This company fixed the screech--and somehow returned the dryer with NO HEAT. That was only the beginning. They missed the first appointment without calling. When I called them, I got an "Oops, I forgot to call you." Their repair person was on "sick leave," so they took the dryer to their shop, said they fixed a bad bearing, returned it, demanded cash, and provided no receipt. The very first time I used it afterward: no heat. They then promised to fit me in the next day on Saturday. No call, no show. I called them and she acted like we hadn't spoken the previous day. "Sorry, it's too late in the day, can't fit you in." We rescheduled for Tuesday from 10-noon. Again: no call, no show. When I called after 1:00, I got another "Oops"--apparently they had put me on the wrong day. At my insistence, their one and only technician came out and spent nearly two hours taking the dryer completely apart. When he put it back together, the front panel wasn't properly aligned. Then he apparently decided the repair was complete by simply leaving. I stepped out of the room and when I came back, I found the dryer running and the technician gone. No explanation. No goodbye. Nothing. I immediately opened the dryer to check it. STILL NO HEAT. I happened to catch him before he drove away and told him it wasn't heating. He said nothing and left. The next morning, I was told he claimed it was heating when he left. No, it wasn't. I checked it immediately after he walked out. Either he didn't actually verify his work, or his version of events is very different from reality. So this company took a dryer that heated but squealed, and gave me back a dryer that no longer squeals BUT IT DOESN'T HEAT. Multiple missed appointments. Multiple "oops" excuses. Cash only. No receipt. Poor reassembly. And a technician who tried to leave without even speaking to me. I've already hired someone else. I would not use this company again if THEY paid ME.

Like most people, I had never heard of Riccar but was instantly pleased to see the American​ flag proudly​ displayed on ​the front of every vacuum. American quality and craftsmanship felt evident, especially compared to the Dyson​ plastic toy I was used to pushing around... over the same spots, over and over and over again. Hugely pregnant at the time I was very grateful to be escorted to my car and have my new vacuum and accessories loaded in and a hug to seal the deal. Seriously, it felt like I bought a vacuum from the cool family friend ​you always introduce as your uncle (because you want to not because they insist you do) but he's not really your uncle. Part of my purchase was that my 1st year cleaning was free. That year went pretty quick with 2 under 2 and you can only imagine the messes that vacuum has seen... and you can only imagine​ the condition of this poor workhorse of a machine at its​ 1st year checkup. I don't mean to open a pity party at all, but I, like most moms I know, are exhausted, and just feel plain wore out. Being honest, taking the vacuum in for a checkup​ was just one more thing that got piled onto my neverending, perpetually growing laundry list of stuff I have to do and I wasn't 'excited' about it. When I arrived at Nevada Vacuum and took in my absolutely filthy​ vacuum (which turned out to have a BLOWN bag which spilled all over their​ table and floor when they opened it to check it out)... they made me feel like a queen. That sounds overdone and cliched but I did. I felt like I was the most important person in their​ world at that moment and my happiness was their ​priority​. Despite my being mortified​ that my house's dirt was now all over their​ shop, they made me feel amazing. I seriously felt a perk in my step. The day felt not as heavy and I got a burst of energy. It was the most pleasant thing I have done from my Holy-Crap-I'm-An-Adult-With-2-Tiny-Humans-To-Do list in a very long time. Vacuuming is an essential reality for most of us. And having a vacuum that works and does it right is hugely important, especially if you shell out hundreds of dollars for machines- they need to work. The vacuum they sold me is great; it does the job and works hard. But the human element of Nevada Vacuum is what I appreciate​ the most. Those guys didn't end at the sale a year ago. In fact,​ they worked just as hard if not harder to make me happy at my cleaning checkup even when no money was involved. They created happiness and I can honestly say they earned my loyalty. I will never go to another shop for anything if Nevada Vacuum can do it. The first appointment did not yield a solution to the problem with the Frigidaire side by side refrigerator because he could not test the sensors unless the unit had been plugged in for a couple days. When he returned two days later, he tested the sensors and found nothing wrong. This unit has a design flaw that allows water to spill over the "U" shaped fill tube into the ice maker. Once the unit was allowed to thaw, the ice build up went away and so did the noise. He only charged me for one service call. I think Servando is a welcome addition to the appliance repair field and he is my first call from now on. He is honest, knowledgeable, and prompt!
