Absolutely loved the location on the course and the layout of the course. Very challenging based on the tee that you play. I thought the tee boxes and fairways and tree lines were very well kept. However. Greens were either being reseeded or repaired or damaged or all of the above. Five or six of the greens were absolutely horrendous. I've played on horrible greens like Millrose, and some in my playing career even worse than that. The sand on the greens was so loose and thick. It was as if you're laying on a beach. The number 18 hole was absolutely comical. Thought it was a little overpriced for that experience. I would get recent reviews to get the condition of the greens. Good luck. read more

I liked it! Felt down home and reminded me of the course I played as a kid. Not uppity, at all. If you desire fancy, this isn't for you, but if you like a friendly country course it's great. Course has beautiful trees and homes all around it. read more

Lady in the proshop was nice . This golf course is a great layout and used to be in fair shape, sad to see where it is now. Most every green on the golf course is dead and consist of sand and dirt / dry patchey chunks in the greens . They must have never covered the greens during some of the freezing weather we had . Fairways are the first cut , no way you can play it down out here and have fun . The day I played was very busy and who seemed like the superintendent comes strolling along in his golf cart around 1:30 pm hauling a trailer with a sprayer so he can dye the greens (if you dare calm them greens) wearing a gas mask and I kid you not driving over the greens with the golf cart as he is spraying mid day with the course packed out. Again this place is a hell of a layout and because of Nostalgia i had a good time. but it goes to show you what happens when you have leadership that doesn't care about the place . I know they are in need of money but when you let the greens die you are screwed and even with proper funding you still need a community and staff that wants to see it grow . read more

I don't ever want to denigrate a business attempt to stay open. That's not my goal with this review. Years ago, this course was in better shape than it is today. The tee boxes are not maintained. You may get lucky and find a patch of grass to sink your tee into. The fairways are terrible. They are mostly sand and dirt. The greens are basically painted sand. The last round I played here May be the last round I play here. For $50 a round, you may be better off searching elsewhere and paying a few bucks more for a better experience. read more

The course was okay when we were there a couple of days ago. It wasn't mind-blowing but it wasn't the greatest we've ever hit on either. There's grass on the fairway. Greens are a little slow, but pace of play was good. read more

Tried playing here again and it's even worse than before. Completely unplayable. Not a single green was well maintained. They have craters and charred spots everywhere and nearly zero grass on them. All sand and pebbles on every "green" and tee box. If I could report fraud for charging to golf on this place, I would. It's shocking that not every player doesn't go into the club house demanding a refund. read more

Played here last week and the greens have turned brown. The maintenance crew was ahead of us and sanding the greens down and evening out the sand with carpet. Upon arrival I went into the "pro shop" to pay the fee. The lady was nice enough, but the appearance of the entire facilities is poor to say the least. I'm sure at some point in time this was a very nice place, it's sad to see the current state. The golf carts are relatively new and in good condition, so that's nice. The tee box was well used and in decent condition along with the fairways. The greens are just bad, sandy and just made the game less enjoyable. There are trees down around the course and too much tall grass. Overall course layout is good, but it could be better if attention to service, course maintenance and overall facility upkeep was addressed. read more

The course has good bones and really could've been something if they had taken better care of it. Pretty dilapidated in almost every way. The driving range is connected to a church, which is kind of cool and kind of creepy. The carts are bad, the staff is rude, the grounds aren't properly mowed and the greens were bad too. We had a rain delay and the woman working the clubhouse snapped on someone for asking for a rain check. They were doing anything they could to avoid giving you a rain check. There are much better courses at this price range. They clearly do not care anymore. read more

Waste of money here. I got a hot deal on Golf Now but there was no value because the course was in such bad condition. The gnats and mosquitoes were unbearable. The greens were terrible, most of them did not have grass. The layout is good but the owners have really let this place go. It's a shame because it could be a great place. read more

If I could leave 0 stars I would, 1 is a little too generous. Paid $36 to watch my ball hit about 36 bumps on each green, if I can even call them greens. Completely unplayable. I understand I am not paying to play Augusta National, but I seriously wouldn't pay 5 bucks to play this joke of an establishment again. I came here today and was immediately greeted by the sweetest Kristen (not sure of her spelling) man you ought to be proud to have this young lady working here she is so kind and sweet and made me feel so welcomed! I know I should be talking more about the course but every single employee we encountered was sooo nice and I felt it needed to be said ! The course was nice ! It was fun to play but some of the greens need a little more work. They make for a rough putt -there were a few nice ones but many need to be fixed. I'll be back! Your employees made this an enjoyable course so there is no question I'll come back! Just get those greens fixed up!! read more

