He didn't use a barrier between my house's wood exterior and the patio install. He splashed concrete on the side of my house and windows and left concrete waste on the side of my house. Horrible experience. So once again, as a follow-up, I am now experiencing another problem with this company's craftsmanship. My patio is now growing mushrooms. That's not supposed to happen. This company has yet to make this situation right. Honestly, a reputable company would have refunded my money so that I could higher someone who knows what they are doing. This is so disappointing.

Stoney Brook started the work, initially, okay but as time went on the work became sub-par and he kept delaying and giving us excuses. By end of January 2024 Stoney Brook had collected from us the full amount, totaling $83,000 and walked away from the job leaving us with a leaking roof and damaged ceiling; plumbing & electric not finished; no siding, No basement access door, and incomplete screened-in porch. The work that was completed as very poorly done. Walls wavy. floors unleveled. Sheetrock horrible. We had to pay other professionals over $25k to finish most of the big items but some we will have to finish on our own because we ran out of money. Very shameful to take advantage of honest people. We are embarrassed that we gave him all that money and trusted that he will do the right thing. Lesson learned.

He is genuine. Provides a detailed line by line quote so you know exactly what is being done, what you are/are not charged for. Estimates are for "worst case" scenarios. He makes himself available to address questions and made me feel valued. He educates clients to be able to make sound decisions on your investment. Amounts are very reasonable for the work described. He allows customers to have buy in throughout the process while providing guidance as needed. Most importantly, we immediately connected, felt like someone we could trust and knew we wanted to work with after our first encounter. Our perspectives were heard, we could collaboratively work together on options to consider. We were not rushed. He never made us feel pushed and did not badger us, interrupt our professional or personal lives and made our vision become a reality. We would definitely recommend their services to our closest friends and family. He is the best construction professional we have had the pleasure to encounter over the last 37 years of home ownership within three distinctly different areas of NYS.
