Nice assortment of toys and prices are reasonable. Staff were very helpful. A few toys were open for kids to try which is always nice.

Kind clerks. Something for every single kid. Hopefully they'll make it. Toy stores are so fun when they are like this.

I dropped the truck off for repair, and while I understood repairs can sometimes take a while, the process took a very long time. Eventually, I received one phone call letting me know the repair had been completed. Unfortunately, after 90 days of not picking it up, I later learned that the truck had been surrendered. What's hardest for me to understand is that I never received a second phone call, voicemail, warning, or any kind of notice that my truck was about to be surrendered. Not one. What makes this especially frustrating is that over the years I've received numerous phone calls from the store over much smaller things -- special-ordered parts, minor items, and other routine pickups. So it's difficult for me to understand why there wasn't more effort made to contact me over something worth nearly $2,000 and carrying so much personal value. This hobby store means a lot to me personally. My late father used to take me there when I was younger, and some of my best memories with him came from spending time there together. These days, I love bringing my own two children there and sharing the same hobby with them. That's why this situation feels so devastating. It wasn't just an RC truck to me. It represented years of memories, time, money, and something meaningful I shared across generations of my family. I understand businesses have policies, and I'm not trying to attack anyone personally. I just truly wish more effort had been made before permanently surrendering something that clearly meant so much to a longtime customer. I still hope there's some way this situation can be made right.

I was positively delighted to discover that there is a good game shop nearby. I have a list of…read moregames that I enjoy, none of which moved to Minnesota with me. With my return to the office becoming imminent, I knew the chips were down when it came to obtaining brain reset tools. One of my favorites is a good brain teaser, so Rush Hour was the order of the day. Being who I am, I was instantly distracted by all of the familiar old friends. I was lucky that Nathaniel was the one showing me where to find Rush Hour. The man knew everything about each one of the games that I was curious about. He even showed me games that were related to my old favorites (Arkham Horror, namely). I didn't get any of the wonderful cooperative games today, but I know I will be back when I find my game crew. This is a fantastic place to go for anyone who enjoys board games, card games, and puzzles.

The quality wasn't the greatest but it was free so I'll take what I can get. Since the store wasn't super busy on a Tuesday night my friend and I got some nice recommendations from the guy that was working in the store. My colleague tends to play party games so his lighter multiplayer recommendations made sense. My partner on the other hand prefers heavy euros but I didn't feel like asking about those this time around although I did see them carry some heavier games. There were a group of older adults playing a board game on the long tables in the back. I remember reading about magic the gathering nights so I imagine it might be nice to play here during weeknights when the mall isn't super busy. Also I noticed Games by James sponsored a play area for kids right next to the store. There's giant Jenga, connect 4 and bean bags to keep the little ones occupied while you shop.

Four stars with the caveat of a huge eye roll for being a store for "boys' adventures". The…read moreexclusion/sexism makes me want to rate it a three, but I didn't get that vibe in the store and only saw their mission after the fact. My friend and I stopped in the store at Mall of America because the window display was so fun (who doesn't want a cozy hanging treehouse?) and she was looking for a gift for her kids. There are a ton of cool toys and activities - play sand (it just brushes off and you don't feel dirty after touching it), car mats, swings that hang from doorways, kiddo camping gear, and tons more. They've also got some really cute clothing for little ones. The fun and unique items came at a hefty price, though. A pail of play sand was $30; a plastic safety-orange plate and construction-vehicle-shaped utensils came in at $37 for the set. The hanging treehouse that caught our attention was around $250 - there was no price tag but the gentleman at the counter was able to quote it without having to look it up. I'm guessing it's a common question. If you want to splurge on your kiddos - boys or girls - this is a fun stop with lots of activity-based items that will get them away from screens.

There were only 2 people working at the time and they were both at the stations building cars with customers. This is for sure the type of place that could benefit from having a greeter or just someone that can just help answer questions while waiting. I feel like after waiting 10 or so minutes we kind of lost interest as the line never moved and we were still unsure about a few things. Would maybe circle back later on if my little cousins show interest again.

I was lured in by the young man racing a radio controlled car our in front. It started out well, everything was fun, bright and colorful cars, lots of customization options. I watched families play with toy cars, I priced out several models, and seriously was trying to figure what to get. Perhaps I talked to the employees a bit much, old people do tend to over talk the staff, we get a bit lonely. But I was really enjoying the place. (even if it was a bit overpriced for what it is, think theme park toys) Imagine my shock when the staff got a call from the manger (who watches the employees remotely on a camera) that I was to be considered a loiterer (I spent too much time shopping and not buying fast enough you see) and was to leave the store. Staff apologized to me, but I had to go. I'll take my 800+ credit rating and my stack of empty credit cards to a real RC shop that does not treat customers like dairy cattle. Avoid, you can get better RC cars from a company that does not treat potential customers like panhandlers. Really disappointed, I wanted to bring my partner and I in to buy cars this weekend. But we will go someplace where we are wanted. They call this the "Build a Bear" of RC cars. But I've spent a lot of money at build a bear and NEVER been treated like this.
