well. We decided to come back. There was no line when we came back. We got in for free with our gold annual passes. The website says it takes about 45 minutes to 1 1/2 hours depending how fast you move. This is accurate. With two boys under the age of 8 they were on the faster side. There are touchscreens where you can read more about the sea creatures that my kids skipped. There's nothing Lego related in here FYI. Just think of it like a small aquarium. There is an area that you can touch sea creatures, but it's pretty small as well. Being that there weren't many people there when we were the smallness of this aquarium didn't really bother me. Overall, I think it's worth it to get out of the sun or rain a bit if you like aquariums, but otherwise this is an exhibit that we will be skipping.

It's small, but has enough things to do to stay the whole day if you want to. We went on a Friday and liked that it wasn't crowded, but enough people and kids for our son to interact with. They have multiple rides, a rollercoaster, an air balloon ride, a boat ride and a dinosaur ride. They have meet and greets/times and we met George, our son was so happy to meet him! The area has a playground, a sand area with buckets, although I recommend to bring some of your own sand toys if your kids love playing with it, ducky pond where kids can catch the ducks with hooks, a bike race area. Our son had so much fun at the bike race area, he spend probably over 30 minutes doing that. There's also a small kids area that's gates, with tents and mini bike ride ons. Then they have a water splash area which is really nice and you can definitely spend quite some time there! They have a shop where we bought our son a peppa pig swim outfit, a cafe that looks like a cool diner inside, we love the colors and style of it! They don't have too many options for allergies, but you can bring your own food which we did for our son. My husband went in and had a pork sandwich, he said it was really good. If you really take your time there, do the rides multiple times ( we did one parent each so we went in multiple times ), do the show and meet a character, ride the bikes, play in the sand, make good use of the splash pad and enjoy a meal, and not rush everything, you can make a whole day out of it. There's enough to do there. For the summer, they have shade coverings around the park, which we really appreciate! We enjoyed our time there and will definitely come again!

Hit the targets and you get sprayed more! Right toward the beginning water pours down onto the boat. There are also water cannons set up alongside of the ride where pedestrians/kids/parents can blast and soak whoever's in the boat!!! There are drying stations at the end of the ride if you want to cough up $5. I prefer to use a towel... By the way the listed wait times on rides at LEGOLAND are highly inaccurate. This particular ride said 60 minutes and we literally walked up and onto the ride.

You get to into the Chima boat which has water cannons on both sides that you pump the roaring handle with one hand and aim with the other. You don't really shoot any objects on the ride but rather can shoot the other boats on the course, people walking by or those who are manning the stationary cannons to shoot the riders. Depending on the angle you are at the mercy of the outside shooters or other boats but than a gain that angle will reverse itself along the course so you can get them soaked! Bring a poncho of you don't want to get soaked. The seats of the boats are usually wet right as you get on so your butt will be wet no matter what.

This is a weirdly fun ride…read more The ride itself seems a little outdated and old, but it's still a ton of fun. I was afraid when we were waiting in line that when we turned the corner there would be more line (like how it works at Disney), but nope, you turn the corner right into the ride itself. That five minute wait really is five minutes. One the ride you are shooting at green targets and if you get it something happens. I really like that, that instead of just points something may move or there's a sound. The shooting isn't very accurate, but I honestly wanted to ride this again just to see what more things would do. I did jump one or two times in fright when something unexpectedly moved, but my five and three year old weren't fazed. Our friends are a family of five and they were able to all sit in a car. This is huge since some of the rides only allowed one adult per child. Overall, I'm a fan and I would ride it again.

If you accurately hit the objects, you'll move the animatronics and special scenes will occur. The wait time wasn't too bad, approximately 5-10 minutes. Legoland didn't have the build station in the middle of the wait queue available, but the ride was super fun! My daughter enjoyed it!

Fun for young kids…read more This is clearly a ride for young kids, think maybe 7 and under. Luckily, that was the age group we came with. What cracks me up is we were standing in line (three adults with four kids, because the fifth kid was too short so she was with her mom) when I saw a sign that said one adult per tower. This is pretty inefficient when you really think about it, because if a child wants to ride with their parent they have to wait for an empty ride. So there's three of us adults determining which one of us is "lucky" enough to ride with the four kids. I ended up volunteering as tribute. You can see there were two empty seats with us since no other kids wanted to join us. It basically just goes up and down a few times. It's not that scary for the kids, but the little ones love it. Since I get motion sickness, this was also great for me. Usually the line is less than 15 minutes, but I definitely wouldn't stick around if it's more than that.

It's not super high and it's not super fast, so even the littles get a kick out of it. It's enough to be fun for the older kids, too. There's a slightly larger seat in the middle of each ride for an adult, if your little one needs you to ride along. It's fun and the line moves quickly. It's located by the other Egypt themed rides just past the carnival games. There's a misting fan right next to it, too, so... bonus!
