Great place to go I liked the wide selection and how organized it was. It made finding what I needed so easy.

So I haven't played magic since like 2014. So I'm pretty much new all over again. I told the guy running the store that over the phone before coming out there, told him I was looking to get back into my old hobby again. He said he would help me put a deck together. I got there with somewhat of an idea of what I wanted but even 50% sure entirely because I haven't done much research. I wanted to lean on someone that knew what they were doing. We pulled a mono white and mono red deck. He didn't have exactly everything for either, which is ok. But I still wasn't 100%. I asked him if I could sit down and research some decks. Her said sure. I finally found a deck I thought I would enjoy and asked him if he had the cards. He then told me, "I've already pulled two decks for you, if I pull this one can you please purchase it". He pulls what he had and then I paid. I then asked for 4 more cards to add to the deck and he said, "Yeah but this is it because I got other customers". There was one other guy in the store and wasn't in a hurry. And he only came in at the end of the third deck Pull so it's not like he was waiting a long time. He later admitted to being frustrated but then told me there was no refunds. So I'm now out 200$ because that experience just turned me off of getting back into playing magic. read more

You shouldn't be able to refuse to sell something if it was seemingly available to purchase. You should not be able to as well not sell it to me because "you meant to put it aside". I have been a loyal customer. I have been coming here for literal years. I wanted the product, it seemed to be available. I had it in my posession to purchase. So, you should have sold it. But I digress, just wont be shopping here because of bad business practices. High Prices, Low Ball trades, the owners wife is horribly rude, the elitist attitude in most gaming settings is prominent. I would not recommend this place anymore to anyone. Customer service is lacking. read more

This is a great local store to stop in and pick up some great games and expansion packs for all the games you love. The folks who work there and very friendly and knowledgeable. Thanks to their recommendation we now play Killer Bunnies in addition to Munchkin. And they have those cool D and D dice that my husband loves. Definitely worth a visit. read more

TLDR: Horrible store, much better options around. Hands down the worst experience I've ever had with a Magic shop. The one thing that I can say is nice about the store is it is extremely organized. From there it is all downhill. If you are looking for any old cards they have plenty and are impressively sorted based on set, rarity, and color. They are most likely able to maintain such an impressive level of organization due to their lack of customers. No players in sight for card games or tabletop RPGs that would be found in a typical store. My first experience with this store really came to a head after I had decided that I did not want some of the cards I had selected after seeing the price. I, like many others, am on a budget and as a college student, I try to limit my spending on hobbies. Anyways, after seeing the total I asked to just get a portion of the cards and was informed by the worker who I can assume to be the owner that they "did not like it when people make them work and then don't buy everything they've asked for." Keep in mind here that I was still trying to purchase some of the cards just not ALL of the cards after the final total (which was undersold while everything was in the process of being counted up) had been established. After reaffirming that I was only interested in purchasing some of the cards I was told to "not buy cards here again," which is kind of misleading because I wasn't even allowed to purchase the cards which I did want. Let me restate how this was my FIRST EVER time in this shop and after asking to purchase some cards I had picked out and not some others I was effectively asked to leave and not return. I understand that this is all in text and I clearly had a negative experience so there is reasonable doubt that I was either more hostile or they were less hostile that I have made it out to be but I will say with complete honesty I was in no way aggressive or rude I had simply changed my mind on the contents of my purchase and it was, apparently, extremely poorly received. It isn't like I had done similar things before and was some sort of repeated offender, this was my very first time in this shop and I always attempt to support local businesses (especially an LGS because WOTC has been making their lives more and more difficult) but after only wanting to purchase a portion of the cards I had picked out I was asked to leave and not return, no problem. If you're in the Lexington area and are looking for either a place to play Magic, Yugioh, or whatever have you that an LGS typically would house there is a much better store that is only 4 miles away. I won't include the store's name because this review isn't a hit piece to try and steal business, it's a warning to anyone thinking of doing business with these people. I will say the woman I dealt with upon first arriving was very kind and helpful but she is unfortunately only there for the morning shift and had she not have to leave halfway through our transaction I'm fairly certain everything would have gone completely smoothly. However, this was not the case and the *insert obscenity here* of an owner was extremely pushy, uninviting, and rude which made me never want to come back without having to be asked. I would recommend steering clear of this shop and letting it fall into the 50% of game stores that fail because with an owner like that this one certainly deserves it and it is only a matter of time. read more

I've been to this store a bunch of times since I moved here. They advertise a lot of events but most never get enough people to fire. I went for some of their Black Friday sale, but by 1 there wasn't anything left that isn't over priced. They do have singles but they charge sometimes double online prices. I can wait 6 days for delivery for that savings. They do best at magic. Other stuff is hit or miss if they have it. read more
