This club talks a lot about "player development," but our experience showed something very different. Players are told they will have opportunities to train with higher teams and "prove themselves," but those opportunities seem to exist only when the club temporarily needs bodies. Once the regular players return, those same kids are quickly pushed back down without explanation. You cannot ask young players to work harder, chase their dreams, and prove their worth, only to treat them like placeholders when it's convenient. That's not development, that's using young athletes. For our family, joining this club was a mistake. It cost time, energy, commitment, and trust, and none of it felt respected. Parents should ask hard questions before committing here. Lack of focus on player development. Expect to spend upwards of $5,000 per year including tournaments, travel, uniforms and fees. Coaching quality is inconsistent across the board. Don't pay for registration until you have spent time at multiple practices to discover the true quality of coaching ability and how much focus is on player development for the whole team and not just a select few. If your child is great expect them to play a whole game if they are average they'll play maybe 5% of the game. If you want your kid to be yelled at and sat on a bench at 6 years old then by all means sign up! Once you pay there are no refunds even if you don't attend a single practice. Please do not waste your money at legends!!! ITS A SCAM This has been the worst league I have experienced. They paint a different type of league online with statements like, professional training, gatorades at games, practice shirts. It is the complete opposite of that. The first half of the season was a complete mess, they didn't organize the fields in a manner that is easy to navigate. For example they say practice is on field 9a, you go to 9a bc there's a goal post with a sign that says 9a but your practice is in the complete opposite direction. I asked a girl that was dressed as a coach and she said she didn't work there to later found out she was a coach, so the faculty was not helpful. The coach we had, was not motivated, also late, at least 20-30 minutes and didn't extend practice for the time he was late, he didn't stretch the kids, when he wasn't there the kids would have to train with another team and age did not matter, so you had 11u practice with 7u and it was not even practice, they played flag football. The practice shirts were not given until 3 weeks before the season was over, what was the point ???? On two occasions Gatorade and water was not provided, the parking is not included for your guest they have to pay $12 each game at silver lakes, I thought it was such bullshit I told my family to drive right past them so they didn't have to pay, which they did. I asked for a refund but was told that they provided everything they mentioned on their website, I sucked it up and finished the season. But honestly Fuck Legends, they are trash !!!!!! When we complained about the coach we were told that one of us would have to coach or wait till they found some one, again NO professional training. The coaches are fkn teens from their higher teams who could give two shits about practice and games. They had an end of the season pizza party where the kids were only allowed 2 slices of pizza and a water that was literally all they had and 3 bouncers, I could have saved my time and gas and made food at home. Technical Tuesdays are just like a regular fkn practice there's not technicality about it, the same teens coaching. The team pictures that they offer are also trash, you get the people watching soccer games in the background along with all sorts of umbrellas lmfaoooo Kassi the coordinator or idk what she is, drives around in her golf cart with her kids ... real professional. There's no SUBS - even after kassi promised to take people off of some imaginary wait list lol I'm glad this season is over and I don't have to deal with such a bullshit establishment, PLEASE SAVE YOUR MONEY - ITS A SCAM! read more

All about the $$$$$$$$ and NO personal development. Parents that stay are entrenched- win lose or draw. More of a drinking and cocktail club than U-12 team. Not a lot of fun and you travel for the sake of traveling, paying tournament and club fees, no matter how bad your team is. Legends fields we practiced on were not really fields but park space or not regulation sized parks. Stay local, stay away from Legends. read more

What a difference time makes! Despite having a losing season, the team stuck it out and there is now a new coach! Here is why we updated our original review. My husband is a varsity coach and is Cal South certified so he knows a thing or two about coaching and putting together a roster. What we like about this club: They are SELECTIVE about their players! One of the most important things these club coaches are paid $$ for is to weed out the players. This club does not make it a habit to put players on the team who just came over from AYSO. Why is that important? Because no matter how good a player is coming in from AYSO, even the competitive league, they've beenb picking up bad habits by not playing up to club par. Our girls are 12 years old and have been playing club since they were 7 years old. All the rest of the girls on the higher level teams have also been playing club level. These coaches know better than to put a player on the team who has been playing all those years under rec rules. It may seem harsh, but it's a reality. If you want your child to be on a quality team with other players who will compliment them and who bring club level skills to the pitch, this is the right club!! AYSO players don't belong on a top tier club team, no matter how "good" they seem. I respect the fact that this club recognizes that! Keep up the good work!! read more

