This tax team is absolutely top-tier, especially for the reasonable price they charge. I've been doing my taxes the old-fashioned way for years, but with a busy career and growing family, I needed a more convenient solution. They made the entire process incredibly easy, and we were able to complete our taxes 100% online from start to finish. The team was responsive, professional, and answered all of our questions throughout the process. They saved us time, eliminated the stress, and provided excellent service at a fair price. If you're looking for a knowledgeable and efficient tax team that values customer service, I highly recommend them. read more

Really appreciate all the help from Arin and Ryan at Legend Tax! This year I've had more questions than normal and they have been very helpful. Thanks Guys read more

I am deeply disappointed with the service I received from [LEGEND TAX,CPA]. As a loyal customer, I expected timely and efficient tax filing services, but unfortunately, that was not the case. Despite providing all necessary documentation well in advance of the deadline, my taxes were not filed in a timely manner. The lack of communication from [Legend Tax, CPA] regarding the status of my tax filing only added to my frustration. I had to constantly follow up with them to inquire about the progress, and each time, I was met with vague responses and excuses. As a result of their negligence, I experienced undue stress and anxiety, worrying about potential penalties for late filing. It's unacceptable for a professional tax service company to fail in such a fundamental aspect of their service. I expected better from [Legend Tax, CPA], and unfortunately, they failed to meet even the most basic expectations. I will not be returning as a customer and cannot recommend their services to others who value timely and reliable tax filing. I made an appointment on March 22nd, paid my fees for a service that I didn't receive. The offer manager, Ryan was quick to take my money. All of the documents were sent through docu-sign, and someone dropped the ball when they didn't capture the electronic signature. So in return this now delays my refund. What is the point of making an appointment early to file when they don't submit in a timely manner. So not sure what other emails, or calls I was suppose to make here. I was the one who had to follow up numerous times. It's very frustrating to receive poor service. Ever since the office changed new owners, the lack of service and efficiency hasn't been the same. read more

They are very professional. We are pleased with the service provided . Highly recommend Legend Tax !

Aaron gave me some great advice that really helped. I strongly recommend using Legend Tax. They are honest and helpful - 5 stars.

I cant believe that it has been 4 years as a new Yelp user that I found Eddie and Legend Tax Service. I had just closed a business and the IRS had me stressed. My health and my relationships were begin affected and I found Legend thanks to some Yelp users. Eddie took us in and gave us the confidence that we were in good hands and within a couple of months it was all worked out. I never thought I could get rid of that burden as quickly as it did. Today he continues to help us as our college kids transition out of school and into their adult lives. Not only does he help get us the most we can but helps us to prepare for next year. Of course it all starts for us with Ryan in the office and all his support. We are so grateful to the Legend team and the Yelpers that gave us this gem. read more

Eddy really took the time to get to understand my accounting needs. I came to him on extremely short notice at one of the most critical times of tax season. I called first thing in the morning as soon. As they opened. He didn't waste any time to get me sorted and on my way for an appointment on the very next business day. Eddy not only took note of my needs but also made some good suggestions and recommendations for the next tax season. He's been in the CPA game for 25+ years and can get you the answers to your CPA needs. I highly recommend coming to see Eddy at Legend Tax! read more

Reached out to Eddy based on a personal friend's recommendation. Eddy for some reason never responded to emails and only would call hoping he would catch me. Eventually we connected and he said would be best to meet in person. I scheduled a time to meet with him a month later. The following week his assistant called me 3 times in a row, then called my wife twice, then me 2 more times trying to reschedule my meeting since Eddy was going to be traveling during the time I had scheduled and wanted to set a meeting for 2 months after our original conversation. I can't speak to his ability to deal with taxes, but the inability, or unwillingness to send an email and the fact that his assistant called me until I answered like a scorned ex was enough for me to no want to deal with this organization. read more

Contacted Legend Tax regarding a complicated LLC situation. Eddie promptly returned my call. After reviewing facts of my situation, Eddie quickly diagnosed a reasonable - and sensical - approach to handling the issue. Honestly, I was nervous about hearing what he might say. Afterwards, I was relieved. While I can't go into particulars of the call, I can say that Eddie is very personable and professional. He is a patient listener who offers solutions in easily understood language. For sure, taxes can be scary. Eddie makes things easier to handle. read more

Eddy helped me form my Corporation several years ago and has done my personal and corporate taxes since then. He and Ryan run a very professional and efficient business. The appointments go quick and smoothly because they enable me to securely submit my data before the appointments. I have recommended them to friends and clients without hesitation. Others may charge less but you get what you pay for and his advice has saved me enough to pay the fees many times over. This year I also had him do my mother's taxes because of a large capital gain on a property which was sold. With his advice we we're able to significantly minimize the capital gains tax. I highly recommend. read more

