While the event space itself is beautiful, my experience with the staff and catering was extremely disappointing. From start to finish, the event staff were unprofessional and rude to my guests. Several guests were told they could only have one plate despite us paying for an open buffet, which caused embarrassment. One catering staff member even pushed my mother and maintained a negative attitude throughout the event. I also became ill after eating the turkey meatballs we ordered. I do not eat beef, yet the food appeared to contain beef, causing severe stomach discomfort for me. Interestingly, my guests did not have any issues, which suggests there may have been a mistake in the preparation. I brought these concerns to the attention of the event coordinator, who I believe is the owner, Carla, but the staff's behavior was excused rather than addressed. Unfortunately, despite the beautiful space, I cannot recommend Grace Event Center due to the unprofessionalism of the staff and catering issues. I would suggest considering other venues to avoid a similar experience.

It was like we met before but we hadn't! The owner, Mrs. Carla and Office Manager, Mrs. Lisa were the greatest in helping me plan my event. The entire Staff was very friendly, courteous and hospitable. The food was delicious, seasoned to taste, and we all had plenty to eat! I had a wonderful time along with all my guests, DJ, and decorator! Look no further when planning a nice event, this is the right place! I recently attended a cocktail party of sorts at this venue. Prior to being invited, I had no clue…read morethis building housed an event room that could accommodate small to mid sized gatherings. Located on the 5th floor, Loft 5900 offers a kitchen, uplighting, slide shows, restrooms in the hallway, sofas, and cocktail style tables. I assume depending on the type of event you're having, depends on the furniture that's provided. We were going through a bit of a heat wave when this event occurred, so it was hot and humid to the ultimate outside. When we entered into the building it was even hotter. Literally no air was circulating in the building or on the elevator. I was a bit worried that the venue was going to be that warm too, but thankfully it wasn't. Not sure if it's like that normally, but I hope that issue gets addressed because it was truly uncomfortable. The venue itself is a cute and intimate space. It does give you the feel of a loft - hardwood floors and a chic flow, but the entryway is a bit dated and only one elevator was working that evening. It's a pretty cool option for a venue/space for an event. I think it would be perfect for a baby shower, wedding shower, cocktail party or something on a smaller scale. I'll put this on my list for future venue options, hopefully it just won't be during a heat wave.

The children were sitting in the back and he asked them to get up and started to pack up the tables and so people started to leave thinking that the event was over and it was only 850. The Photo Booth was shut down at 9 o'clock. This gentleman needs to take a course in management. The behavior of this owner is unacceptable so please be careful when renting this place but if you like attitude, then this might work for you, but for me and my family never again

The social area was good but the bartender ran out of the nonalcoholic specialties as well as clean glasses, therefore had to use our glasses for refills. The soup; chicken corn chowder served with a puff pastry topping was very good and not overly hot where you could jump in and eat. The entree wasn't too desirable but satisfied the hunger. We had the stuffed hen breast, crab cake, mixed vegetables and roasted potatoes. The crab cake was dry and not seasoned served with cocktail sauce which was a no no! It would have been better with a lemon dill or hollandaise sauce. The stuffed hen was dry too and last season. Now I will say our event was delayed due to the weather which could cause food to be dry but the lack of season that was caused by not adding enough. The desserts were pretty good. I had a bite size chocolate mousse ball and small slice of strawberry shortcake, sorry no pictures of the desserts. Overall good experience.
