I would leave negative stars if I could. The coach, who has never met me, was absolutely disgustingly rude. He screamed at his team which i would never consider someone that should be kids. And he threatened refs to get his way. HHe is a nasty, disrexpectdisrexpectful coach tthat has no sort of mood control or self control. I would never consider him being in charge of my children. When would destroy their self esteem....

What a difference time makes! Despite having a losing season, the team stuck it out and there is now a new coach! Here is why we updated our original review. My husband is a varsity coach and is Cal South certified so he knows a thing or two about coaching and putting together a roster. What we like about this club: They are SELECTIVE about their players! One of the most important things these club coaches are paid $$ for is to weed out the players. This club does not make it a habit to put players on the team who just came over from AYSO. Why is that important? Because no matter how good a player is coming in from AYSO, even the competitive league, they've beenb picking up bad habits by not playing up to club par. Our girls are 12 years old and have been playing club since they were 7 years old. All the rest of the girls on the higher level teams have also been playing club level. These coaches know better than to put a player on the team who has been playing all those years under rec rules. It may seem harsh, but it's a reality. If you want your child to be on a quality team with other players who will compliment them and who bring club level skills to the pitch, this is the right club!! AYSO players don't belong on a top tier club team, no matter how "good" they seem. I respect the fact that this club recognizes that! Keep up the good work!!

Poorly run....it's a money making machine. No interest in improving children skills.

I'm not a parent at the academy, but I know Jessie personally. But I played soccer at a high level…read moremyself (academy in Europe), so I've been around a lot of coaches, and I can say without exaggeration that Jessie is in a different category. There's a reason people at the club call him Pep. What makes him special isn't just his soccer IQ, though that's elite. It's that he actually cares about the kids he works with. He reads people fast, knows when to push and when to back off, and has this way of making a kid believe in themselves without inflating their ego. That's a rare skill. Most coaches can teach a drill. Very few can develop a player and a person at the same time. Jessie does both. Beyond the field, he's one of the most genuine, hardworking people I've come across. If I had a kid and lived in the area, he'd be training with Jessie. That's the highest endorsement I can give

Not good. Do not sign any long term contract unless you feel 100% confident this is what you want…read more We initially did a try out with Coach Jessie. He told us to come at 5pm. We get there and see there are a bunch of little kids. We expressed to him that he doesn't want to train with kids much younger than him because it's just me not beneficial for him. The intensity level is so much lower. He said ok,come back at 6 then and you can train with the older kids. So we did that and my son absolutely loved it because he was challenged. I was actually looking for 1 on 1 training for my son. Coach Jessie only does group training.. I was hesitant and wanted to try out some other coaches first but my son really had a good experience with the older kids. I made the mistake of signing a contract. After signing this contract, within 2 weeks Jessie regrouped the kids. My son grouped with the younger kids, something we expressed to Jessie that we didn't want during the tryout. I was disappointed, my son was disappointed. I felt absolutely betrayed.. However, there were still a few kids his age and some of the younger kids were very skilled. So I was disappointed, but convinced myself that it might be okay. Then next week came and now those skilled kids are gone. My son, who is 11 , about to turn 12, is practicing with kids much younger than him. They are basically beginners. He is absolutely bored. The practice was a fraction of the intensity of what he was getting with his club so he was receiving absolutely zero benefits. I was very frustrated and after this session informed Jessie that I wanted to cancel after this month. Turns out, I cannot. I am locked in for 6 months. He acted surprised when I wanted to cancel. Throwing it back at me for not communicating my displeasure Yet, I did communicate. It is he who showed us one thing during tryouts, then completely changed things on us after we signed up. I expressed to him that my son needs help on the offensive end. He needs training on one on one skills. We are not getting this. What he is getting is similar to the training he already receives with his club . is Jessie's program bad? No. It really depends on your situation. If your kid is in AYSO, then this could be very beneficial to you. If your kid is in a club that has good coaches, then you will not gain much. However, every kid is different. Your child may be benefit. My advice is DO NOT sign any contract too soon. Make absolutely sure this is what you want. He will try to convince you he can help you. I will give him the benefit of the doubt and assume this is honest, BUT absolutely wait and see before signing that contract. I would absolutely not sign a long term contract. You don't want to make the mistake that I made and be stuck with 6 months of something you don't want. To be fair, after I asked to cancel, he offered to move my son back to the older group. However, he did throw it back at me for not communicating my unhappiness when I did communicate to him before we signed. He is the one who made the change on us after we signed the contract and ignored our communication to him about what we wanted, then acted surprised when I was unhappy.

Staff & refs are, for the most part, friendly & easy to work with. Low stars due to the fact that…read morethe facility seems to get absolutely no money put back into it to keep it up to date. Almost every single field is missing the top nets & some are even ripped on the sides. This creates an unsafe environment as some fields are along a very busy street & balls have been kicked out onto the street. Or onto the neighboring field interrupting another game. These incidents are happening literally every few minutes. Bathrooms are barely holding up. The soap dispensers are broken. Only one sink works & the water sprays everywhere. And they never have toilet seat covers. And now let's talk about the horrible parking situation. Absolutely no one is monitoring it. People always double park at the entrance, even when there is plenty of parking. They just do it to be a lazy a hole. This creates a jam if cars are trying to get in while others are leaving. Because the driveway is narrow. When the lot is full, they have a dirt field that is not maintained. There's always big, tall weeds growing so people will just park any which way to avoid it. And since there is no markers or painted lines to mark spaces, people don't use common sense & I've seen people just park in a way that will completely block the only way out for an entire row of about 15 or so cars. I think they collect more than enough fees to at least maintain the fields if nothing else. Please do better!

It was a very amazing experience.the staff are very friendly and help. Every thing is very clean.read more

We've had a great experience with SoCal Elite Soccer Club. I currently have two boys playing with…read morethe club, and it has been nothing but positive for our family. The coaches are supportive, knowledgeable, and truly care about the development of the players both on and off the field. The training environment is competitive but also encouraging, which has helped my boys grow in their skills, confidence, and love for the game. Communication from the club has been clear, and the overall organization has been great. Most importantly, my kids are happy, motivated, and excited to go to practice and games. We're very grateful to be part of such a positive soccer community and look forward to many more seasons with the club!

First off, the times of the practice and where the practice was held was constantly changing, making scheduling difficult. This also applied to games. We missed tournaments due to being banned (SocalFC) which I never knew. Second, they nickel and dime you for every single thing. The also made us sell raffle tickets (which is fine) but they gave us 6 days to sell the whole thing or threatened to be kicked out of the club. Furthermore, they never announced the winners of the raffle which is extremely shady... nobody got a link to the LIVE youtube drawings that were said to take place. I don't like when coaches play favorites, which happened every time game or practice. My son became a favorite, after half the season and he finally gave him playing time and saw his potential, however, I was already jaded from seeing the same thing every game. We lost almost every game, which sucked too. I felt bad for the kids. Bottom line, overpriced, unorganized and weak.