Found out Eddy had been overcharging me for years. I guess it's partly my fault because I should have been paying more attention but I was a new business owner and trusted him. Big mistake. I went to a new tax office this year and was shown how he had overcharged me hundreds of dollars. If you're new to business taxes go somewhere else. UPDATE: RESPONSE TO OWNER Me being a "self-formed" business has nothing to do with you charging me 2 separate fees that were not necessary. I consulted two different CPA's who reviewed your work and confirmed the fact that you overcharged me. Nice try, but blaming me to try and clear your name is just sad. read more

Eddy is awesome! Yelp never let's me down. I run a business and for the last few years, my business partner and I have been using Turbo Tax for LLC to file our business and personal taxes. Boy, was that a mistake! Eddy managed to save us money and educate us on many sound business principles at the same time. There were many things we wouldn't have discovered on our own if we had continued to be our own tax "experts." Legend Tax is our new go-to for both our LLC and personal taxes. I would recommend them to all family and friends who need an honest, charismatic and down-to-earth tax guy. Go see Eddy and Ryan, they'll take care of you. read more

Where to start? Wow! So, originally my business partner and I came in to Legend tax to file our first taxes for our small business. We started our company in 2013 and failed to file our 2013 taxes, to make matters worse we also didn't file our 2014 taxes and had to get a 5 month extension. We were coming down to our last straw and we went here on recommendation from Larson IT. We couldn't be more satisfied. At the end of it all we thought we were going to owe about $1500 in CPA fees and about $1000-2000 in backed taxes. We went to the office and met up with Eddy C. and we began to talk about our company. I really liked how he didn't jump right into the business, he asked us about what we did and seemed genuinely interested to forge a relationship. I did not expect this from a CPA (I honestly didn't know what to expect) We went on to go over our taxes, which weren't exactly in the best order, but we did have them inputed into quick books in descent shape. The entire process went on for about 4 hours; this was a bit longer than I expected, but here's why! In the end, Eddy told us that we only had to split the taxes $800 between each partner. However, he then said that it wasn't money we owed, but it was a refund instead. We both paid taxes and received an income almost instantly. The crazy thing is, the fees were actually a lot more reasonable than I expected as well. That was a relief! Here's the thing: he also went back on my personal taxes and made an amendment back in 2013 and found a way to refund me an additional $1000.00 No way, right? I came in looking to spend money and walked out with money from places I never even expected. Who takes the time to write a review for a CPA? LOL I guess this guy deserves it; he earned it! read more

In a nutshell: Awesome!! I have been working with Eddy for several years and have found him to be excellent. I have referred him out to several folks and not only have they validated what I know: Professional, Organized, Flexible, Friendly and overall a pleasure to work with.. Eddy and Ryan get back to us promptly and help in whatever way they can.. I highly recommend them for personal taxes and small businesses. Great attitude and a way to make the tax filing process as easy as possible. Also love the customer service. The best part for all of you folks that can't make it down to his office: they are great with technology and make things happen through emails and phone calls just fine.. read more

Eddy helped me set up my S Corp and really made me feel comfortable throughout the entire tax preparation process. Eddy is very thorough in his analysis and very creative in his approach. I'd recommend using Legend Tax for any of my friends and family. I have used Legend Tax for the last 2 years and Eddy has taught me the ropes of how to navigate through the sometimes foggy tax code. I've made mistakes and he has helped me correct my missteps and get back in order. There's nothing better than dealing with a reliable professional and easy going environment when having to do your taxes. Eddy's the man! read more

I would recommend anyone who wants someone that knows their tax laws to go here! Not only did Eddie and his staff have great attitudes but they were very professional. I have been with Eddy for 3 years now and he and his staff have been excellent. I am not the best client when it comes to timely prep, but he is always so nice, attentive and he will provide the best level of advice and service. He is prompt, professional and supportive. read more

You don't need ANOTHER review telling you that Eddy is literally the bomb dot com, but I'm going to give it to you anyway!! I don't know much about money (other than how to spend it and earn it), but Eddy answers the rest and keeps it simple! He really takes the time to get to know you, give you legitimate CPA advice, and take care of your taxes in a jiff! No complaints on how "complicated" it's going to be, and he's more affordable than CPAs that I've been to who don't even bother to explain anything nor offer advice for the upcoming year. SO happy we went to him this year! BTW, cool little puzzles at his desk and in his waiting room -- makes the whole experience less painful :) read more