I personally can't stand legends.it is nothing more then a money racket.its incredibly expensive.you only get to practice on a half of field.you are forced to spend more on mandatory fundraisers for the club.i cant wait to be done with this season.super shady club.they have you sign contracts before you know how much it is for the year to play.they take credit for girls who have gone on to do big things..this is not your accolade legends.if a girl goes to a d 1 school for soccer its because of her hard work and determination..it has nothing to do with your club..i would NEVER reccomend somone to this club. read more

My experience with Legends FC has not been a good one. My daughters first year in the league has been sad. The coach rarely shows up to any of the games leaving the team manager to coach. Or we get a replacement who runs in 10 mins into the game. For the amount of money we pay these coaches should have more initiative to show up. Also they shouldn't allow coaches to have so many teams it takes away from the other teams he may have. The coach will always favor the better one. With that being said my daughter will not be back due to the bad experiences one coach has caused. After many complaints other parents have made about this coach nothing has been done. This league will continue to lose great players! read more

Expensive soccer club. They want you to pay a year worth of fees pretty much upfront. They give you three months to pay around $1,200-$2,000 for about 11 months worth of soccer training. I wish I was paid a year of my salary upfront. They are off 4 weeks during the winter (why are you paying a club for not giving you training). Pretty much bait and switch if you are a new player, they promise one thing and give you another. Happened with several kids. A lot of favoritism in this club, watch out for teams that have a coach/ director's son in there because they will get a lot of playing time. The training itself is so-so at best. They also want you to give your time and volunteer for the club, something like 10 hours per year. And if you can't volunteer, they charge you $25 for each time you can't volunteer. read more

Been involved in club soccer for 16 years. I have five kids with 4 of them playing club soccer. My kids have played for legends golden state rangers stampede and cosmos. We started at stampede and then it changed to legends. For 16 years I have had at least 1 kid playing for legends. We left legends 2 times coming back one time. Currently I have 2 girls who play for legends. One who left to rangers and came back and one who has been on legends since she was 9 years old. She is now 16 and plays academy and is committed to arizona. My other daughter is an 00 and just committed to west virginia state university. My son left legends to go play for the rangers. He went up to washington to play soccer in college. My son left because he went to a much better team. My daughter left because she was not getting enough playing time and I chose to leave and take her to rangers with my son. 2 years later I brought her back to legends a better player and more confident in her ability. What I am saying is there is always going to be issues with the team they are on. You as a parent needs to decide what's best for your child. Take them to a better team in the club or outside the club. Not enough playing.. do you go down a level? Do you leave? It is your decision to make. Legends has always been fair to my kids. Obviously the coaching is excellent with high expectations. I have 3 kids who have had their education paid for and I like to think legends prepared them for soccer in college. Someone said legends is like family...it really is. I love the coaches that they have had. They do care about what happens to my kids in and out of soccer... and as families go maybe I don't agree with everything but they really do have my child's best interest. And as a parent we don't realize that until later on.... anyways....Great Program and I am extremely happy to be involved with them for 16 years! read more

Our experience was with Legends East Riverside. Our time there was a waste of time and money. Our daughter was on the 07 girls team and hated every minute of it. This club was mostly about their brand & appearances. Her coach didn't focus on developing them as players. Instead, he would berate them for not winning when there was little guidance on his part to help them win. Instead, he'd sit on a soccer ball and leave them to their own devices and occasionally throw in a few words of input. He told all parents he isn't obligated to play any player and that even if players left, he would always have a "job." Essentially, he looked at his players as $$ in Legends pocket book, instead of young girls aspiring to become great athletes. Eventually, I had to pull my daughter out before the season started, because I knew it would become a waste of our time. She is now on a local Club team that focuses on developing players, fostering team work, & is with a coach who treats his kids with respect and we couldn't be happier. I'd advise anyone considering paying $2k to this club to run as fast as you can & to find another club. read more
