Why am I withholding a fifth star? First, the cost for lockers is ludicrous; $16 for the smallest unit, IIRC. Second, a number of the water slides on the play structure were shut down, likely due to insufficient staff. Kind of frustrating for my middle child, who isn't big enough for the giant slides, to see so many of the smaller ones closed. But, he still had a great time. Overall, I recommend the water park, especially if you can find a BOGO deal.

It was fun to try it and it's definitely a nice change from the park on a hot day. My son loved some of the crazy slides. There is a lazy river and lots of Lego water stations the kids can play with. That being said, there are a few downsides: the location is not ideal. It's all the way at the end of the park so you have to walk through Legoland and back when you go. What makes this even more tedious is that there are no towels provided so you have to get all that stuff yourself through the park. The chairs were a bit run down. Only one food booth with limited options and they weren't accommodating at all when I accidentally ordered the wrong fountain drink. I doubt I will come back. The hotel pool is more fun.

The Lego Movie World is pretty cool. If you're a fan of the recent Lego Movies (Lego Movie I/II, Lego Batman etc..), you'll love this area! The area is themed to be correlated to the movies. The Lego Movie World has 3 rides, the Disco Unikitty drop, The Lego Movie Masters of Flight and Battle of Brickbergs. There is also a shop and a few places to eat inside. In the middle of Lego Movie World, there is a play attraction. It was pretty hot the few days we stayed at Legoland, so we decided to opt out of playing in the middle attraction. The Disco Unikitty Drop is a larger version of the Beetle Bounce in Land of Adventure. You sit down on the ride, and it drops you, bring you up on the ride, and down, slowly with some twists. My daughter enjoyed it. We skipped the Battle of Bricksbergs because it was a water ride and had relatively long wait time, over 45 minutes. It looked fun though! It was a boat that you would ride around the obstacle course. You will get soaked though as people whom are watching can use water! On our last day, we had a chance to try out The Masters of Flight. It's very similar to Soarin at Disney's California adventure or Disney's Epcot. You sit on a "couch" and fly through the Lego movie themed areas. It's a fun ride! If you get motion sickness easily, I'd recommend avoiding this ride.

The place is like a zoo but with a lot of opportunities to interact with exotic animals. Everything was well-kept and the staff were very nice and helpful. Did not seem that animals were forced to do anything if they didn't feel like it - just motivated with treats. Probably best time of year to visit if you'll be walking around or going on an airboat is fall or winter due to the heat. Also strongly recommend booking at least one animal encounter! The website says to arrive 45 minutes before each encounter but our experience was that after the first check-in you could arrive just a few minutes before your scheduled time. So don't worry about booking things close together.

We even had the opportunity to go to a passholder preview before the ride actually opened. This ride is so adorable. You board a pirate boat to find Captain Redbeard and his treasure which have disappeared! Turns out Captain Redbeard was cursed by the Monkey Tribe, so we are off on a journey to find his treasure and reverse the curse. The ride is interactive and children are asked to look for clues and count jewels and gold coins along the way. Yay for fun and learning at the same time! My son was 4 when the ride opened and is 6 now and he loves it. He'd definitely in the right age group for the counting and clues. The boat is a real boat, not on tracks or anything and at one point you actually go out into the lake and have to defer to other people out enjoying the lake. This brings me to the downside of the ride. It is not a high volume ride. Each boat can hold 8 people max. They usually seem to have 2-4 boats running, but can only unload and load at 2 slips. It is just not efficient at getting people on and off which means it is almost always an hour wait. The good news is, it is a 20 minute ride, so at least you aren't waiting an hour for a 60 second ride. However, because it is a 20 minute ride in an uncovered boat make sure you are wearing your hats/sunscreen. Overall, a really fun ride. I just wish they found a way to load/unload faster.

The kids were age 8-15. Even the 14 and 15 year old boys had fun for an hour. The youngest was tired after an hour. The ones in between probably could have used the whole 2 hours. They have a trampoline park that is divided into different sections, including a basketball area and a dodgeball area, and various obstacle courses. They also have ropes courses and a climbing wall. The kids were very active running from area to area. We were there on a Friday afternoon, and the place was pretty empty. There was plenty of parking outside, and the place seemed pretty clean. There is a snack bar that includes alcoholic beverages (all day mimosas for $3!). It wasn't outrageously priced, which was nice. Staff was friendly.

Flying School is located towards the end of Legoland Park, next to the Legoland Water park entrance. The ride is slightly hidden, but there is a large entrance signage for Flying School. The ride has several twists, turns, and drops, but it is a relatively quick ride, perhaps less than 30 seconds. This was my daughter and I's first time riding a suspended ride! We had so much fun! The only complaint I had was my head kept bouncing around a lot, hitting the safety harness several times. I tried riding this ride a few times with my daughter and tried to hold the harness differently, hoping that it would stop my head bouncing back and forth, but no luck! The wait time was relatively short, under 5 minutes to get on the ride. You will need to store your bags prior to jumping on the ride.

It's on the path to the water park so keep an eye out for it! It's super quick, as all rides are, but the line moves quickly and everyone has a lot of fun; kids and adults. I believe it's one with a higher height requirement, so be sure to check that first! This ride also has a metal detector before being allowed on. Any extra goodies you're trying to hold on to will be put into a cubby hole while you ride. My kid was scared to ride this one; it took a few legoland visits for her to get up the nerve. After she rode it, she was hooked!!

I was afraid when we were waiting in line that when we turned the corner there would be more line (like how it works at Disney), but nope, you turn the corner right into the ride itself. That five minute wait really is five minutes. One the ride you are shooting at green targets and if you get it something happens. I really like that, that instead of just points something may move or there's a sound. The shooting isn't very accurate, but I honestly wanted to ride this again just to see what more things would do. I did jump one or two times in fright when something unexpectedly moved, but my five and three year old weren't fazed. Our friends are a family of five and they were able to all sit in a car. This is huge since some of the rides only allowed one adult per child. Overall, I'm a fan and I would ride it again.

The charming downtown area contains many restaurants and shops in historic buildings. Today the park still serves as a gathering place for the community. In 2007, Downtown City Park was redesigned to enhance its recreation and beauty for residents and visitors to the city of Auburndale. In the eastern corner of the park is a number of umbrella shaded picnic tables and an engaging playground that is fenced in for safety. The playground area has an artificial turf, cushioning surface to protect little knees and bottoms. The playground has a multilevel tower with climbing structures and two slides. There is also a play train which is a nod to Auburndale's history as a railroad town. Civil engineer Louis Randolph Mclain, who was working for the railroad on the extension of the system between Lake Alfred and Saddle Creek, is credited with founding Auburndale. The historic 1927 Seaboard Air Line Rail Depot is in the northern part of the park. The park also has restrooms and a historic bandstand with a stage for community events like the annual CityFest music festival and other events throughout the year. In the western part of the park is the Rotary Butterfly Garden with butterfly attracting native Florida plants. This well maintained and family friendly park offers a great place to spend time with family. Whether coming for exercise, play, or a special event, this wonderful spot capture the spirit of historic Auburndale.