I remember a time when I used to dread doing taxes. When I'd look at that online form and wonder what I was doing. I don't know how much most CPAs are, but his services are not cheap in my book. This is the one thing I'm cool dropping several hundreds of dollars on. Eddy is worth every penny. He knows his stuff and is always helpful. I love that he gives suggestions for things to keep in mind for the upcoming year. He's been doing my taxes for a few years now and I'll never go back to doing it myself! read more

Great CPA knows his stuff will use him again next year got over 10k refund ck him out

Eddy is the consummate professional and an great guy. He not only knows and keeps current with all tax related information, which all CPA's should, but he educates you in language you can understand to aid and prevent you from making common mistakes. We have used his service and referred people to him throughout the years; everyone is always pleased due to his professionalism, knowledge, and genuine nature. His prices are affordable and fair. I am sure it is possible to find the "starbucks" type pricing out there for a decent cup of coffee, but I would rather spend my money on the "Portola" premium cup of coffee. If you don't get the reference here is the gist: You can pay less at H&R Block, but you won't get the exceptional expertise that Legend Tax/Eddy provides, which proves invaluable in the long run. Taxes are not for amateurs who took a 6 week course. The tax world is like the Matrix, you really need a Morpheus or Oracle (Eddy) to guide you (Neo) through it so you can succeed and do your job. Leave your taxes to Eddy. read more

Unfair that this review was flagged. I am not going to use my real name in this review. He is all talk. He may be friendly in person, but check your returns carefully. This review is to highly recommend the accounting services of Eddy Cheung, Certified Public Accountant. My husband and I have been clients of Eddy Cheung for several years. Our financial situation is complicated because we own several rental properties. Eddy has been an invaluable source of guidance to us, helping us to make the right financial decisions at the right time. He has a thorough understanding of tax law, real estate law, and bankruptcy law. He focuses on our situation, and understands it completely. At times, he has even called us "out of the blue" and said that he had been thinking about our circumstances, and has thought of a possible solution to some issue with which we had been struggling. Eddy is extremely intelligent, and applies himself vigorously to the best outcome for our tax situation, and our plans for our next financial move. Because of Eddy Cheung's advice and counsel, we have a much greater sense of security in our financial future. We consider Eddy an invaluable business partner. Fear of changing CPA but needed someone with more experience in the field of LLC companies. Took a chance and The Man the Legend Eddy has done it again. My wife has been going to Eddy (the CPA) to get her taxes done back before he was with Legend, so that tells you what she thinks of him. She has had nothing but great things to say about him, every year, for the last 7 years. This month was the first time I had sent him my taxes documents as well. It was a pleasure and easy working with him and answering his questions over the phone. He was all about getting us the absolute biggest refund back as possible, and giving us great advice for the future. We'll continue to go to Eddy every March for as long as he is a CPA. read more

The best we have ever had after all these years. We have been going to a real estate book keeper for our taxes for many years and got fed up with having to wait three weeks every year for the final numbers. So our daughter ( an RN) recommended this CPA , and what a great difference. He even reviewed the previous year's tax return and found an error that caused us to pay far more taxes than we should have. Eddy Cheung is by far the best we have ever worked with as far as taxes go. Period. read more

Yelp did not disappoint me this time again when we needed to find a CPA who can help us with our estimated taxes and tax return. I contacted at least 10 CPAs and Eddy was the only CPA who not only responded to my call quickly but also provided me more information than I needed to know about working with K-1. Because we live in O.C., we had to cancel our first consultation appointment due to bad traffic, and then I was almost an hour late to our rescheduled appointment due to bad traffic again. Eddy showed a great understanding and still spent 40 minutes with us. Then, he was able to squeeze us to help us with our tax return two days after our consultation meeting in March, which is usually the busiest month for CPAs. Just like other yelppers have said about Eddy, he is a tax strategic guy, listens to all your questions/problems, and provides the best and yet simple answers/solutions with the goal to give you the maximum benefits on your tax filing! Moreover, he responds quickly even after he has helped file the tax. We like how he thinks for his customers and shows dedication to maintaining the relationship. We also like his office staff who are professional and friendly. Also, their use of technology, such as drop box, makes it so convenient and time-saving for their customers. I wish I had found Eddy earlier since I was doing taxes all by myself by using the online software for many years. If you are reading this review and are looking for someone who you can trust to handle your tax-filing and related questions, I highly recommend that you contact Eddy. He is certainly worth your time and money!! read more
