This one is my least favorite. Compared to the others, this one is a bit more over priced. Even the sale items seem a bit steep. I did buy a bracelet and a necklace here once though. The necklace charm was shaped like the state. The bracelet was locally handmade and I still love it. My sister-in-law and I often shop in the downtown area, because there are several great boutiques. (There are also great restaurants in the area, so you should definitely check it out!) Recently she told me a new shop had happened, and she took me to Meraki and Moon. I was instantly in love! This shop offers art, home decor, clothing, jewelry, bath salts, crystals, accessories, wine, and so so so much more! We ended up purchasing several items, and we were both so happy with our purchases that we can't wait to go back! Plus, they offer classes and hands on art experiences, and you can purchase wine by the bottle or glass and enjoy it while in a class or while shopping! And, on top of all of that, the shop owners and employees are awesome! You can read about their story on their website, and in person they are so friendly and helpful. I really enjoyed meeting them and talking with them during our visit. This is the perfect shop to check out for yourself, or for gifts. We had not been to Arts Place and had not heard of the Red Barn Radio but I am glad a friend…read moreinvited us last night. We saw the Red Barn radio show and it was fantastic! The artist was a award-winning Instrumentalist. The shows are on Wednesday nights at 7 pm and just cost $10. My husband and I are are sad that we have not known of this musical venue in our own backyard! Blakeley Burger the featured artist has studied fiddle/violin for 15 years, as well as guitar and mandolin. For the past seven years, she has performed regionally as both a soloist and an ensemble member at a range of venues, including: the Kentucky Center for the Arts, the Frazier History Museum, the Norton Center for the Arts, the Lexington Opera House, the Iroquois Amphitheatre, the Brown Theatre, the Station Inn, the Country Music Hall of Fame, and the Red Barn radio. Blakeley has been honored by the North American Country Music Association, the Tennessee/Georgia Country and Gospel Music Association, and the Twin Lakes National Fiddle Contest. She can be seen touring with Tin Whiskey Sisters or performing locally with Yapa! and Hollow Bone. Blakeley is currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Violin Performance with a minor in Spanish at the University of Louisville. Great show Blakely and friends!

The staff has always been very friendly and highly knowledgeable about their products and the competition. The first time we were in the store we looked at several pieces of jewelry including the PAWSitively Yours Pet jewelry and some gemstones. Another time we looked at the charm bracelets and the lady we over several of the charms with us and gave us the charm booklet which I was surprised to find FULL of different charms. I can't really compare them to something like Pandora because I'm just beginning to look at getting a charm bracelet at some point. This weekend we were looking at their diamonds. Diamond rings and loose diamonds. The lady we spoke with (Gloria) was VERY helpful and actually educated us on diamonds. She took the time to show us the differences in the diamond quality and allowed us to look into the diamonds to understand what causes internal discolorations. So far, I have always left very impressed and will consider buy from them every time I'm looking for a new piece.
