In need of some dice, found D20.. figured we'd give it a whirl... Cute shop... lots of Funko Pops, some Board and Card Games, decent dice selection... Magic Cards at the register... HUGE space in the back for game nights... Seemed promising... But, when we got out to the car and checked our receipt, hubby realized we'd been overcharged on the dice by nearly $2. We got a great deal on our cards, but... wtf? Things like that will make the Mr. swear off a place for good so, guess we're still on the hunt for a game shop... (le sigh)

The shelves of older GN's are cover price--no markup on old stuff so it's a good way to find old odds and ends. They're not a huge spot, but the owner is very attentive without being overbearing and is willing to work with you a bit on price, too for some items like back issues where the upfront investment is smaller--just be reasonable with your asks. I'm not a new comics reader but I encourage anyone who is to establish your pull folder here and help these guys' cash flow as much as possible, we need them to hang around in Lex!

So I haven't played magic since like 2014. So I'm pretty much new all over again. I told the guy…read morerunning the store that over the phone before coming out there, told him I was looking to get back into my old hobby again. He said he would help me put a deck together. I got there with somewhat of an idea of what I wanted but even 50% sure entirely because I haven't done much research. I wanted to lean on someone that knew what they were doing. We pulled a mono white and mono red deck. He didn't have exactly everything for either, which is ok. But I still wasn't 100%. I asked him if I could sit down and research some decks. Her said sure. I finally found a deck I thought I would enjoy and asked him if he had the cards. He then told me, "I've already pulled two decks for you, if I pull this one can you please purchase it". He pulls what he had and then I paid. I then asked for 4 more cards to add to the deck and he said, "Yeah but this is it because I got other customers". There was one other guy in the store and wasn't in a hurry. And he only came in at the end of the third deck Pull so it's not like he was waiting a long time. He later admitted to being frustrated but then told me there was no refunds. So I'm now out 200$ because that experience just turned me off of getting back into playing magic.

The manager plugged it in to the TV for testing purposes, and he literally spent 30 minutes of his time just to accommodate to us and get $7. I don't know if you understand business, but that's called accommodating to customers and being a dedicated store owner! The shop is filled to the brim with great games for even a little less than eBay prices. Literally floor to ceiling, every room in what appeared to be an old converted house, was packed with books of all genres while maintaining a clean and well organized environment. While I was just browsing, I'm sure they had anything you may desire. From standard used books they also had more collectible editions, great for not only adding to your own but also gifting. There was even some seating available in some of the rooms so one could even take a little break from perusing. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, able to navigate the vast collection with ease. Books were all priced fairly as well. Highly recommend and will definitely be returning.

I was able to find some jazz and soundtracks that I have been searching for over the years. and the girl behind the counter was friendly. P.S.