I would pick 0 stars if it was an option. Nearly $60 to play a course with $6. Almost every green had less grass than holes/sand/dirt patches. Fairways looked worse than the grass in my backyard, somehow I think the best grass on the course was on the few temporary fairway greens they had, (which we weren't informed of). Employees were inappropriately dressed, but were kind. Felt like camp counselors threw together a golf course in a cattle pasture for a bunch of 10 year olds. Hopefully they get it together, but I'm not sure that'll happen considering its been in this shape for months now. Save your money and don't waste your time coming here unless you're in high school and just need a spot to drink with your buddies. On a positive note the ham sandwich was gas. read more

Had no idea I would be golfing that day. That's always a pleasant surprise. A bad day on the course beats a good day a whole lotta other places. Me and 1 friend..(he plays there often) had a nice relaxing round of golf. Played the whole 18 and had a great time. Staff seems very friendly, and most importantly course was nice. I try not to look at other reviews...remember, you're not paying $275 for a round so don't pretend that you are. Course has 3's, 4's, and enough 5's to make it a good clean fun nice round. I know that it must be lack of money, but it is so sad when a really good layout is in such horrible condition. The tee boxes are mostly weeds or bare. a few of the fairways are OK but mostly Weed covered. The sand traps have little sand or weeds. And the greens are thick and barely mowed . No Cart/Cart Girl on a Saturday in HOT AS HELL TEXAS! only drinks and food to be had are in the club house to which you have to wait 45 minutes minimum for hotdogs, etc. The owner doesn't seem to care either, at least not by his own actions in conversations. read more

This place is an absolute dump. The owner is a coward and Macy in the pro shop is an ass. 2 carts died during the round and we didn't get to finish as a result. Owner wouldn't even talk to me about a refund and he told me not to come back. Not to mention he can't even keep his course in decent shape. Greens are dead and fairways and tee boxes are just weeds. I come here quite a bit and it's usually pretty rough and the greens are usually too bumpy to have any fun but ever since summer started they have been pretty awesome! Came today and the staff was amazing and so was the course. Of course there is always room for improvement but I definitely think they have came a long way from where they were the last two years. The greens are actually smooth and green and the fairways are decent. If you're thinking about giving This course a try this summer I definitely say do it but bring some water cus the trees aren't abundant like other courses and this Texas heat will kill you!! Late tee times, ran out of golf carts. People asking for their money back. Finally made it on the green and the party in front of us had 9 Idiots driving around drunk throwing beer cans all Over the green and taking the flags. Called the office but nothing was done about it. Ended up leaving the game at the 10th hole ( first time ever leaving a game). Complete waste of time, unorganized and trashy. All I can say is WOW! This could possibly be the worst round of golf ever. The conditions of the course were poor. Obviously no budget for maintenance. It appeared that whatever funds were available, they had been spent on a basic renovation to the clubhouse bar. On a Saturday, with a mid morning tee time, the ranger was pushing a group through everyone with no where to go. He knew the people in the group and held other groups back to let them play through regardless of the fact that all it did was slow down play. Saturday in Texas, no beverage cart, hospitality was non existent. No food ready on the turn, not even hot dogs. It seemed like it is a club for an owner to have his friends at, and not really care about quality of play or enjoyment for people paying daily greens fees. They had their own coolers and had brought "refreshments" with them. Needless to say, we will not be back. read more

Location was pretty far away from Houston area. One of the house owner(near hole 10) will yell at you if you try to pickup your golf ball near his house. He will keep staring at you the whole time you are visible. 1 star for this reason. Low quality course for low price. read more

The girls in the pro shop were disrespectful. They were goofing around and not attending their customers. We were wanting to come back seeing that the last time we were here was before Covid-19. It was really nice then with a lot of people playing. This time, it was horrible. Not only were the greens dead, but the bunkers were non playable, the tee boxes and fairways were full of weeds. It not only affected our vision of the course it also affected our game and performance. Even though water jugs were available along the paths, not all of them had cups and there was no one driving around in the beverage cart. The cafe food was not good and very limited. read more

Course is running some green fee specials, so can't complain about the price, and really like the new carts. However, the course conditions are pretty bad at the moment. Tee boxes were rough and many of the greens were in very lousy shape, sometimes putting on essentially dirt/sand. I really enjoy playing this course w friends- houses don't come into play, inexpensive round and always have some inexpensive balls to buy in the pro shop- can zip through an 18 fairly quickly..... this isn't a private club where there are dues that help keep it up, but I was pleasantly surprised at how well the greens and fairways were kept being a public course that is cost effective! Going to a $100 a round course that's jamb packed with people and houses all over vs this course is a no brainer for me and my buddies.... maybe I shouldn't post this though so it stays a secret!! I was uncertain about going to this course as I had read other reviews. For the cost this is a fine course. The Marshall was so kind and friendly and helpful. The pro shop attendant was also very helpful. It is not a "pro" course but your not paying for that either. We enjoyed our round very much even though it was 100 degrees. Gotta love Texas. read more

Went there in December so it was kind if unfair to judge. The price is definitely right at $29. The whole place could use some TLC though.

Covered in gnats from head to toe on every hole. Management must know, but have done nothing. Same bug issue every year
